Hey guys.... Me and Hubby work Maintenance and Food service for the school district and we both still have to work🙄. But not all week. But my two kids 17 and 21 that I still have at home are here at home. Its definitely a change in life for us. Trying our best to inbrace it. I knit, sew and crochet. Hubby sleeps more lol. Daughter has started painting and knitting. My son goes online and plays video games with his friends and he also likes to bake. So nice to see you guys are in high spirits.... 💕 love you guys so much.
Glad to see everyone is ok and baby is growing well . One thing i found is that most of the major museums around the world are doing virtual tours. So cool for someone like me in Wi who will never get to actually see them in person. My 12 yr old daughter is loving them too . Screen time but still educational.

I started working from home yesterday and I absolutely love it. It’s a complete restart that was much needed. I’ll be doing some house projects that I’ve been putting off for months due to the busy corporate wheel.
We are in mandatory shelter in place. So we are doing our part. I feel your pain. Though most are still not adhering to it, I feel it’s a matter of time before drastic measures take place. I am in upper Northern California and zero reported cases in our county and surrounding counties. Also food is hard to come by. I hope things are better for you guys. We have the green egg. Even though it was pretty expensive it was well worth the price we paid for it!! We bought it over 5 years and a few years back we bought the portable one so we could take it camping! As far as the quarantine is going, I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant and I have been a stay at home wife for over 5 years. Everything is still the same since my husband still has to go to work. I did get a call today from my obgyn trying to make my 18 week appointment doable over the phone. I just cancelled it and told them I would contact them if I was having any issues or concerns. My next appointment is scheduled for my 20 week ultrasound on April 28th. I tried to get it on a day my husband is off work but they told me no visitors were allowed
Green Mountain Grills--electric wood pellets. You can smoke or grill with it by setting the temp. My husband has the wifi one and can adjust from his phone.
I’ve been rewatching the fosters and it’s such a good show and also makes me feel better because they cover such serious issues and the characters get through it and it’s really nice to see people come out the other side of awful situations in a time like this
So I am a college student and will be out of school for a month then we will be all online. Until the switch to online I will be/have been doing; lots of cleaning, face masks/at home spa day, organizing everything, reading books, and checking up on my fav youtubers/tv shows. So far I've been really productive. I just hope I can maintain that haha

It’s really not that bad... People need to remember that outside is not cancelled! You guys have a backyard and a deck. There are so many things outside that you can do, and opportunities for Micah to play outside. You can still go for walks and hikes to Austin! If I can make it through our shelter in place order(with 3 teenage boys) here in San Jose, CA, then you will be fine!😉❤️

Smokers are great. Seriously. My dad has one and it is his favorite thing ever. He puts ribs on there for like 6 hours and the meat will fall off the bone. You can also put pizza on it or mac n cheese (which sounds weird but tastes AMAZING), and use it kinda like an oven, so it's perfect for summer. Just keep in mind itll have a smokey flavor, but you can change the flavor with the wood pellets you use (like apple, hickory, cherry, etc). If you get one you wont regret it, especially if it's a Traeger smoker grill. Not only is it great for making food, but during the summer my family all hangs around it while my dad's grilling and its awesome family time.
Additionally, that meme is so me being fortunate enough to be a full time stay at home mom for the last 8 months. I try so hard not to pry into my friends' personal lives that changed to being at home working or not with a little one... but I'm glad you said what you said about how to treat one another being "stuck together" 24 hours. I never ever leave my house but 1 time a week so I am used to isolation. I always do house things when i start getting antsy like painting, organizing, cleaning places that may need extra cleaning.

Some in home ideas...Exercise hour, and if you want to include Micha, Dancing, (with her in your arms and her twirling on the floor). Movie dates with snacks and drinks like in a theatre. Again with Micha...Disney movie date. :) Can also have games/puzzle dates. Just to name a few. :) Stay happy, stay healthy, and stay safe!
I know Micah is too young, but maybe you guys can look into some things like puzzles! That’s what’s really been helping me. But with Micah, painting, coloring, drawing, Disney plus has been great for us! You guys can let Micah go to town on a canvas, and then you guys can create your own art too!
I’m on day 3 of isolation and I want to pull my hair out lol. But I found out that I am getting my dogs back so that is what is keeping me going. I’ve been coloring and journaling. I'm really glad that my day to day life hasn't had to change much with the whole social distancing thing. I'm on maternity leave with a 6 week old and my fiance's work hasn't closed (he works in a mine). We are introverts anyway so I totally get that meme you showed!
#hoodworkout Here is an idea circulating in our area. Neighbors post a sign on their door or in their yard with a suggested exercise or activity such as "5 jumping jacks". As other neighbors walk or jog around they can stop at the signs and do the activity. It was fun to see parents walking with their kids and stopping to do the exercises and it allows people to participate in an activity while still keeping social distance.
We work at home and I have to admit that it is so different when you are being told not to go out. I think a lot of us are dealing with the feeling of being stuck in the house right now. Enjoy sitting on the deck when you can and know that you will get a grill soon.

Not sure if it will work for you or not but when I start to feel overwhelmed I go outside and sit in the grass. Listen to nature or focus on finding the insects that live in your back yard. Just focus on something else other than what has been making you irritated. Close your eyes and relax or meditate outside. Trust me it helps... Coming from a mom of 2 daughters... lmao
Also, hubby started to work from home today. I started in Tuesday. After 5 minutes I was like, I'm gonna have to learn to tune him out! 😂😂😂 But first day went good!! Just hope we don't kill each other by the end of this!!

I feel lucky that I am well set up for isolation, my husband and I have spent almost every hour of everyday together for 28 years and we home schooled our daughter so this is nothing new for us we all have hobbies that helps, I do arts and crafts as does my daughter, my husband makes models, we watch films and TV shows and read, and of course watch RUclips. I might do a lord of the rings extended edition movie marathon, I bought an at home spa kit, I have some adult puzzle and activity books (e.g. extreme dot to dot, sudoku, crosswords, perplexors, adult colouring books etc.), I bought a brownie making kit to make chocolate brownies, I have some books and a magazine to read, watching some NCIS & Stargate, might watch a tv box set I own, might end up doing some studying too.
It hasn’t even been a whole week that my family and I have been under the same roof 24/7 and I’m so ready to check in to the looney bin lol I’m losing it

It's the idea it's like "mandatory" to stay home and avoid contact. Imposed on you through no fault of your own. Of course, since you two have sooo much to do, you need to be home getting stuff done, anyway! 😊
Sounds like anxiety to me. I have depression and anxiety and sometimes noises will bother me to. But i have 3 boys and 1 girl on the way so im getting used to it! Try some personal time, for the both of you. Family is so great but sometimes you do need a few moments to yourself and i dont think that is wrong in anyway! XOXO

I am so jealous lol. I'm 31 weeks with baby #2 and my dr doesn't do nearly as many ultrasounds as yours does!! I had my first one at 8 weeks. Then my anatomy scan at 18 weeks. The next one I'll have is at 36 weeks to check placement and all that. I did do an elective 4D ultrasound at 16 weeks to learn gender early. But I want to see my little bean more lol! Congratulations!!! We are in the home stretch!!!!!!
I’m disabled so I only get out twice a week so no so big of a deal to me to be stuck in the house but I will miss the social aspect of my trips x stay safe xx
As nice as it is to be with your family also think about the families who can't be together. My mom works for the CDC so she's working 12 hours a day 7 days and week and is on call when not at work. It's lucky I'm not working right now and can homeschool both my brothers since my dad also works. I've had some people upset at medical personal and such but just keep in mind they are worried too and are working their absolute asses off away from their families. Treat them well please.
My normal days are spent staying home with my kids and now that we are being told we need to stay inside I don't want to. I miss the gym i miss going out when I want to. But I'm trying to keep myself busy by organizing our small space. I'll be honest I am going to make a quick trip to the craft store to see if I can find stuff for my two 1yos and I to do
Normally a few days on our own wouldn’t be a problem for most people. But because people have the word social distancing I’m their heads now it is like we are forced to. This in turn makes people anxious and so we get antsy. I know when my parents have been away before iv been home for a whole week alone with my dogs without going crazy so I think I’ll take things day by day. At least nowadays we have social media so can call out friends & family and see each other over video chat unlike 20+ years ago.
Jess, I know you have a ton on you right now but one thing you could do is prepare and freeze some meals? I know y'all do the Hello Fresh but I can't afford it for a family of 6. :-/ I'd love some good Foodi recipes/vlogs. I've had my Foodi forever... probably close to a year and haven't used it at all. Kinda intimidated. Lol But yeah... you're definitely gonna need some quick and easy meals after baby sister gets here.
I'm now working from home for the time being. My husband still has to go to work. However, we play video games together and make sure to use headsets so we don't disturb each other. But for me...I'm ok with being stuck at home as I'm such an introvert that I don't like being around people at all. But I have no problem talking to people on the internet. Just try to have fun and play games or play charades. Something to keep your mind occupied for the time being.

I'm really glad that my day to day life hasn't had to change much with the whole social distancing thing. I'm on maternity leave with a 6 week old and my fiance's work hasn't closed (he works in a mine). We are introverts anyway so I totally get that meme you showed!

#hoodworkout Here is an idea circulating in our area. Neighbors post a sign on their door or in their yard with a suggested exercise or activity such as "5 jumping jacks". As other neighbors walk or jog around they can stop at the signs and do the activity. It was fun to see parents walking with their kids and stopping to do the exercises and it allows people to participate in an activity while still keeping social distance.
We work at home and I have to admit that it is so different when you are being told not to go out. I think a lot of us are dealing with the feeling of being stuck in the house right now. Enjoy sitting on the deck when you can and know that you will get a grill soon.

Not sure if it will work for you or not but when I start to feel overwhelmed I go outside and sit in the grass. Listen to nature or focus on finding the insects that live in your back yard. Just focus on something else other than what has been making you irritated. Close your eyes and relax or meditate outside. Trust me it helps... Coming from a mom of 2 daughters... lmao

Also, hubby started to work from home today. I started in Tuesday. After 5 minutes I was like, I'm gonna have to learn to tune him out! 😂😂😂 But first day went good!! Just hope we don't kill each other by the end of this!!
This mamma of 4 is about to go crazy with the quarantine. Here in Norway even the soccer fields and playgrounds are off limits for right now. Your doctor has such a nice and soothing voice. Is he also nice looking??? :) Love and hugs from Norway!

I feel lucky that I am well set up for isolation, my husband and I have spent almost every hour of everyday together for 28 years and we home schooled our daughter so this is nothing new for us we all have hobbies that helps, I do arts and crafts as does my daughter, my husband makes models, we watch films and TV shows and read, and of course watch RUclips.

I might do a lord of the rings extended edition movie marathon, I bought an at home spa kit, I have some adult puzzle and activity books (e.g. extreme dot to dot, sudoku, crosswords, perplexors, adult colouring books etc.), I bought a brownie making kit to make chocolate brownies, I have some books and a magazine to read, watching some NCIS & Stargate, might watch a tv box set I own, might end up doing some studying too.
You should get a Traeger. My grandpa has one and he loves it. He makes great food using it and they also have a website with products and recipes.
It hasn’t even been a whole week that my family and I have been under the same roof 24/7 and I’m so ready to check in to the looney bin lol I’m losing it

I read somewhere to make a scavenger hunt for the kids. One inside and one outside or you can do one both inside and out to really get the kids running.

Sounds like anxiety to me. I have depression and anxiety and sometimes noises will bother me to. But i have 3 boys and 1 girl on the way so im getting used to it! Try some personal time, for the both of you. Family is so great but sometimes you do need a few moments to yourself and i dont think that is wrong in anyway! XOXO
CABIN FEVER HHHEEELLLPPP!!!! As long as Micah can play out in the deck let her play. Austin I get it I do. If you're not used to having to stay in it's hard. Take walks, or ride a bike with Micah. You can still go outside as long as you don't get in a large group of people. I live in a elderly community so I understand cabin fever. Your family is in my prayers. I am so jealous lol. I'm 31 weeks with baby #2 and my dr doesn't do nearly as many ultrasounds as yours does!! I had my first one at 8 weeks. Then my anatomy scan at 18 weeks. The next one I'll have is at 36 weeks to check placement and all that. I did do an elective 4D ultrasound at 16 weeks to learn gender early. But I want to see my little bean more lol! Congratulations!!! We are in the home stretch!!!!!!
My work is still open so no quarantine for me. My days are continuing as normal. But if you haven't watched it the Witcher is a fantastic show.
I’m disabled so I only get out twice a week so no so big of a deal to me to be stuck in the house but I will miss the social aspect of my trips x stay safe xx

As nice as it is to be with your family also think about the families who can't be together. My mom works for the CDC so she's working 12 hours a day 7 days and week and is on call when not at work. It's lucky I'm not working right now and can homeschool both my brothers since my dad also works. I've had some people upset at medical personal and such but just keep in mind they are worried too and are working their absolute asses off away from their families. Treat them well please.
My normal days are spent staying home with my kids and now that we are being told we need to stay inside I don't want to. I miss the gym i miss going out when I want to. But I'm trying to keep myself busy by organizing our small space. I'll be honest I am going to make a quick trip to the craft store to see if I can find stuff for my two 1yos and I to do

Normally a few days on our own wouldn’t be a problem for most people. But because people have the word social distancing I’m their heads now it is like we are forced to. This in turn makes people anxious and so we get antsy. I know when my parents have been away before iv been home for a whole week alone with my dogs without going crazy so I think I’ll take things day by day. At least nowadays we have social media so can call out friends & family and see each other over video chat unlike 20+ years ago.
Jess, I know you have a ton on you right now but one thing you could do is prepare and freeze some meals? I know y'all do the Hello Fresh but I can't afford it for a family of 6. :-/ I'd love some good Foodi recipes/vlogs.
I've had my Foodi forever... probably close to a year and haven't used it at all. Kinda intimidated. Lol But yeah... you're definitely gonna need some quick and easy meals after baby sister gets here.

I'm now working from home for the time being. My husband still has to go to work. However, we play video games together and make sure to use headsets so we don't disturb each other. But for me...I'm ok with being stuck at home as I'm such an introvert that I don't like being around people at all. But I have no problem talking to people on the internet. Just try to have fun and play games or play charades. Something to keep your mind occupied for the time being.
