They don't just look like them...they are them. Down to the kit that comes with them (see the small extension for mounting on top of the totem?). With the exception of the folding base - I think that's new? I don't know that Rockville are the manufacturers, but these are definitely the exact same product.
You can also use a truss bag to carry two of them half assembled. Saves quite a bit of time and protects them. Just stick some foam inside to protect them from one another (as well as from putting excess wear on the welds). Makes it very easy to carry two of them at once. I do this with my Rockvilles, though I don't use totems often anymore.
Have both heights I keep the small one assembled with out the baseplate. So it is about 2 min to finish. Tip: keep speaker nipple in top plate facing inside. So if I need it. It’s right there for my speakers.
I have the color keys. I have two sets (one is now broken). They take a good amount of time to set up. For a while I left one set constructed instead of taking them down each time. This ended up back firing because one stand’s welds broke off the plate. I just use the totems. They are quicker to set up than the color keys IMO.
I have both, the Rockville are better build quality, but considerably heavier. For light duty and portability go colorkey, for build quality and durability go Rockville. Both look identical to the client and guests.
I had the same exact stand, same exact parts they were from Rockville. Too heavy and cumbersome, I sold them and bought the Danny Max totems. I have the Danny Max totems set up in about 2 1/2 minutes
@DJJoeBunn, Thanks for the video. How do you attach your movers to these totems? For regular F34 truss, I use the top plates that have the slats in them for my Both Lighting MH-200 & Aura 1915s. But I was looking at some smaller movers for weddings and smaller events.
My truss unit barely leaves home anymore because it requires at least two people to move and takes up so much space in my vehicle and at the venue. Where I am dedicated space for the DJ always winds up being super tight. I have two sets of totems and they have made a huge difference with my set ups. My one question, Joe, is do you weigh down the bases for more stability? I park my Chauvet Intimidators on top and gotta be honest they swing a little wild sometimes! Thanks for an epic video, your content is always incredibly helpful. 👍
I’ve got Chauvet 375ZX’s… these base plates seem a little narrow. I want NO rocking back and forth when my lights are running. Plus, I need them to be 6 1/2 feet tall.
@enmanuelTorres24.. So.. you edited your comment, and it is still difficult to read AND unprofessional. Nice job! By the way, there is nothing "amatuer" about these. They look amazing when used properly. Just like vertical trusses, popup trusses have their own use.
@@JamookieI know I don’t speak or write English very well, but the thing that I don’t like is the title of the video which is misleading DJ’s believe me this stands are very bad, first this are metal and they rust very easy, second truss will never died because you can find different ways to used it, plus truss is in a different level and also truss is aluminum which will never rust!
I hate the colorkey versions I have them and they wobble to much. The novopro ones are much better. The carrying bags are thicker The colorkey ones ripped first time transporting them.
@@DJJoeBunn Novopro is still in business I got an email back from them saying they were. Plus their website is still up and running. Also called 3 pro audio stores I deal with and was told they are still in business
@@DJJoeBunn I reached out to novopro. Got a very fast response. They are in full swing. They don’t have a distributor in the U.S However they have distributors in Europe canada and can be bought from any reseller in the uk.
No way I would want to put them together every event, I have 4 of the Rockville that are the same. I keep mines together. That's almost 40 minutes in setup and take down plus other gear we setup, no way.
These are the Rockville totems. The exact same thing. You just pushing products you have been given products or paid to hype up the gear. DJS DO YOUR RESEARCH!
These look exactly like the Rockville stands expect the Rockvilles are cheaper.

What’s the difference Rockville already has them out

I have to agree with previous comments.
Real trusses are at another level.
This is probably o.k. for small gigs.
Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your gear arsenal, tips and aspects of the business! Have a great weekend!
totally agree. These types of stands are the way to go. Also these make for really good looking speaker stands!

I been rocking with the Rockville ones for 4 years now lol
me as well
SO much nicer than using trussing!
I would suggest getting a little bag for the parts. I have the LS6, but the bags are terrible . The get ripped easy, parts will fall out the bag.
You should have gotten the Rockville totems. I have had them for a few years and the bags are still good.
I have 2 sets of the Rockvilles, one for events and the other for my home. There bags wear out too but not as easy as the LT6 bags.
Nice video, and I enjoy your equipment videos. My question is, do you prefer these over rockville rtp-go? They look similar to the Rockvilles. Thanks
I have the same question.
The stands are exactly the same!
I have both, the Rockville are better build quality, but considerably heavier. For light duty and portability go colorkey, for build quality and durability go Rockville.

I've never used or tested Rockville ones.
rockville has the same
I just really don't like the quality and stability of the portable totems. I will be a believer when they create models that focus on stability.
I had the same exact stand, same exact parts they were from Rockville.
Too heavy and cumbersome, I sold them and bought the Danny Max totems.
I have the Danny Max totems set up in about 2 1/2 minutes
These set up in zero if you leave them assembled like most folks do.

I just sit them on top.

@@tayloredentertainmentllc no, should I?
@@DJJoeBunn I always have, but hey, if it works for you... LOL. I'm always playing devil's advocate.
Hey Joe, is there a way to extend the speaker pole mount that comes with it to say 12in?
Not unless you had one made.

I'm not getting any sway on these. I don't weigh them down any.
I’ve got some old ones I’ve been using, but now I’m considering an LS swap. Will these mate with a T-56?
No clue.
If your just putting moving heads I think gravity stand is a better option
Hated those. They looked mad wobbly with a mover on them.

I wouldn't say these are amateur. These and trussing are for 2 different purposes and occasions.

Hey Joe, From the video it looks like there are other settings holes, so do you have to have them fully extended?
Bring trusses and your done😂
That's correct.
The stands are great, but the bags ate trash...already went through 2 sets of carrying cases. Otherwise, the stands themselves are great.

Not liking these, still prefer vertical truss.
5 minutes just to set up 1 truss?
That's about 20 minutes to do 4
Hence why I said I leave them assembled.
