Hi, great video. How about safety? I booked a flight as it offered a good conenction flight to Peru. So I need to spend there 1 day. If I go to tourist area directly from airport (with airport taxi) and go to a safe hotel and only spend time in touristic area, will I be safe?

Yes, that's what we did. We stayed at a lovely Marriott (that had security out front), and spent most of our time on the Malecon near the ferris wheel, which is a popular tourist area that is quite safe. We recommend not having any expensive cameras or accessaries out in public. Enjoy!

I would like to visit Guayaquil, I just don’t know if it is safe for me to visit considering all the talk about crimes there.

That is something to consider. We stuck to the "touristy" areas and felt quite safe.
