KEF Sound Lab Presents Masters Of Sound - Daito Manabe

It takes a true artist to understand that creativity is layered. Daito Manabe is one such artist, known for pursuing his creative endeavours through a wide spectrum of mediums. From technical direction to programming, both in his solo projects and with creative collective Rhizomatiks, Daito’s works push the boundaries of what seems possible.
Daito is a multidisciplinary creator, and his talent is incomparable. By intersecting music, art, science and technology, his ambitious projects make for unforgettably immersive experiences. Over the past two decades of his career, this prolific collaborator has worked alongside iconic brands and artists, including Björk, Dolce & Gabbana, Rio 2016 Summer Olympics and KEF, on two occasions: first on Journey Through Sound, and then as our Listen Tokyo headliner.
In this episode of Masters of Sound, Daito talks us through his creative process. He believes that sharing this process with his audience adds another layer of meaning to his work. This, he says, is where he finds the most motivation. It’s also one of the reasons he so readily embraces the often yearslong span of his projects.
