Everyday Id get off the bus and sit on the floor in front of the mirrors of my school theatre dressing room, prop up your videos on my ipod touch and do my makeup to them. I was a mentally unwell and depressed kid who didn’t have many friends. Makeup was a huge outlet for me to express myself when my social anxiety wouldn’t let me. Your comment about afterglow being a cozy corner like your old videos made me cry, it reminded me of the cozy corner I made for myself in my schools basement watching them. Can’t wait to watch this!

It took time and lots of help, but I'm doing better, I still have a long way to go. I realized in the last 12 months, that god, the universe, my sister, who ever it is, sending people my way on my journey to healing. Meeting strangers or reconnecting with old friends is a blessing and reminds me I'm not alone in this life. AND GOORL YES!!! Throughout my teenage years I would rewatch your draw my life video and all your short story films on RUclips, and hoped that one day I could be just like you. My auntie even took my sister and I to come and meet you in San Francisco when I was just 12 years old and it was the best day ever.
I am now 22 years old, just graduated from college in May, and am now starting my first full time job at an Investment Bank. I grew up with you and I feel like you came back at such a pivotal point of my life where I need guidance and wisdom for this next chapter.

I've been watching you since I was 8 watching you do bad romance and barbie tutorials, even one year we followed your Sailor Moon tutorial for my Halloween costume in grade 3. I'm so honored to watch you grow and evolve. You have and will always be my favorite beauty channel even if you don't post tutorials as often. I used to be such a loner kid. I found solace just being by myself. I used to watch Michelle’s videos as a way to disconnect from the real world and be in a safe place. Now as an adult I’m relearning how to cope with stress and anxiety.. I’m happy that I can relive that feeling of security & warmth. I’m genuinely excited for this podcast series. ❤
