@THEOLDTURTLEDEN this might seem off topic from the video but i’m curious as to if you’ve covered the comics from anything recent to the very first one back in the 80s, if you have i’d love to know if you’ll do more or not would be cool to see a channel do that even recommend where to find and buy the comics as well as i know i tend to get confused as to where to go how to start it
At the end, Cynthia has an unmutated Superfly in a container beside her. I’m guessing Baxter survived and she’s going to mutate them together to get the Baxter fly we all know.
I think that "Tales of the TMNT" will explore the turtles being accepted and integrating into "normal" human life. They will probably let the celebrity of the last film go to their heads, and not train as ninja superheroes. I think the sequel will see the Shredder attack the distracted heroes both psychologically and physically. In the hopes of ruining the turtles image and turning the humans against them.
The director, Jeff Rowe, has said that he wants to use The Dark Knight as a template for a sequel and that would make a perfect setup for a darker, more psychological and a terrifying portrayal of the franchise's most popular villain.
At this point, I think they should go with the reincarnation route for MM Splinter. Him being Hamato Yoshi's pet wouldn't make sense at this point, since he spent most of his life fearing/hating humans. Plus, seeing how this Splinter would handle dicovering that he was once the very thing he hated would be very interesting.
agreed. i think they just told us too much about his past and the turtles origins already to bring too much new stuff into the fold at this point without it feeling like a retcon. the reincarnation thing fixes this problem because splinter wouldn’t necessarily know about it either, stuff could just come to him naturally and he wouldn’t question why at first. I personally didn’t jive with this approach to his character where there’s no connections between him and the wider universe, like shredder or hamato yoshi, so i feel like this idea also addresses that personal gripe of mine. There’s also precedent for it being in an animated series version, with some imagery hinting at it in flashback segment of the Rise TMNT movie a couple years back. I think it could be neat to see an animated series with time on its hands properly tackle this angle that’s only really been done in full in the comics.
1. I hope you're right about there being more to Splinter's origin. I didn't really like whole we learned ninjitsu from internet videos bit, so having Splinter be the former pet of Hamato Yoshi would fix that a little in my eyes. Also, it adds a lot of intensity to the turtles' rivalry with the Shredder and makes it seem more personal. 2. I'm calling it now, Cynthiana Utrom is Krang. Her last name and the fact that she runs TCRI pretty much guarantee that she's an Utrom, but the fact that she's a villain, in league with the Shredder, and her appearance looking like a gender swapped version of Krang's robot body from the 1987 cartoon show all seem to point to her being Krang.
I would be interested to see if some of the mutants get manipulated by this universe's version of Shredder, or something thereabouts. Maybe in the spin-off series.
Cynthia definitely seems to be an Utrom, maybe she is actually Kraang? Can’t wait to see more of this continuity and my theory about Baxter is that he is now either a cyborg or sentient computer of some sort?
I loved the Shredder set up. I hope the two season are about Shredder building the Foot clan. And taking over New York that way. I’m hoping he has three top lieutenants. Jennika, Venus and Slash or trainees so Karai can be their handler. I’m hoping Jennika and Venus will be used as spies in the school. Also all three should become mutated turtles. Also put Casey Jones in it as a potential love interest for April and a rival to Leo. They should make it that Casey gets along with Raph but bothers Leo.
I highly believe that Tales Of The TMNT will either be a remake or a follow-up to the 1987 series because modern audiences may not know this, but Mutant Mayhem features the original turtles, original Splinter, original Leatherhead (but as a girl?), original Bebop, original Rocksteady, Baxter (short screen time), and most importantly, original SHREDDER. The original April is nowhere to be seen and I'm questioning: 'What happened to her?' We have not seen another white April since 2012.
I’m excited to see how the continuations go! I’m curious to see how they’ll handle originally baddies like Bebop & Rocksteady being good guys here and the school lives of the Turtles with April. My wild guessed; Bebop & Rocksteady will get themselves into occasional trouble via unintentionally joining a gang of baddies and the Turtles will befriend some more human characters in and out of school, like Casey, Irma & Vern. I’m also curious to see how they’ll handle Leo’s feelings for April. I think it can work if written write, as long as it’s done better than the one with her & Donnie in the 2012 show. I feel like the 2012 show really soured the fandom with the idea of the Turtles getting romantic feelings for human characters their age and that needs to be remedied. My dumb theory on how they’ll handle Baxter; he’d be really dead, but TCRI will bring him back to life Frankenstein style, akin to what happened to him in the early 2000s show.
My theory for why Shredder could be in the second movie is because maybe Shredder is still the master of the Foot clan, but TCRI assigned him to kill the turtles, despite Shredder not knowing anything about them. It would make sense, since Splinter was (supposedly) a normal rat in New York before he was mutated. And if he was Hamato Yoshi or his pet rat, it would be a sort of coincidence that he found him. Shredder was just recruited by Cynthia to take out (or kill) the turtles and Splinter. Instead of him being just some random dude who happens to know ninjitsu. He's still the master of the Foot, and maybe he'll even have Foot soldiers attacking the turtles.
I think Mutant Mayhem’s world has a lot of potential in it. The movie itself was a good taste of what the team could do with the new world, I just hope they don’t squander that potential. Explore topics the series has yet to cover, introduce new allies for the turtles to team up with, there’s so much they could do, I just really hope they consider all the possibilities.
Well, if I’m being honest, I’m kind of hoping that bebop and rocksteady stay friends with the turtles like it was really cool to see the other mutants live with the turtles at the end of the movie like they’re one big, happy family and honestly I was going to sweet so I’m kind of hoping they stick with that
I like the concept of a heroic take on Bebop and Rocksteady. I think we were robbed of a Mighty Mutanimals spinoff of the 2012 show. That universe's Bebop and Rocksteady realizing how bad they had it as villains after the "Wanted Bebop and Rocksteady" special turned to heroism at the end, and I WISH we saw more of that.
I'm a lifelong TMNT fan, and overall, I thought the movie was fantastic. But the high school ending feels "out of place" to me for a Ninja Turtles franchise. It worked as a payoff for the story they told in the film, but if feels like it's going to be inevitably reversed whenever Krang / Shredder attack - and they are forced back into hiding.
Yeah but there it was treated more as a precocious crush, not something that had a big more of a chance of happening like in recent iterations since April is closer in age to them.
@@batmenace15 Sorry but I don’t see a difference in the relationship. A turtle still has a crush on April. I never saw the possible of them actually dating even in the newer iterations. Even if they did I don’t think it would ruin the characters in anyway, it would just be a thing that happened.
Having the Turtles going to school 🚸 is a common fan-fiction idea 💡, as far back as the 2003 series, or even further. It would be interesting to see how they deal with school life with humans, and possibly other mutants.
Honestly I’m a little on the fence about the crush thing I just don’t want it to end up being cringey and creepy but so far it’s really interesting new aspect to Leo’s character and gives him a teenage edge
i think in the sequel will get the Hamato Yoshi, Tang Shen and Oroku Saki story part & superfly & slinter an real at to that both farthers we killed by evil & superfly gets redeem.
What I’m wondering, is how much development the Turtles will actually have in the series.. the reality is that there is going to be a lot of people who won’t necessarily watch the show and therefore the turtles’ can’t change too much from where we left them at the end of the movie.. otherwise it will be too confusing for the people that only watched the movie before the sequel… I guess they could start the sequel with a brief recap of what happened between movies, but that still limits the characters progression in the show.
I'm really excited. After Rise I'm more open minded to changes and I really loved the movie and the ending. I just hope it will last longer and we won't lose it so soon like we lost Rise.
Someone made an observation that because the Turtles split apart in Tales, that they can develop their personalities more. Donnie was acting more like Mikey, where I do think Mikey should have started the bacon egg and cheese bit. I'm hoping in some way they revive Baxter Stockmann and maybe expand on his character, so we can see this universe's mousers since in that weird deliberately messy art style they'd look awesome. Splinter seemed incredibly vague if he knew any martial arts from Yoshi, but we'll see if they expand on that story. I'm hoping Shredder has a part in killing Yoshi...maybe the reason why Cynthia knows is because he's an utrom? Maybe because I've been watching 2003 that that's the case? We'll see. I don't have much faith in them making Bebop and Rocksteady villains because they threw that idea out by reducing all those guys to being Superfly's cronies that are actually lost kids.
I think that as poorly pulled off as it was, April and Donnie was the best April x Turtle combination they could get. Those two have had a consistent and strong bond within all versions of the ninja turtles and a lot of genuine chemistry. Of course the age difference is still very concerning though.
What if they bring back the 2003 idea of shredder being a utrom or they get framed for something and are back in the shadows like in previous versions or maybe splinter is Hamato Yoshi and he just made up the story about being a rat to keep the turtles safe and bring back the whole Kari is there sister concept or some how make them more older teens like the 2003 and 2012 turtles like come on now don’t get me wrong I loved the movie (even tho the whole milking thing was weird)but I think that they need to go back to the peak of the turtles 2003-2012 their are so many ideas I have for this so sorry that this is so fugeing long 😅
When I think about the Turtles being accepted, I don't have a big problem. We've had the Turtles do things like go into space, alternate dimensions, or go into the future, or heck, into the past, where they have gushed about finally being able to walk around in the open. When they start though, I'm thinking they're expecting to have a forever normal life. Except they won't be able to because that would be boring.
They need to drop the Leo crush in April. It was gross when they did it with Donatello and it's gross now. It's not like they were once human. They've always been turtles. There is no need for this.
Shredder pulling the strings in the background of the series leading up to their first battle with him in the movie. Imagine if they just adapted the 1st fight from the Mirage comics. Let's face it, though. Nickelodeon would never allow that unless they want a lynch mob of parents showing up at Paramount.
Ever since I left the theater, having knowledge that there was both a sequel movie and an episodic continuation as well, I wondered how this is all going to play out. Nickelodeon has done 2 theatrical movie "pilots" before a cartoon series, Jimmy Neutron and Back at the Barnyard, but neither of them had a theatrical sequel film. The question is, how much of the TV show is going to be canon to the movie and what, if any, co-ordination between the two will there be. Shredder, no doubt, is going to be the second film's big villain, so they're probably going to save any major reveal for the film. But what's the show's commitment to episodic vs serialization? I'm sure it can build up its own storyline and mythos to build up the next movie without needing to be essential viewing before the second film. I just want to see how connected the show and movie can be.
it would be interesting to see as i am curious as well, i didn’t watch the film in theaters but had paramount+ already so i took the time to watch it, it would be cool if the tv show take the remaining plot threads at the end of the movie and started season 1, maybe a small time skip with a tiny montage of the turtles antics at school during the day and a bit of crime fighting at night kinda like a spider man or batman angle if that makes sense or something similar and each episode could do world building and a little bit of story telling with hints towards the future and season 2 focus on the overarching story with shredder and the foot clang/TCRI setting up the 2nd movie but this is all just from what i think nothing concrete
@@andrewpittsley3173 I know it's not going to work out this way, but it would be great to have one season, the sequel, then the second season so each film gets a follow up story line.
@@mightyfilm would be cool if they did that way too be something different from how movies and tv shows do things when sharing a story kinda like how anime does it, but who knows where the story will go from here
I have a theory: The shredder is actually an utrom like in the 2004 series. Reason: Because tcri called shredder to take down the turtles. Shredder- to me- doesn’t seem like the person that would be teaming with a company such as tcri. I think two of the only reasons why he excepted the call from tcri is either, one: shredder knows that splinter is the pet of Yoshi. Or two: he himself is a utrom bounty hunter that works for tcri. Thought?
would be cool to see that plot point again or maybe shredder being called in is kinda more similar to the relationship he had like in the 80/90s cartoon though like i said this would also be cool to see
Actually, the other mutant not bebop and rocksteady form there own team in the comics so that might be interesting them doing their own thing and I think the turtles bringing home other kids for school projects might be interesting and they get in trouble might make an interesting story just my opinion .
If I was to write the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, mutant mayhem, I would bring in Casey Jones, and kind of make my bit of a jerk. I would have him hit on April and just being mean to the turtles overall but they wouldn’t know that Casey is actually a vigilante. I would maybe after the movie show him as just fragile kid like Raph who is just mean but under that is just someone who just want to talk to someone.
Just my opinions about Teenager Mutants Ninjas Turtles haves doubts about the concepts of series, I grew up watching original and movies, this for new generations for children in level.
I'm fine with the recent reports of the sequel being focused on the villains. Although Jeff made the absolutely ridiculous comparison of Shredder being as good a villain as Joker, the TMNT Rogues Gallery needs the focus! They are one of the most overrated RGs out there, largely because they lack character development, depth, and compelling motivations. I admit, if the turtles are limited--if used at all--it might be tough to watch since they really are the engine that makes this franchise go, but this may be the most beneficial gamble ever made if the filmmakers play their cards right!
Here's a theory: April O'hero had pet turtles that she lost and they ended up in the sewers! I came up with that all by myself and didn't steal the idea.
I know me too, I hope they keep and not make it like a one time thing. Hopefully in the series or sequel they’ll introduce Casey Jones and he meets April and having them to explore that relationship between April and Casey like they always had and to see Leo getting jealous of their quality time together I would freaking love this to happen 😂🤩
i liked it too as it helps us the audience relate to him more and has us remember that moment in time when we had our first crushes on someone. i do wanna see what they do if they introduced karai (hopefully i spelled her name right) as her and Leo always had that type of relationship more but who knows
The turtles going "public" is a mistake and so the shredder could be used to make them seem like villains and have the people turn their backs towards them, thus causing them to return to the shadows, if you will. I don't like all this acceptance crap and interspecies romantic relationship garbage. The world is messed up as it it, don't give kids more weird ideas
Personally, I don't care to see any continuation of what this atrocious film set up, especially when factoring in the terrible ending. It's best for the property if this remains a one-and-done. Don't let Seth Rogen or anyone associated with him near this franchise again, please.
Existential angst is what makes the turtles (and even some of their allies) so special. Donatello gets a bit of it in One and Two; Raphael discusses it with himself in the Archie series; Casey, of all characters, gets in on the fun in Four, and so on. How do you get from Seven to anything that remotely resembles, I dunno, Same As it Never Was, or The Last Ronin? Action and screwball comedy, without any heart, is not this franchise's best tone.
@@williamseneyjr.6277 this continuity isn’t gonna stop because you don’t like creativity. I don’t even get why you’re here🤦♀️ please go away buzzkill😬
Movie is 🗑️. They literally took out all the Japanese origin/ story line. Splinter was formally Hamato Yoshi, a master of ninjitsu. Now he's just a mutanted rat voiced by Jackie Chan.. Chinese. Learned from karate videos. Movie is 💩. Why they made Mikey a runt made no sense at all. Garbage 👎👎
although everyone has their own a opinion i thought the film was good and a fun time, in terms of the origin which tends to get changed around a lot, for example in the comic from the 80s origin splinter was in fact a rat whom learned ninjutsu from his cage other times he is human like in the 80/90s or the 2012 cartoon, as for why it’s a problem that Jackie chan voiced him i see none, and as for mikey i don’t see an issue as each turtle is unique, plus a different way to look at this film is that it’s own universe within the TMNT mythos/universe if that makes any sense

@@mightyfilm would be cool if they did that way too be something different from how movies and tv shows do things when sharing a story kinda like how anime does it, but who knows where the story will go from
here
I have a theory:
The shredder is actually an utrom like in the 2004 series.
Reason:
Because tcri called shredder to take down the turtles.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem Is Getting a Sequel
I think April and Irma eventually hookup at some point!
Yeah they should she was awesome in the 87 Show
5:25 The mutants will not go against the turtles.
Cause TCR will create their Mutants (possibly tokka and rahzar).
Wat wud dr umar say about black april with a mutant.
What about casey
Baxter has to be alive he needs to turn into a massive mutant fly !
Mutant mayhem is a good game too
I Would Say Probably Thinking Leo And April Going Out A Date
😏
Enough with a turtle has a crush on April thing they've been doing. It's gross.
A slice of pizza cost 3.50 where i live
Who else really liked the new movie?!!
I do
MEE! This movie got me into TMNT :)
@@StarsMadeOfMangoesthat’s good man glad there’s some new tmnt fans 👍🏻
Hell yeah I loved it
Not me lol
I hate em going school
Leo's cute crush on April was my favorite part of the movie.
It's gross
The turtles going "public" is a mistake and so the shredder could be used to make them seem like villains and have the people turn their backs towards them, thus causing them to return to the shadows, if you will. I don't like all this acceptance crap and interspecies romantic relationship garbage. The world is messed up as it it, don't give kids more weird ideas
Pretty sure they can handle it. Maybe sort out your own issues though.
Mutant Mayhem turned me off fast. If this is the future of TMNT, I am out. This will be the first product film I will not purchase.
Why'd you click on the video then? You knew you didn't like the movie, so why watch a video about it?
@@BlurroBlue To be informed.
@@williamseneyjr.6277 this continuity isn’t gonna stop because you don’t like creativity. I don’t even get why you’re here🤦♀️ please go away buzzkill😬
@@ToABrighterFutureum what are you talking about?😅
The Seth rogan turtles is so childish and annoying.
Hate the new direction this franchise is going 😢
Change Donatello Voice actor his voice was annoying
I like his voice and and all the others
@@andrewpittsley3173 ninja are Japanese u dmb 💩.
