I am from Turkmenistan, and welcome to our country :-) you are both wonderful people, I wish post soviet dictatorship will die off soon, so that we could open up country. young people are cool and modern.

Hey you from Turkmenistan? Please respond
I do not know the dynamics of your country, but be careful about "opening up" your country too much. Videos show (you would know better) a nice preservation of your culture. A lot of the cultures outside your country are going wrong. It is nice that women in your country maintain a modicum of decency and modesty. Food and produce (vegetables and fruit) seem to be bountiful.
nice try but they have social media blocked
Believe me, your leaders are the best, they do care for your people and nation,
out side other nation world leaders mostly are corrupt and exploits in all over world.
Not gonna lie, the white buildings, black asphalt, greenery and reddish-yellow desert sand look amazing. The white cars fit it very well and keep to the style. And the buildings themselves have both futuristic and cultural look mixed together... The whole city looks like it's a fictional city from a video game 😄
Funny you say "futuristic"... it's all old technology. Research Tartarian history and you will see a lot of similarities.
creepy
They banned all black cars
In a desert environment, having a white car makes a lot of sense.
Better than your country
Omg I was waiting for the second part! More videos, PLEASE!
Well much cleaner and more peaceful than other countries...it's a beautiful country to me
Thank you for another vlog here I swear this is my dream vacation
Great video! Was born in Ashgabat but live in Canada now. Thank you for sharing
I love Canada
Same here... Born and raised in Mary, Turkmenistan
Can you get weed in Turkmenistan
Im glad you enjoyed our country and city Ashgabat)
What is interesting to me is that you both exactly look like any Turkmen native :) especially Katherine.
I was thinking that the whole time
bro literally first thing i though and then i saw the last name Stein i was like nah
Ditto 🤣😂 Katherine wearing the local attire and she’ll fit right in.
What a great video. Love the brother sister combo. You both work well together.
Turkmenistan is like Nort Korea relaxed version 😂
😐
Except they said the police were tailing them most of the time
Yeah its like nokor version and worst of worst. wasted statues instead they used it for their people especially in agriculture
This is sad but true.
Maybe what the world needs is less choice. This country looked peaceful & educated. The kids were playing soccer, home cooked meals, tailored outfits- what's not to like? I didn't see drunkenness like other former Soviet countries. Bravo
👌👌👌
Finally someone said it
Catherine your videos are awesome. Very sad to know why your channel is not growing. I am sharing your videos in my groups. We have a traveller community
Wow..this place is too neat and organized
Thanks for the video. For reasons I can't quite explain I've always found that country weirdly fascinating ... or is it fascinatingly weird?
Same!
Turkmenistan seems like a good place to travel to
Very informative video. Better to live in a country with no Netflix than getting stabbed or shot on the street.
one of the most beautiful capital cities. Islamabad, Astana, Tashkent and Harare (at times)
Ashgabat is not highly populated actually. You have to visit other cities in Turkmenistan to feel the real vibe. People are very nice in Turkmenistan. Very good videos, thank you!
Hi 👋
Ở đó có rất nhiều món ngon 👍👍👍
Cảm ơn bạn , video rất hay và đẹp
Like you.
I from Vietnam 🇻🇳❤
The chemistry with your brother is excellent. You need to make lots more videos.
This is a really good video, not sure why it took 8 months, lol. I was talking to a guy there a few months ago and he was having huge difficulty sending me messages because they have hardly any bandwidth. He was telling me he knew it was intentional, and it makes education much more difficult because everything is too slow or blocked. I'm going to guess the car thing is because of all the white marble.
I am your new subscriber. respect from Bangladesh
I really enjoy these vlogs!
Hey hey miss, just discovered your channel. Love the approach and the way your and your brother’s inputs blend seamlessly.
Turkmenistan…
• I let out a “what the f..?” twice, once at the beluga caviar, once at “president bans every car that isn’t his favorite color”. 😂
• The marriage thing feels dark, because it’s so gorgeous and yet it’s essentially arranged by the government/religion/both because obviously most people here probably cannot get a fair browse of more of the 7 billion people who populate the planet. So, yay, super special and sacred and whatever….if we just pretend everyone absolutely found the best person for them for LIFE right down the street.
• I don’t believe that other videos of Turkmenistan visits really showed the little neighborhoods or markets much if at all, and the story which made up the coda was interesting, so again, loved the approach, that’s a lot of what I was looking for. I already knew the white marble presentation and everything that goes with it was pretty zany, but I needed to sink my teeth into something too and I was able to. 👍🏻 It looks like you definitely made the most of the visit!
Hey I just found your channel. Super dope. 😎
GREAT VIDEO!! SUBSCRIBED! love the information
This is an eye-opener to Turkmenistan. I will love to visit. How many can one get a tourist visa? 😊😊😊
You and your brother are very cute. I really like to see all yours vlogs. Lots love from France ♥
Thank you for visiting my homeland
Turkmen here. Between 6 am to 8 am and 3 pm to 6 pm its the rush hour. people there get to work, school and etc during those hours. Tourists get to travel after 9 am occasionally, which is the reason why they don't see turkmen people. And yes, people rather invite guests and relatives over than hang out. The malls after 6 pm is actually full with people.
I was watching your central Asia tour and it's beautiful. I just want to ask what tour company did you go?
Kath reminds me a lot about one of my old friend , sociable and cute at the same time, a sociable magnet. Unfortunate, we dont see each other a lot after my graduation. Keep working hard, i d love to see your vlog in the future.
It looks like the cleanest Country?
Dear I miss your videos. Love from India.
I do not know if its true
But there are rumours that this city was built by Tartaria
Good for them. It looks beautiful, organized, and unspoiled.
Your videos are great!
Cool vlog! Checked out your other videos, I wonder why specifically Central Asian countries? :)
Wow. It’s like heaven
It honestly does look amazing to me.
The whole country is a liminal space.
You don't need money to build things, you only need cooperation.
Beautiful city. The food looks amazing.
You travelled to a lot of countries. Where are all the videos? I want to see more.
Thanks for sharing my friend
New friend from Dubai UAE ✌ 💐 🇦🇪 🇦🇪

holy shit we went to HS together! i clicked this video and saw you and was like wait WHAT. btw ofc these videos are awesome
Feel so bad for these people. One of the richest nations in the world and the population is starving
O yalan seyleri kim söylüyor
I would think a lot of those buildings are office buildings aren't they? But there's no cars parked or anything by them. Are there people working in buildings like in other cities or are those buildings just empty?
Your brother is adorable.
Are there any people working in all those office buildings? There’s no traffic so it would seem hard to believe. Are they only edifices?
How does the country look outside Ashkabat.
Tartaria and mudflood written all over this …earthquake 1948…streets always been this way?
Thank you guys for more clues
Thank you for this awesome docu! It is fascinating for me...I understand the genetics of my own daughter better now..Her Dad is half Turkmen partly Jewish German..named Singer. It is so Jewish actually. What a wild mix my poor daughter. Imma mix too 😮poor kid
Great vloge Thanks for Sharing
Because we go out side at night. That's 1st reason. 2nd Bro Total population just 1 million what you expecting.
Allah Ho Akbar ☝️ YA Allah Pak Rahama 😓 show everyone's right way INsha'Allah ameen summameen from Pakistan 😭🤲❤️
They had a 1948 "re-set" but went forward instead of backward?
Tbh scenery of city looks like something like fantasy anime
Why there is 8 month gap between series?
Dograma kinda looks like mexican pozole, cheers !
So impressive..i dont know what's going on politically and I think I don't wamna ask.
The people and culure is amazing!!!! Im North African type of Person, grew up in Berlin Germany West...I Love the big mosques they have. Impressive

Hachan guluga gidersing?
your brother also looks like Turkmens. thats nice
Very beautiful 🥰🥰😍😍
When you was in Turkmenistan ?
😊😊😊😊
Turkmenistan looks like an awesome place to retire.
is that your brother?
I spent two years working there for a Saudi company with John Deere equipment. 1994 to 1996 not even close to what it is now
Katherine, how many times did people in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan ask you if you were of Central Asian decent?
Imagine if the USA spent its wealth on its infrastructure..instead of keeping it in banks for the few..
I am curious about their "meats". What kind of meat is it? Not likely pork but was it beef, chicken, horse, or camel?
Greetings from Venezuela
Do your parents also have the same tv announcer voice as you two?
would be cool if bts performed in the olympic stadium of turmenistan. but I don't think there are many Armys
Beautiful city
❤️❤️❤️❤️
great video - subscribed
Very nice good work
I wonder too, if there is anybody really living in these white palaces or are they only a kind of backdrop? Are the windows lighted in darkness?
yes, there is people, most of my relatives lives there
They don't it's a brutal dictatorship. The citizens leave far below the poverty line in the far reigns of the rural areas
wow
People do not living in the capital city marble apartment! This is just for show off !
Curious never saw any birds or nature - very weird
It's largely a desert. In some really dry, arid environments, there's not even bugs, unless they're underground hiding from the sun.
My daughters father is from Kazachstan and I remember being sick of Dill during pregnancy..Dill everywhere 😂
I want to go there but i dont know how to go there,im from indonesia
Thanks for sharing
I would love to see the streets with my own eyes looks so wet. I like the buildings but it's too much white. They need something to break it up. Some contrast
Tartaria. Free electric. An earthquake just happened to destroy 98% of all their buildings in the main city. Sure it was an earthquake? Sure it wasnt something akin to what happened in Hawaii
Turkmenistan once hosted asian games, that's ehy there's a stadium
Can you only go there as a part of a tour group?
As far as I know, you can only travel to Turkmenistan easily as part of a guided tour group! However, they have been completely closed off to travel since the pandemic.
@@KatherineStein thank you for the reply! That's good to know, but yeah it's understanble and I am not planning on traveling now either. Are the other Central Asian countries only accessible on a tour? Which tour operator do you recommend?
Hey come to Uganda too😢
No covid in turkmenistan?
Which usa was as clean. But no people no mess
Can u visit our country??
Ассалямалейкум! Вы туркмены???)
Where have you disappeared?
It's nicer there than in North Korea
