As much as I hate RUclipsrs bringing politics into their content, seeing a mature adult like Ryan speak his mind about the current status of our country without joking is fascinating. Ryan's awesome.

Jeremy is spot on with his political commentary. Trump may be an idiot, but we need to actually criticize his problems; not things that are not problems.
It's considered a logical fallacy for a reason to attack someone's character in an argument for a reason. People who personally attack someone tend to lose focus on what they were trying to do. Staying focused is hard when you don't like or agree with a person, but sticking to logical points is how you successfully convey an idea.

If people weren't so trigger-happy with criticizing Trump ever since he announced his campaign, I truly believe he wouldn't be President right now. A lot of times actually ignoring something does a better job at stopping it. But nope, everyone's gotta yell out their opinion and make sure everyone knows that they're a better person than Trump.
I like the honesty, but seems like a bad way to go about liking someone. It's like someone who hit on who you were dating not hitting on one person. Then you proceed to like the person that was ignored because someone else didn't like them.
Sun Tzu's the enemy of my enemy is my friend applies a bit, but that only applies in hurting others. Choosing someone to help you based on how much it hurts others just seems a poor plan. Especially when you're not sure if they'll be limited to hurting others.

Jeremy, crabs aren't exactly just completely stubborn. If you put, up a line too fast they let go and if you get them too close too the surface they might let go because of the light. You can also just use traps where when you pull the line the walls come up

For ARK, definitely do a private server, all of the already established servers have major tribes who control the whole island, generally Chinese hackers, and also be wary of an extremely large difficulty decrease once you have flying dinosaurs, this is speaking from 450+ hours, it is amazingly fun though!

Trevor mentioned that he listens/watches The McElroy's. I also highly recommend their content. They are some funny people. And they're show on Seeso is reason enough to use that free month.
NGL, I was super happy when they were talking about the McElroy Bros stuff. Aside from achievement hunter, Adventure Zone, MBMBAM, and Monster Factory have kept me sane. Would highly recommend their stuff.

So this is my first time watching Off Topic. The title of it caught my eye. Can't believe Cassius got dissed near the end though (when they were talking about Robot Wars). Cassius was the OG robot flipper, absolutely badass. Then Chaos 2 came along and suddenly no-one remembers Cassius. Except people like me. Razer and Hypnodisc were my favourites though.
Relating back to ark, you can go into a sort of creative mode as the admin and you can place your own buildings and such. This would be handy so when everyone joins you have the same xp ect. If you're looking for goals in the game your best bet is to have your houses already there and focus on doing the caves and the bosses. This will give you hours of content alone; building your arsenal, making your armour, and taming your own animals. Taming your own animals is an entire process involving starting from the bottom of the food chain and working up. To tame the next animal it is recommended to have the appropriate kibble which is used by mixing farmed vegetables and eggs layed by dinosaurs. There are plenty of mods to mess with. The ones I suggest that you should definitely have are S+ (a building mod that allows you to pick structures back up and have more creativity in general) and corpse finder. In case you do die. Lastly taming a pteranadon early on to get around is the best thing you can do. Ps stay out of the swamp

Honestly, politics has at least improved from the days preceding the Civil War, when the Southern Democrat Representative Preston Brooks beat the Massachusetts Republican Senator Charles Sumner with a cane after he gave a speech condemning slavery in Kansas, beating him so badly he had to be sent to the hospital and developed debilitating pains for the rest of his life from head trauma. Us fans need to tone it down a bit going on about Michael and Lindsay's kid. Some of the comments I've been seeing are downright creepy and disturbing. Remember, we don't actually know these people. We are not factors in their lives. We simply enjoy videos they make. Maybe that's just me, maybe I *am* too uptight but... I ain't saying we shouldn't talk about their kid at all but I think a sense of boundaries is lacking with some comments...
On a different note, I'm with Ryan. Maybe I'm in the minority, again, but I *couldn't give a fuck* about watching you open a box. I *AM* interested in what you do with said stuff in the box and I would look forward to videos utilising said things. But this obsession with the unboxing is... what is that? Other than what kinda killed AHWU for me.
If they didn't film the unboxing, we wouldn't have gotten to see the sheer unadulterated joy on Geoff's face when they opened the blowdart gun, for example. Though I agree, we could definitely see LESS of it...maybe just edit it down to the highlights.

Exactly, I start feeling some concern for the emotional well-being of said people.
I get that a big part of the whole RUclipsr/community thing is that emotional connection, or the illusion of one. But it is just that, really, an illusion. I've seen some people, don't want to name and shame, talking about the Jones' kid like they'll actually have a degree of involvement in their life. People saying that if anyone ever breaks her heart they'll be there to comfort her and sort any arseholes out... That's fucked up! It's not just isolated to this situation, I've seen people acting similarly about Millie.
I get that some people really care about being part of the RT community and that's cool. Not criticising that, not in itself. But yeah, boundaries. What goes on in the lives of the hosts outside of videos should really be their business, they'll share what they want to share when they want to share it, and I feel that a small portion of the community loses sight of that at times.
I get where your coming from when you say this and some fans can be creepy and clingy and inappropriate. However, I think maybe calling it the "Friendship Simulator" is going a little too far. Maybe you didn't mean it in any harsh way, but it kind of belittles how people feel. Are we really friends with any of these people? No. No, we are not. And in reality, we don't really know them. But they have chosen to put a good part of their lives online to be viewed by people, a LOT of people, who have genuinely come to care and love these idiots. So when someone says they are crying, for example when Michael tweets an image of his daughter that's not bad or wrong. They are happy for this person whom they have come to care about. Should their be baundaries? Absolutely! If this world had taught us anything it is that Fans can be terrifying and creepy. But that's not everyone, and the majority of people just want to give a little tiny piece of themselves to help or comfort and express an emotion that will give back at least a fraction of whatever they feel these people have given to them.
I'm sorry for ranting at you, I just felt that someone should point this out. This "relationship" that we all have with the people we view nearly every single day or every once and a while is not one that is normal, since we don't really know them and they do not know us. But is IS REAL. We care about them and show it in our own way. So if you see someone stepping out of line, being a jerk, threatening, or doing anything harmful I would encourage everyone to speak up and point out what is not OK. But support those who just want to express that they care.
