Blame the developers for not instituting a swords only rule for this specific fight only. It's hilarious, but this could have been easily avoided to keep it more canon. Would've been funnier if Ike was able to use multiple weapons. Imagine Zelgius getting merked by a bow and arrow.
@@MapleHero120 very true, but at this stage in the game, Ike should be capped at 40 skill or very close to that plus speed and a decent amount of luck. As long as Ike is at or near 40 skill, 34+ speed, the weapon triangle really won't be much of a factor for Ike in this battle. Ike should still get hits in with the hammer and you only need 3 hits to defeat Zelgius with a hammer.
Ike defeating Zelgius with a hammer is actually the cannon way Ike defeats him which you can only see if you clear every chapter in the game in one turn, which is why Emblem Ike has a Hammer as one of his engage weapons in Fire Emblem Engage.
>deep look into character defining flashback for Zelgius >Yune self monologues about how he has just died, and that the memory is sad, and the soul is lost forever >happy jingle telling you that you just got a new item
Altina the original owner of Ragnell and Alondite dual wielded the blades. I assume Ike could do the same seeing as he swings that two handed sword around with the proficiency of a one handed sword.
I've exclusively only played GBA FE games because a GBA Emulator is really easy to acquire. I tried PoR ONCE and it felt like different, truly a new and unique experience compared to all the other games in the series. Tellius is an absolute train ride.

I always hated this fight, killing the greatest unit in Fire Emblem history. Also, I don't understand why Tibarn hates Zelgius so much. Tibarn said he was fighting Zelgius when his tribe was attacked so Zelgius didn't actually kill them. We can recruit Lehran, the TRUE antagonist but we can't re-recruit Zelgius! Zelgius is Lehran' servant and they taunt us by making him playable for two chapters, only to have us kill him in the end! Zelgius seems like a good man despite what he's done and if this game gets a remake, I WANT TO GET ZELGIUS BACK!!!
Somebody did the math and if Zelgius could activate Eclipse on Ashera, it would kill her in one hit. Unfortunately, Mantle comes with the effects of two other skills, Nihil and Fortune.
So the summary for the fight: Ike and Zelgius have their 1v1, Haar, Jill, and Soren don't fight but be spectators, and everyone is fighting Zelgius's soldiers until he dies

Most fire emblem games are like that. A small force that battles against a fell or evil god (most of the time its a dragon but dragons are seen mostly as Gods in FE games) Fire Emblem Gaiden is a notable example.
How did you come to that conclusion? This ain't true at all, so pleaee, don't spread false informations arround like this. Sanaki and Micaiah are both related to Sephiran, a bird from the heron tribe, and Misaiah. This means that Sanaki and Micaiah are both succesors of the heron tribe and are probably related to Rafiel, Reyson and Leanne, because they three are successors of Sephiran himself. That's why he is incabale of attacking them all. Sephiran tried somehow to save and rescue Micaiah but he failed and thought she was dead or were lost. And that's why he is so surprised to see her again. Zelgius is not the father of Micaiah and Sanaki. He somehow knew Micaiah is related to Sephiran and Sanaki And if he is really the father then look on his hair and eye colors. It seems like he's from the raven tribe. And Zelgius would be also murdered by the senators or he would be alongside with Sanaki all the time and everyone wolud knew Zelgius is her farther. And if that's the case, he would be treated like a king or something and he would be able to hear Yune's (and probably Ashera's) voice. It would be more logical. But none of all the stuff I mentioned is actuallly shown in the game.
imagine being Zelgius and having spent TWO ENTIRE GAMES trying to challenge Gawain's swordsmanship only to find yourself in front of Ike with a hammer

But hammer sacrifices too much of accuracy due to its low accuracy and weapon triangle disadvantage

Not just a new item: you just looted the weapon of the man you killed a minute ago.
2:45 I like to think that Ike tried to preform Aether on BK but he blocked it. And BK tried to preform Eclipse but Ike blocked that.
Yep
Imagine if ike dual wielded the holy swords
That means his arms will break -.- it’s impossible to hold 2 claymores

蘆克思莉雅Lukexia He can easily hold Ragnell with one hand, so I do not think it is a problem
