Hi Kathleen! Love the clock finish, and Isabella's Garden looks fabulous! Your quilt looks lovely too! Love the colors! Wishing you all the best for your surgery🙏🙏🙏 Hope you'll be feeling well enough to get some marathon stitching done while you heal!
Thanks, Maureen! Dare I say it…I’m getting a little bored with tv and sttitching. lol. It’s been a full week now, with one more to go, I’ll have a ton of finishes and new starts on my next video though. I managed to frame Isablla’s Garden today and am very happy with her.
Prayers sent for a quick surgery recovery and also hope you will be able to get a lot of stitching done….love love love the quilt top…too funny about your Dad and his dog - my husband is the exact same way about his little dog Maxine - she never does anything wrong 🙄 and he vehemently defends her no matter how compelling the evidence of her being a real ‘stinker’…😂🤣😂
Thank you for the surgery well wishes. It went well, and I’m getting a ton of stitching done while taking it easy. Pretty sure my dad knows which dog got the ornaments, he just didn’t want to confess. His dog is too cute, but she gets into a LOT. She’s not quite a year though, so still young.
Such a creative finish with the bathroom clock! I have that Bareroots embroidery pattern too! Retro candy project bag... how fun! Fun to see the vintage ornaments! Great job on the HST quilt! Wishing you all the best with your surgery!
Thank you! I’m getting lots of post-surgery stitching done. I loved all the Bareroots patterns that I saw at the quilt show, but I really do NOT need another hobby, even if it is just another form of stitching. lol.
Hi Kathleen! Your bath clock turned out so cute! Great job on FFOing it. Isabella's Garden is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing her with the beading completed. Wow, you got a ton of stitching done and framing. Hope your surgery goes well and that you make a quick and uneventful recovery. My experience with laparoscopic surgery was great. They removed my gallbladder laparoscopically. Worse thing was the gas pain afterwards from them inflating the abdomen but that was only a couple of days for me, so I hope yours goes well. Loved the vintage stitching. Too bad some dog got into your cross stitching though. I remember Becca from SamBrie Stitches discovering how mice had got into her totes of stitching and ruining some pieces, and how heartbroken she was. I imagine I would feel the same. Take care. Dawn in Texas
Thank you! I was happy with the clock results! I finished Isabella’s Garden while recuperating. Recovery from laparoscopy was definitely easier than full blown surgery. Everyone warned me about the gas pain, but it was definitely sharper pain in my shoulder than I was expecting. It only started when I was lying down though, so it didn’t affect my ability to stitch. My worst fear is mice getting into my stitching! I get mice occasionally in the basement, which is where I store seasonal decorations, I’m hoping I have everything packed well enough in bags and tubs to keep the mice out.
Hi Kathleen, your Clock looks amazing, thanks for sharing. I just finished Lila Studio's WINTER - I have the other Season's to go. Hope your surgery goes as planned 😉
Thank you! I appreciate your well wishes for my surgery (which went very well). I haven’t worked on Lila Studio’s Spring this week during my marathon stitching, but I’m planning to work on it (and maybe finish it) this weekend. I love the bright colors.
When I was 21/22 I had a laparoscopy and they found adhesions and removed them the best they could. Now at 57, no, they never got all the adhesions, but I live with it the best I can. Anyway, AFTER your surgery, I found, and this is supposedly normal, a LOT of painful gas trapped up in my collarbone/shoulder area of which they said is normal. It lasted for several days but did go away. If I were you, I'd save your magazines and/or books for those days because you won't want to stitch, it'll feel too painful at the beginning. I wish you the BEST and hope they are able to resolve any issues for you fully! And you will get back to stitching a few days after! I promise!!!!! Enjoy the time spent doing it!
Thank you for the advice on what to expect! I wasn’t expecting the shoulder pain to be so sharp or in the spot where it landed. Luckily (or unluckily), it mostly only happened when I tried to lie down to sleep, so I didn’t get much sleep the three nights immediately after the surgery. I had similar surgery about 25 years ago, but it was a full incision, and even with the weird gas pain, this was definitely faster recovery! Thank you for your well wishes.
Wow love your clock finish looks amazing 🤩 have a wonderful evening and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Thank you! Happy stitching to you too!!

Your clock turned out great! Love seeing your retro stitching. Lots of luck with your surgery.
Thank you! I’m happy with the way the clock turned out. Always fun when the finished project matches the vision, which isn’t always the case. lol.
Love your clock finish!! Wishing you the best in your surgery and recovery...hoping you can get lots of "recuperative stitching" done!!
Thank you for the well wishes! I am getting a LOT of stitching in.
Good luck for your surgery!! Oh, I just have to say I love the frame on your geese & I was soo impressed you did it yourself! Congrats!
Thank you for the well wishes!
