Came to this video to get some context regarding some of this dialogue. I decided instead to try and find a save file within the game that was close enough to the Atris fight where I could just go through the conversation myself. My LS PC had just finished his conversation with her, and I listened to her last lines of dialogue, aka the moment at 38:50. This is the moment where she is asking the Sith holocrons about why the teachings that cause massive wounds/echoes in the force are allowed by the Sith to exist. The holocrons hiss in response, to which Atris says: "A beacon? For who?" To which there is no response. This, after understanding exposition later revealed about the true Sith empire that Revan left to face, is an UNBELIEVABLE moment. The subtlety, the cliff-hanger, the absolute audacity of this moment totally fucked me up. It hit literally so hard. The fact that the Sith holocrons could potentially know more information about the true Sith empire is fascinating, and couldn't have been presented in a better way. Another interpretation of this moment could just be that Obsidian didn't really have an answer to this question in 2004, so they might have just left this moment up to interpretation to keep the player guessing. Either way though, great writing and a great idea for the final piece of dialogue for one of the game's most interesting characters.
Atris says that the Mandalorians would have spared those who didn't fight, while conveniently ignoring Serroco where they DID kill those who didn't fight.

Not all of them, sadly. That would've been far easier than killing them anyway in our way into the refugee sector.
36:01 Was there plans to make Atris the alternate final fight?
silveray7 Yeah she and Kreia could switch. At one point she could even replace Kreia in the party.
I wonder what was so special with atton and Mira choices if atris became darth traya
Was hoping to hear carths words of we'd all be speaking mandolorian but i think i may have missed it
The most hated character in KOTOR history. Makes Palpatine look like an acolyte.
She’s just so damn self righteous!
Really good writing if you ask me 😁
Not gonna lie how much I didn't like her now I did at one point
If anyone had a twisted & warped view point its atris. All this jedi council truly cared about was blind obedience.
do you have a single fact to back that up?
