Don't beat yourself up. it takes time to learn things like this,. And it's tough living in an ongoing project. I actually do know how to build stuff., ok that came out wrong, I have done this for a living. Now I'm converting a big truck to a camper. And you are still doing more than me. Sometimes shit just have to take time and crying about it helps. I haven't met that many people in my life doing what you set out to do. ;)
Well, Emma, one advice... Grinders are unidirectional, just unscrew the handle and srew it on the underside + rotate slightly the shield, so it will throw sparks away from you. Otherwise hold it sideways to avoid sparks. Oh, and pay attention where you're shooting sparks, since those will damage everything in the path. They will permanently mark paint, wood, ceramics, get embedded in glass and set combustibles to fire if the stream is strong. As they say "measure twice, cut once" it's true that some forethinking saves you a lot of frustration. I'm not saying you didn't think, just in general. You could put some led light strip on the trim board, to illuminate the ceiling with some "ambience".. 😏 but it's a considerable work to make it happen. Good work, Emma, keep it on till the finish line. Cheers.😇
I have wanted this life but still have not been able to get there, to be able to afford or to find a bus. Thats why I root for you. Because I would be doing what you would be doing living in the bus as I build. Thats why I love your videos.
One of the first things I learned about the grinder was 'NEVER be in the line of projection of debris, whether you're cutting stone, wood or metal'... The trick is to work with your body parallel to the cut, never aligned with it. You can't always, of course, but whenever you can, do it like this.
You've gone through that steep learning curve most of us builders goes through so amazingly. You have even perfected the ancient skill of self-criticism (in a healthy way). 👍🥳😀
This was a great video, I have several comments. I think I haven't commented in a while so hopefully it's okay! Your bus is going to be finished before mine at this rate. I also have a tiny skillet, I love it. Great for chorizo and melted cheese btw. About your heater: They draw something like 10 amps on startup. It's crazy. If you have a less than fully charged battery, or wires that are too small (the wires it comes with are too small), it won't always get enough power to turn on. This will show the 01 error code. Once it does turn on, it takes almost zero power. Use a larger wire, go directly to your battery (with an inline fuse) instead of the bus bar. They can be quirky but well worth the effort once you figure out the quirks. My couch is a completely different design, and I feel exactly the same about it as you feel about yours. Two years in and I am almost ready to do it over correctly. I am going to miss your videos if you're taking a break. But I will be here when you return.
Great video The cute drawer pulls are going to rattle while you're driving and the scary grinder can make bolts that are too long shorter But keep up the hard work, the important thing is you can say you did it yourself
My grandfather told me once while I was building something in school. "Is it perfect? Maybe not. Is it PERFECT for you? That's all that matters". You're doing a wonderful job Emma, even if you tried to set yourself a blaze. RIP License to grill Tee.
Great job! You made a lot of progress on the door area and trim. The couches, I mean, it's hard to beat the slide out double slat seat type couches. You get support for the middle and if they are sanded and waxed really well they usually function so well.
I love the fact that you are so brutally honest about the work you have done and in the end did not deliver what you expected. You’re by far my favorite builder Emma! See you next week and stay safe. 👋
There is a saying "cluttered house = cluttered mind". I am exactly the same Emma and those little jobs that all together seem daunting, are achievable when done one by one. They make such a difference to the overall look of the bus and give it a more "finished" feel. Great job girl!
If you don't like the pull out on the couches you could take out the pull out parts and make the front solid. You would then have extra storage under the seat. I have been watching you build your bus from the beginning. You come up with some great ideas. You are coming along nicely on your bus home.
I totally thought you were going to replace the double doors with a solid door, instead you just turned your double doors into a single door. Genius! I've been getting pretty tired of all the battery pack sponsorship videos BUT, I had never considered being able to plug in a power tool to something this small and just taking it along wherever you need the tool, that is a great idea. Nice job! As for the nuts as washers, my favorite saying is, if it's stupid and it works, it's not stupid.
Making it up as you go along is working for you. You’re learning and doing at a rapid pace. Always remember that caulk is a handyman’s best friend. You can smooth out a lot of the rough cabinetry with caulk. The bus looks great, and that means a lot. Your environment and surroundings affect your well being a great deal. Onward
I love how you take on a job you have no idea how you are going to complete and just get it done! The commentary and self doubt along the way is always funny. Keep up the good work and love the new haircut. PS. the handles on the bed pullouts are going to drive you nuts if they make as much noise as it looks like they are going to.
I adore your spirit, can’t wait to see you go on some adventures. Oh I would also add a latch to the overhead cabinet, especially the one over the driver seat
Always a learning curve with power tools. Very impressed with your projects. The bus door is most impressive to me. And you are just real about it all. No apologies or covering up imperfections. Its yours...if your happy..we're happy!
I think you will like the cabinet door knobs once the cabinets are painted, it will make a huge difference and they’ll stand out more! All the finishing touches do make a difference to your surroundings as you’re not only completing jobs, you can relax of an evening and not have to see any more trailing wires etc ❤
You have more confidence in yourself, I can see that in the beginning you were nervous about a lot of things. Till the next one have a blessed weekend 🥰🤗🥰🤗🥰🤗🙏
Wish I could help you with figuring out your heater issues. Especially with winter just around the corner. You'll need to consult someone who has experience with heating a bus. Nice seeing you in such a great mood, and that you're so happy and content with your recent accomplishments. 😃 You have an awesome singing voice Emma and love your new do.
Like the project check off list. I really wanted to see the couch bed pulled out and made up. Do you think the drawers themselves can handle the weight of a person? Breakfast looked so good!!!!! Just to have a working kitchen is such a blessing! It's all really Nice ❣️❣️❣️
I know it's been a while, and maybe everything has changed and this is totally moot, but... You could maybe flip those pullouts over and use them for storage of long flat stuff... Like fishing poles and brooms... I'm really enjoying your build. It's more realistic than watching people who are carpenters for a living or unlimited funds do a build. Plus I appreciate your sense of humor.
Coming along nicely Emma---you may want to trim those door bolts down with your cutting wheel grinder so as not to catch your clothes on them--nice job though!!!
I said this before, I think, you do have a good singing voice, so keep peppering the videos with a little Emma Sings action. As far as fine tuning your trim and stuff, and old carpenter told me years ago when I was a kid, a Good Can of paint, will cover a multitude of sins. Or something like that. lol. Looks pretty okay to me :) *Edit. 32:50. yes. Also magnetic door patch/lock for cabinet doors. It will hold your couch backs in place and no one will see them. ;)
It's looking great, Emma! It's starting to look very cozy and homey. Thinking back on your first videos, you seem to have come so far and learned so much. I'm just glad you haven't changed now that you're famous.
you got so much done, I am really glad that you got the trim sorted out and the wires hidden, the small doors look good and the door handles are different but nice, It is also good that your couch is now finished. but I hope you remembered some supports for when they are pulled out
Hey Emma you could use some cabinet door magnets and put them on the back of your couch to hold it up. You can find them at Walmart Lowes or Home Depot. Your travel bus is looking better and better every time you show a video your doing a really wonderful job keep it up. Emma Great Video 👍
Good effort emma, love the wee doors and your scribing is definitely improving. I'd put a hinge in the middle of your sofa backrest. It will stop the plywood twisting. 🏴❤️
You have completed a wondrous amount of work on so many areas. Congradulations the big B is looking wonderful. You change things as you move forward to better meet your needs. Look up that error code on the heater if you have not already. Stay safe happy and healthy from Henrico County Virginia
Every Diesel Heater follow up video I have watched seems to point out problems with them. They seem great on paper, but I think I will just go with a ready buddy in my trailer.
Since you won't be spending winter in your bus i would suggest you research "winterizing" it to prevent damages and save you possibly thousands of dollars. Best of luck 👍😃
Really, you told us you bought a plane ticket. You would be gone for the winter. One thing missing here, where ya going ? Good video, you got alot done.
What if you take the pull-out part of your couch and basically turn it upside down? Then you can have a big shallow drawer. Yeah, I know it's a little more complicated than that, but I'm sure you can do it easily.
Good job Emma !! 👏 Trimed it out nicely. Who knows, between now and later, those pull-out platforms may prove useful in the long run. Ping-pong 🏓 table? Just an idea.
« I’m a Genius »

Love it

You should sing more often in your videos. You have a beautiful voice. Bus is looking amazing. Keep the videos coming, love watching you.

That trimming has transformed that side of your bus...good job Emma 👍
Love to hear your singing while you work, and "Four Strong Winds" is a really nice choice this week. Bus is really shaping up. Keep up the good work!
Great video

The door turned out great.I burned the pocket off of my favorite hoody using a grinder.Congrats on conquering your fear of the grinder. They are handy.

"Nothing a little can't fix!" needs to be on a t-shirt!
I love the fact that you are so brutally honest about the work you have done and in the end did not deliver what you expected. You’re by far my favorite builder Emma! See you next week and stay safe. 👋
It really look so much nicer with those finishing touches Emma. Nice job.

I’m glad these homeless kids are finding a way to live on their own

Love your new look, the shorter hair suits you. Like how you tackle the small jobs and do it in a funny way but your way so it becomes your home.
Dang Emma, as real as the struggle is, you just keep at it…good for you!
Little by little the journey is travelled. The journey is the destination. Well done with trying and doing.
I love how you take on a job you have no idea how you are going to complete and just get it done! The commentary and self doubt along the way is always funny. Keep up the good work and love the new haircut. PS. the handles on the bed pullouts are going to drive you nuts if they make as much noise as it looks like they are going to.
You grinding in that motorcycle helmet is the funniest thing I’ve seen all day
I see you cute your hair, looks great, getting things done is a good feeling, Emma.
I love the grinding helmet! You just started a new fashion trend. Safety first!
Emma, have you considered turning the pull outs upside down and using them as drawer storage? Could be useful. 🤔
Your work is so amazing!
Such a home you have built!
I adore your spirit, can’t wait to see you go on some adventures. Oh I would also add a latch to the overhead cabinet, especially the one over the driver seat

Hi Emma
You can easily turn the pull out bed into a drawer for storage.
Hi Emma, this is Mark! I think you are so smart that you can do anything that you put your mind to do!! I live hanging out with you!!
You continue to impress Emma. Also that ecoflow power station will be mine one day! Love that!
You have more confidence in yourself, I can see that in the beginning you were nervous about a lot of things. Till the next one have a blessed weekend 🥰🤗🥰🤗🥰🤗🙏
You cut your hair!
👍😊Nice
Emma, the bus is looking good, that is all!!!!!

Nice seeing you in such a great mood, and that you're so happy and content with your recent accomplishments. 😃 You have an awesome singing voice Emma and love your new do.
there's RUclips videos on every error nowadays but the first thing to try is power-off/power-on the same as any other computer.
@@alanhat5252 It's worth a try. Sometimes the easiest fix is the power switch. 😀
Like the project check off list.
I really wanted to see the couch bed pulled out and made up. Do you think the drawers themselves can handle the weight of a person?
Breakfast looked so good!!!!! Just to have a working kitchen is such a blessing!
It's all really Nice ❣️❣️❣️
the drawers are plenty strong enough. I'm not so sure about the runners though, they look a bit flimsy in the video.
Forgot to mention. You have a great singing voice.
Wow, lots of work got done Emma, proud of you!

Thank goodness for that fire safety call big bro 😂
Love the door job and the trim good job
Where the wood slides on top of each other , put some butter on the wood , helps it slide better
You always find a reason, so you don't need to complete a project. So funny.
Emma, the updates are amazing. That’s load of work to cross off your list of things to do. Good for you.
thank you :)
Well I think you did a great job. Certainly better than I could do.
WoW! I still cannot believe you did this with no experience prior to it...... Unbelievable!! It looks so amazing, REALLY!
Coming along nicely Emma---you may want to trim those door bolts down with your cutting wheel grinder so as not to catch your clothes on them--nice job though!!!

You are killing it🥰🥰🥰 So proud of you!!!!!
thank you 😊
I love your channel. I can’t wait to see the trim covered above your windows 🤗
portable power stations are the Best investments.
Much respect Emma! Nice job!
Hey Emma you could use some cabinet door magnets and put them on the back of your couch to hold it up. You can find them at Walmart Lowes or Home Depot. Your travel bus is looking better and better every time you show a video your doing a really wonderful job keep it up. Emma Great Video 👍
You must enter AGT with your singing talent!
💚 Kudos Emma. From paint till now, WOW. Feels like Home NOW eh. Thank You for sharing your journey with us.
lots of electrical stuff going on. very much admired.
Good effort emma, love the wee doors and your scribing is definitely improving. I'd put a hinge in the middle of your sofa backrest. It will stop the plywood twisting. 🏴❤️
Bus looks so good. You are doing a great job
Great job Emma, be safe on your winter travels.
You did some of the cover up things I had thought it would be great to have done. Congratulations on your progress!!
if leaving the bus for th3e winter be sure to drain all your tanks, fresh and grey water......and most of all, enjoy your new adventure!
It’s another triumph! Good stuff.
You have completed a wondrous amount of work on so many areas. Congradulations the big B is looking wonderful. You change things as you move forward to better meet your needs. Look up that error code on the heater if you have not already. Stay safe happy and healthy from Henrico County Virginia

Looking good Emma...I remember when you started you were like how do I use these tools...now you're like a champ..no fear...:)
Every Diesel Heater follow up video I have watched seems to point out problems with them. They seem great on paper, but I think I will just go with a ready buddy in my trailer.
The motorcycle Helmet is a nice touch. Not sure why everyone doesn't do that. Would make me feel like Ultraman!
My husband uses his tent camping to power his C-Pap for three days.
I like your progress, looks nice, also you have a great singing voice.
My favorite bus girl is back with another great video of building a bus home. Love this girl ❤️ 💛⚘️💛❤️💛🙂⚘️💛 love you Emma
Looking great Emma 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Since you won't be spending winter in your bus i would suggest you research "winterizing" it to prevent damages and save you possibly thousands of dollars. Best of luck 👍😃
The drawer pulls aren’t designed to hold weight. You can use slats on both of your couches if you want to make them pull out beds.
You have came such a long way from when you started. It has been enjoyable watching you build this bus. Keep learning and trying. Thank you.
Really, you told us you bought a plane ticket. You would be gone for the winter. One thing missing here, where ya going ? Good video, you got alot done.
You have a beatiful singing voice😍
Beautiful talking voice also😘
I thought you did a really good job designing and making the couches/bed. I never thought of using a nut as a washer, pretty smart!
Very entertaining video, genius Awesome Emma😂Great job on the builds 👏
My sister has this power station in her van!
...when using the chop saw..always hold material with your left hand and chop with right...never pass your hands past the moving blade..
Chuck Cassady just uploaded a really good video yesterday where he talked about the diesel heaters.
Be proud of yourself. Well done n feels good, too!!
Bus is looking great!
Nice updates door and
Inside..You're doing great work..I'm traveling
too, in Colorado this week..looking for some snow....🙂
don't forget your Loto ticket....cheers
What if you take the pull-out part of your couch and basically turn it upside down? Then you can have a big shallow drawer.
Yeah, I know it's a little more complicated than that, but I'm sure you can do it easily.
It all looks really good to me, Emma. You are very handy and not fearful trying. See you!
You're doing absolutely great🏆💃🤗
I think your bus is looking really awesome I like the trim I think it would look nice if your new cupboard doors was stained like the ceiling
Good job Emma !! 👏 Trimed it out nicely. Who knows, between now and later, those pull-out platforms may prove useful in the long run. Ping-pong 🏓 table? Just an idea.
Looking good top video full of content keep up the good work and stay safe out there
Ur a very talented lady, and beautiful!
The doors r perfect
