    Owing to a false copyright claim by Discovery, I had to change the video for this evening. This also upset the schedule for other days. Regretfully these false copyright claims are not infrequent.

    Another interesting dive into the numerous, yet little known, cogs in the Holocaust Wheel. Thank you.

    Excellent video! Thank you for the time and effort you put in to keep people informed about these historical events and the mass murderers of the SS, who must never be forgotten. Many like Ernst Lerch were able to live out their lives to old age in West Germany and Austria, with comfortable pensions and in complete obscurity . They totally escaped the harsh justice that they deserved for their crimes. This is a black stain on Germany and Austria that can never be erased.

      I agree, but there is a danger of assuming that only Germans can commit mass murder. Could we have some investigation of individuals responsible for other acts of genocide, including some going on as we speak. By this I refer to Gaza, but there are other examples. You will not bring back the victims of the Nazi Holocaust, but you may help save the lives of those suffering now, today.

      My pleasure Jeff. It took ages to do and I had to change significant parts of it and then I forgot something I had about the prison in Wolfsberg .... I will have to go back there!

    It would be interesting to know more about Simon Wiesenthal. Some have questioned his past during the war.

    There's also a photograph of Lerch, standing with Globocnic and Max Chikotzky (?) near the Sobibor railway station, possibly prior to operation

    Very meticulous research and excellent narration. You are so right pointing out how Austria managed to slither away from any accountability for their behaviour. I suspect that their non-aligned status in postwar Europe has a lot to do with that. And a mistaken perception by naive British and Americans that Austrians were somehow 'victims' of Nazi Germany.

    Regarding Soviet crimes, watch a 1992 film called 'The Chekist',and ,while watching, expand the events by several thousand, over decades, and you may get a small idea of the darknesss of the Cheka

    Very impressive with such level of detail, great work! Would you know of any computer generated pictues of what treblinka death camp looked like, from the arrival platform with the 20 cars unloaded, to the road to heaven? Seems there are no pictures anywhere of the actual death camp itself!

      Mike, yes, they have a really good mock up at the Treblinka museum, indeed it was quite frightening to see. I did not like to ask to use it as they were so nice to me there and put them in a position where they might have to refuse. But I will ask.

      @@HistoryonRUclips I understand....if it works, that would be great but of course, don't push it. Maybe someday someone will come up with an accurate pictorial presentation of what it looked like other than the same over used photos of the excavators, stangl talking with franz on the porch of the building, schmidt standing on the steps of his truck etc....

    Adolf Eichmann also stated in his unpublished recordings made by willem Sassons that himmler ordered him to go to the Totes Gebirge mountains to prepare a redoudt.

    Great video and great research.
    But, you sounded surprised at Austria's attitude towards Nazi war criminals. The list of Austrian Nazis starts with Hitler and is very long. I believe that the single greatest reception ever given to Hitler was his arrival in Vienna in 1938. I don't buy the "victim" story of Austria for one second.

      After the breakup of the Austro Hungarian empire at the end if WWI, the country of Austria wanted to join Germany, but was prevented by the allies. So why wouldn’t they cheer.

    • @jim7544
      @jim7544 5 дней назад

      I don't argue with that at all. My point was Autrians were - and are? - as German as Bavarians and others who call themselves German. There was a myth they were victims. I'm not surprised that they don't want to dig too deeply into past problems.

    Very exciting and well made video I hope that one day all the investigation files of the British and Austrians will be published that are still slumbering in depots, where unfortunately the files of the British about the alleged suicide of Himmler are still under lock and key until 2045.But don't you confuse something with this one photo in the Video this one person who died in 2015 Dr. Ernst Lerch born 28.11.1931 died 17.06.2015 was certainly not this Ernst Lerch.
