For those who want the printed directions......this is exactly how she does the pattern. J hook. 3” strips of tulle tied together 1. MC. Ch3 and 11DC inside (12dc) Close MC. Join to top of ch3. 2. Ch 3. Dc in same stitch. 2DC in each stitch around (24dc). Join to top of ch3. 3. ch1. Sc in blo of each stitch around. (24sc) 4. In BLO *4sc, sc2tog * repeat around to first st. Do not join from here to end of pattern. 5. In blo, *2sc, sc2tog * repeat around to the first st. 6. In blo *sc2tog * around until there are 5 or 6 unworked stitches remaining. 7. Leave a 10” tail, Pull through, or know oto finish off, and thread needle on tail. 8. Sew through the tops of the remaining stitches to close up the hole. This takes about 4 or 5 stitches. On the last stitch you pull through, leave and loop and knot to finish off and secure. 9. Thread tail inside, and trim to finish.
Liz Smith : I just took a spool of tulle that was 6" wide and cut down the middle of the tulle, to make both pieces 3" wide. I don't know the exact length of the tulle left on the spool, because I had already used some of the tulle already for another project. I just ended up tying my only 2 pieces together.
LOVE IT!!! I really enjoyed watching the video and I think it is brilliant to have the instructions on the video as it plays. Wonderfully done, thank you so much
So fast, neat work! Love your video. Glad I found it because I love these things better than the scrub sponges in the store! They last long and don't stink as long as you rinse them, unlike the other sponges.
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!! I LOVE This!!! TY TY TY. I shut off the music because I cant listen and learn at the same time :) but it was nice :) . Thank you so very much!!!! Love it!! I made one, and I am gonna be making ALOT of these because everyone in my area LOVES them! TY TY TY TY TY TY TY! You did this perfect! I wish more tutorials were like this!
I thank you for making this video. I love your scrubbies compared to others I found here on youtube. I made a a few and made a bigger one too which turned out really well. thanks again!😊
Great tutorial. Soooo simple but my problem was that I missed the part where you said to cut in smaller strips....I used the width of 6inches......lol....it is a mighty big pot scrubber....but I still love it. Next time I'll cut into strips...haha. TFS
Ashley Rios Do you still make these? Are they good? I think I’d like to try.. also, how long were your strips cut? She said 3” wide but not how long they need to be. Thanks!!!
Loved your tutorial. I enjoyed the music and reading instructions better than listening to someone talk. If people don't like the music they can mute it. Good tutorial.
I had to do a bit of research on what tulle is (serious, never heard of it ). The wiki page mentions, under the "Also see' section, 'Organza'. I HAVE heard of organza so i will try that.
I had to do the same, very distracting, good music, but I have to agree with Lesley Hughes comment. Thank You for doing the video. I am going to give it a try.
Love this pattern! was wanting to enlarge it be about 5 or 6 inches though. I'm still a novice so I'm not sure how to do that. Could you make another video showing a larger version of these very pot scrubbers? Thanks in advance😀
Do you have your pattern printed somewhere? I love this scrubbie but when I get to the part of the video where you start the decreases do you slip stitch to close that row or just keep going?
Love your video.....agree with Tammy Etling..good for advanced crocheters. Those complaining about the music just mute it. All the instructions were plainly explained on video!! Thanks!!!
Just as a thought, wouldn't food bits accumulate inside the scrubby? I realize it can be thrown into the laundry, but what do you do in between launderings? I think a single layer would work better. JMO
Terry Stevens My sister uses scrubbies and says that she keeps hers in her dishwasher so she can reach for it easily and it gets washed often. She said her scrubbies last almost a year!
Just saw this as I use these scrubbies all the time - My sister gives me some every year and I run out way too fast. You said the tulle should be 3 inches wide - what about the length? Do you just buy at a fabric store? Do you ever use rolls that are in the bridal section of a craft store (i think they are about 6" wide)?
I saw another site which recommended buying a yard of the material, and cutting it into strips. I'm thinking we could buy a yard of the material, make the scrubby, and depending on how much is used, you may be able to make more than one scrubby from a yard of the fabric..... :)
Amy Grubb Yes, I have used the rolls at the craft stores, and I've also cut it off of bolts from fabric stores. I would just suggest rolling a nice size ball. You can definitely get one from one small roll at the craft stores. Once you make one you can see from there. Good luck!
A little fast for a new crocheter. Would like to hear, as well as read instructions. A lighter netting might be easier to watch. Still and all, a very helpful video...beats having only written instructions!
How much tulle are we supposed to put in strips? and how long? sorry new to making these, i started out with what i thought was enough and had to add to it..
Jean, I know on another video using netting instead of tulle, it was 2 yards but i made one with tulle and didnt even use that much, i believe it was about a yard. waiting to hear from her as well
Hi- It all depends on how you cut your strips. However you buy your tulle, you will need to lay it out and cut them. I usually buy my bulk in yards. As the video shows I cut it into strips and tie together, then wrap it in balls like yarn so I cannot accurately say how much tulle for one scrubbie. I would just suggest to try one. Then you will know how much tulle you need :)
I am making them now. If you are interested in the finished product for purchase, you may contact me on FB at M.A.'S. Crochet and Craft shop or via email at mascrochetshop@gmail.com Once I get a few made I will have a price point.
This video is very hard to follow. I don't consider myself beginner but I guess I am. I need all the transitions and everything. If you could make a new video for the whole thing and talk us through it that would be amazing
It's by Zac Brown Band and it's called "Jump Right In". If you like this one... there are plenty more! Look up "whatever it is", "Colder Weather", "Toes". Heck, there's too many to list! Just type in Zac Brown Band and you're sure to find a hit! My favorite band ever!!!!
I would love to watch this video. But no one cares to be blasted with music .. can you do one without it. If I turn phone down then I don't get calls .sigh.
It's right below here.......lol But here it is for you: J hook. 3” strips of tulle tied together 1. MC. Ch3 and 11DC inside (12dc) Close MC. Join to top of ch3. 2. Ch 3. On the last stitch you pull through, leave and loop and knot to finish off and secure. 9. Thread tail inside, and trim to finish. I will say that I just finished it and do not like the way it looks. I will be modifying it when I have time....I don't like the DC at one end and SC at the other. Looks off balance to me.
This is my favorite pattern for a scrubby. All my family loves them too, and requests them all the time 😊
great! Did love song & since I'm an advanced crocheter I didn't have to listen to basics over & over again, thanks thanks thanks!!! :)
For those who want the printed directions......this is exactly how she does the pattern.

Cora Leibowitz Thank you for typing the instructions out.: )
How many 3in. Tulle do you tie together?
Liz Smith : I just took a spool of tulle that was 6" wide and cut down the middle of the tulle, to make both pieces 3" wide. I don't know the exact length of the tulle left on the spool, because I had already used some of the tulle already for another project. I just ended up tying my only 2 pieces together.
Thank you. Enjoyed the video but this helps. :)
Is this tulle or nylon netting work better
LOVE IT!!! I really enjoyed watching the video and I think it is brilliant to have the instructions on the video as it plays. Wonderfully done, thank you so much
I agree! It's so easy to follow along with. This is my go to for a scrubby. 😊
Great pattern! Thanks for sharing. Also, great choice for music! Having an ice storm here and your music has lifted me.
Love the song, and the instructions and video are very very helpful! Just what I was looking for!
So fast, neat work! Love your video. Glad I found it because I love these things better than the scrub sponges in the store! They last long and don't stink as long as you rinse them, unlike the other sponges.
Cannot wait to try this tomorrow!!! Thank you for sharing!!!!!

thank you for showing us how to crochet these scrubbies...I LOVE your music.
Loved the song, loved the video! Thanks!!
VERY good tutorial and the music distracted me so I had to mute it...would be 100% with voice and no msic :)
Love the music!💖👍
this awesome my aunt use to make these and I been looking for a pattern and what she used thank you so mu h for this.😊
What is that music, i LOVED it! Lol! It made my mood much lighter...
Ohh, i found the music--"Jump Right In" By Zac Brown Band. :D
Noelle McKnight Zac Brown Band is amazing! Their harmonies are my favorite part of listening to them. :)
Jessica Miles Mine, too! lol
Well done choice of colors of background, tulle and hook to ease following crochet techniques.
You made it easy to follow along. Thank you.
Love this tutorial...I'm so gonna make a bunch of these. Love the music.
now22207 no music toy drown out the tutorial????? That doesn’t make sense.
This tutorial worked great for me on the first try! The hardest part was cutting the tulle lol.
Ashley Rios Do you still make these? Are they good? I think I’d like to try.. also, how long were your strips cut? She said 3” wide but not how long they need to be. Thanks!!!
FANTASTIC MUSIC SELECTION!
+Amanda Apker I had to watch on mute, because I thought it was awful. LOL
I am going to learn how to make scrubbies and dishcloths !!
Loved your tutorial. I enjoyed the music and reading instructions better than listening to someone talk. If people don't like the music they can mute it. Good tutorial.
thanks for making the tutorial I loved it!!

Nice! I love it!
The video would be better with no music and actual verbal tutorial. 🙄
Great tutorial and nice music too!
Thank you they're awesome!!!!!
Perfect!! Thank you!
Love this pattern! was wanting to enlarge it be about 5 or 6 inches though. I'm still a novice so I'm not sure how to do that. Could you make another video showing a larger version of these very pot scrubbers? Thanks in advance😀
You can add rounds.....google how to increase and decrease a crochet circle ....it should give you the guidelines.
You can try using a larger hook. Maybe 1 or 2 sizes larger and follow the pattern like normal.
Do you have your pattern printed somewhere? I love this scrubbie but when I get to the part of the video where you start the decreases do you slip stitch to close that row or just keep going?
How many yards of tulle for each scrubbie?
🙏. Thank you
Are there written instructions somewhere? Did I miss them? Like to try, but can't carry my computer with me
Love your video.....agree with Tammy Etling..good for advanced crocheters. Those complaining about the music just mute it. All the instructions were plainly explained on video!! Thanks!!!

Terry Stevens My sister uses scrubbies and says that she keeps hers in her dishwasher so she can reach for it easily and it gets washed often. She said her scrubbies last almost a year!
I have never had a problem with food stuck in my scrubbys. I hit the sink with them and if anything on or in scrubby it pops out.
Could you tell us how long you cut the strips? You never answered that question? Thank you. Great video.
Thank you!!!
Thks for sharing your ideas, great I have try one it cost me rs25 love from Mtius
if you dont like the music, mute it, geesh.....
do you have just the written instructions somewhere?
Just saw this as I use these scrubbies all the time - My sister gives me some every year and I run out way too fast.

do use the thin tulle or heavy? I am having a heck of time with thicker... any advise
mesquite slot player I have used both, the thick is definitely harder, but scrubs the pots much better!
nice work sister
A little fast for a new crocheter. Would like to hear, as well as read instructions. A lighter netting might be easier to watch. Still and all, a very helpful video...beats having only written instructions!
how much tull do u need for this project?
Is there a way to print directions for dish scrubbies? I need to take them on a trip, I only have a computer at home. Thanks
Sorry, I don't have any written instructions. Maybe you could write down the instructions from the video?
Do u have a written pattern for the dish scrubby?
Love your music
Easy on the music next video
How much tulle are we supposed to put in strips? and how long? sorry new to making these, i started out with what i thought was enough and had to add to it..
waiting to hear how much tulle to purchase....

How many rounds before I start decreasing???
What is the length of tulle i will need?
I wish you would go a little slower. This is very difficult for a beginner to follow.
Great! :-)
Can you wash te scrubbies in to the washingmachine?
Hi! I was mine in the dish washer, and I have had people say they throw theirs in the washing machine. Good luck!
I wash mine with my bleach loads in the washing machine.
can we get a written pattern somewhere?
Because of music I didn't see any of your video, hope it was good.
Michelle Wohlgemuth its called mute..or lowering ur volume...
where do you by the net
You can buy rolls of tulle at walmart in the craft section, or buy it by the yard in most craft stores that sell fabrics.
I do not know how to crochet I am looking to buy the finished product
I am making them now. If you are interested in the finished product for purchase, you may contact me on FB at M.A.'S. Crochet and Craft shop or via email at mascrochetshop@gmail.com Once I get a few made I will have a price point.
Good tutorial. No music please!
could do without the music, came for the pattern...
This video is very hard to follow. I don't consider myself beginner but I guess I am. I need all the transitions and everything. If you could make a new video for the whole thing and talk us through it that would be amazing
Point of this music is what? Very distracting and instructions move to fast for a beginner
What is the name of this song playing?

I would love to watch this video. But no one cares to be blasted with music .. can you do one without it.
If I turn phone down then I don't get calls .sigh.
Really need a written pattern.
I just posted the written pattern
Cora Leibowitz can you link it for me? I'm not sure where to go for it.
It's right below here.......lol But here it is for you:
J hook.
3” strips of tulle tied together
1. MC. Ch3 and 11DC inside (12dc) Close MC. Join to top of ch3.
2. Ch 3. Dc in same stitch. 2DC in each stitch around (24dc). Join to top of ch3.
3. ch1. Sc in blo of each stitch around. (24sc)
I will say that I just finished it and do not like the way it looks. I will be modifying it when I have time....I don't like the DC at one end and SC at the other. Looks off balance to me.
Cora Leibowitz thank you so much. When you do. Let me know. I'll mostly come back for that too.
I love the project. Thank you! .....I just suggest to eliminate the music, please....?
Would be nice to lose the music.
would love to watch but no on the music.
good choice of music
Dutch the using and tell us how you crochet this scrubbie. I do like what you have done, but do not like the music.
lol could you do another video much slower and with words not abbreviated? I don't know what sl or ch or dc or any of them mean!!
sl st - Slip Stitch, blo - Back Loops Only, ch(s) - Chain(s), sc - Single Crochet, sc2tog - Single Crochet 2 Together, st(s) - Stitch(es)...does that help?
Antoinette Malone Oh, dc - Double crochet, & dc2tog - Double Crochet 2 Together.
+Natalie m When you watch her video, you'll see HOW she does the sl, sc, dc, sc2tog, dc2tog :)
Such a shame you felt unable to speak to your viewers.
the music isn't needed at all
annoying music
Nice work music stinks sorry country makes me extremely depressed.😥
Country????
