This was the reason why Mig 35 with complete ToT under MRFA would be the most benificial to us despite it's lacklusture export performance. There would be almost no issues with it's mass production be it raw materials and engine and we could've easily integrated our indeginously developed technologies like AESA radar, RWR, Jamming pods, missiles, etc.

India has the 3rd largest Titanium reserves in the world, about half that of China, and 11% of all global reserves. However India does not mine and produce it in enough quantity locally. DRDO already has developed tech to produce titanium sponge from ore in 2011, and there are a few companies that produce it in very small quantities. Its time to scale that up big time!

Hmm, India have good and balanced relation with Russia. If the f404 engine production line was there in India, then mk1a was not facing such issue as we can buy the required materials from Russia same as that of cruide oil. Seems like we will not face any such issue for f414.

It is a weird opinion but along with Rafael, Tejas variants and AMCA Bharat should explore option of Super Sukhoi by adding its 2-3 squardons as a stop gap to fill up deficit due to retirement of Mig 21 and delay in Tejas, AMCA and GE issue and looking to extend services of Jaguar and Mirage 2000. I know the role of these aircrafts are different, can not be exactly match with Sukhoi and vis versa. One more positive is the production line of Sukhoi is hot so logistics should not be an issue.

We start process of procurement of aircraft after commissioning of our aircraft carrier and expect it to be available as per our wish just like we go to market and purchase vegetables whenever we want. Problem is that we Indians consider ourselves as most intelligent on this planet, whereas we are the most corrupt creature on this planet. These projects require very long term planning and a wisdom to visualise the hurdels of future but we are the most intelligent on this planet so we can do anything

IAF should also consider f35 purchase from US as a j20 counter part..Trump administration will make this deal easier for indian govt

      Can't trust USA, UK & hence F15, F18, , Eurofighter are out.
Saab Gripen is only assembled in Sweden ; all its parts are foreign. It is a single engine fighter but still costs much more than many twin engine fighters. So
      ..Out.
Russian aircrafts are made & upgraded by HAL , whose employees have left spanners in the engine bay - Air force doesn't trust them & that's why also asked GE to supply the engine to Air force directly.
Dassault knows all this & sees Indian Air force as stuck & hence asking EXORBITANT price.
solution is Russian aircrafts made by private players in India, with complete ToT to not face any soare parts issues.

We can turn adversity into opportunity by focusing even more on tejas mk2 and su30 upgrade problem is do we have not only technical (which we probably have) but professional managerial capacity to perform better than expectations on these projects. MRFA is not going to happen any time soon and even then no company in world will be able to deliver that order under 10 years after placing order. If we want to compete with china, we have to create miracles with our industry like they did. Just as you said imagine power of chinese industry that even partial sanctions on them can slow down advanced manufacturers like france.
