One of the reasons I love watching Korean historical dramas is because of the amazing calligraphy they always exhibit in the dramas. The brush and the strokes on the paper sheet always excites me.

Calligraphy is something beautiful and attractive. I have never studied classical calligraphy. But this fall, as part of the fourth Korean festival in Russia, I tried to do the work in calligrafuturism style.
And I wrote a phrase in two languages
    "우정과 신뢰로 함께 빚는 미래"
    " Дружить, доверять, действовать"
This is a phrase symbolizing the 30th anniversary of relations between Korea and Russia and expressing hope for their further development.
I decided to imagine what the Russian alphabet might look like if it retained its meaning of letters, but borrowed elements of the script from Hangul.
And so on the canvas ,ㄷ turns into a Russian C , an inverted ㅂ into A, and a couple of unfolded ㅅ and ㅣ into Ж.
And all this against the sky. Because if all the peoples of the world have something guaranteed to have in common, it is the sky.
🌌"If you look at the sky for 20 minutes a day, you will definitely become happier. I hope you often look at the sky." - Kim Namjoon 🌌
I hope someday I will find a good teacher and master the classical school of writing. After all, she is so beautiful and fascinating.
Thank you very much for this video.

Last year the korean culture center in my country held a calligraphy contest and thanks to it I found out about Korean calligraphy! Nowadays when I really stressed and nervous I just take a brush with one of my hands and a hot tea cup with another one and start drawing imagining new ways of writing korean words.... that is the amazing feeling. Everyone should try it! You won't regret!

The first time I tried to learn calligraphy about 3 years ago. At that time I learned Japanese calligraphy (but not a pro). Making calligraphy is a bit difficult, it takes precision and a lot of practice to get good results. Someday I want to learn Korean calligraphy too. I'm very interested about all things related to Korean^^
