Nice video. I have a 2009 Supercab (the one with the smaller back seat and doors) and have been doing upgrades to it as well. One thing to be aware of, even though the 2009-14 are all of the same "generation", it seems that 2009-10 are different than the remaining years. For instance, the trailer brake controller has the screen on it instead of being integrated into the screen between the gauges. The remote start is also not in these earlier models, so an aftermarket kit is needed. For me it was $150 and a bit of splicing of six wires and now three lock commands on the remote start the truck. So anyone watching this video should be aware of these differences. Also your chapters are missing for the center console and is included in the tailgate camera section.
Great video! I have the exact same headlights and husky floor mat as you do. Also, I had a shop installed a new head unit, backup camera, and stereo. I had installed a Katzkin Leather that's heated and ventilated. Great truck man!
Many thanks for watching and commenting! I just cannot bring myself to buying a new truck considering the cost. Seems like most of us have some of the same replacement\upgrade path. I most likely might not have replaced the headlight assemblies, if the wife didn’t force that decision on me 😆. I need to look into those heated and vented Katzkin Leather! I’m sure your truck looks better than mine 👍
GREAT Information, I own the exact same year and American equivelent of your truck. Great move on the tires and wheels. Working on the lighting now as I took a break. My radio is getting balky doing old radio things, so I'll consider what you have done. Floor mats are a must. Thanks again!
@@davidhongc21 Glad you got some good information out of it! We have had this truck for about 7 years. Did most of the upgrades over the last 2 years. Mostly because of what I started in the video. Just wanted to freshen it up a bit, while also giving it a mild personal touch. Happy upgrades! Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
This was my list for years to do! I would suggest this upgrade to anyone! Not only does it make the interior look complete. The center armrest is perfectly even with the door armrest. Make the ride so much more enjoyable! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have a 2012 platinum. I got the weather tech full vehicle sunshades. It’s about $150 and it’s worth every penny. It comes with a shade for every single window including the back glass
22:17 looked into one for my truck. Infiniti should be embarrassed to have their logo on it. Takes 2 extra modules to interface an aftermarket Joying unit to the wheel & Amp. Plus antenna adapter. I have a replacement 2DIN trim plate, but haven't pulled the trigger on a head unit yet.
This was a solid upgrade for the stock stereo. It was so simple to install, and retained the steering wheel controls. No splicing, or anything, everything was there, plug and play.
Cars and Trucks have gotten too expensive. Then some of these newer vehicles have technology that you as a consumer might not be able to repair. Don't get me wrong, I love tech and want more of it. However, I would like to be able to repair eplace as a customer.
I'm pretty sure that your floor mats don't go all the way under the seats because you ordered ones for a supercap (extended cab) model and put them in your supercrew cab
You know, I didn’t even think about that! I believe you are correct. The rear seats are not used as much, so the carpeting underneath the seats still looks great.
@@TripodsGarage I’m glad I could help in some way. Thank you much for this video, I’m heavily considering getting the same infotainment and backup camera setup that you showed. Have a nice rest of your day
That clock flashing is a known issue. I didn’t see it worthy of a repair or replacement of the same stock one. I believe your radio has different faceplate, there are is a similar one that has your faceplate design. Thanks for watching and the compliment 👍
this is beond amazing !!!!!!. Do you happen to have a video for the column to floor replacement?. I'm gonna be using a lokar part for that transimisson, but still a lot to do, there for any help is priceless !!!!!!!
@@TripodsGarage Yes, how do I know? I have 6 sets on my dakota, broke a key from a universal set trying to remove them. I Still gotta figure out what ones to replace them with.
CHEAP AS IT GETS. The Ford Corporate finally admitted to being Chrome-Clad they called it. In other words Chrome glued over iron! Well if you in an area to where they put a lot of salt, youre going to see in less that two years the iron will no longer hold on the bead and your constantly having to put air in your tires. Got aluminum new wheels and since mine was one of the last years where they used steel there are only a few minor rust spots. The aluminum Fords are like cheap what they say is aircraft grade aluminum, thats nothing but bull crap their move was for weight not structural.
Yeah, those chrome cladded rims are an absolute joke! I had no idea that manufacturers were even doing this. If I knew that this truck was equipped with these BS rims I would have passed on the purchase.
Don't think my Galaxy S22 Ultra will fit where you put your wireless charger my 2014 Platinum is a Platinum, not going to change it to a Raphtor, like your truck is not.
Flat tire driving up to a house we were car wash company I worked for two years ago. Not spare tire, could not get nuts off… Had to call roadside, the guy is mine coward impact gun drill… He broke off his drill bit…… Twice I'm driving around for 11 years without my skin. I need to stop being lazy and throw that in the back of my truck five minutes under the truck tire holder is gonna bang down fora while
I just bought my first truck, an ‘09 XLT. Looking forward to adding some of these upgrades. Fantastic video!
Thanks for watching the video! Congrats on your new truck! I hope the video helps out 👍
Another great Monopods Garage Video. I mean Tripod, Tripods Garage....
Many thanks bud!
Great video! I have a 2013 F150 as my daily driver and some of these upgrades will come in handy!
Yeah, given the price of these vehicles, making minor upgrades can go a long way!

I was weak on floor mats great video
Is there a way to wire the drl tubes on the headlights where they come on without any of the other bulbs turning on ?
Great upgrates on your truck!
Thanks! With the price of trucks, I figured I would just share what I have done to ours.
I like it, looks great.
the center console swap is NICE! ive been wanting to do something like this with my ‘14 xl

8:40 always a good upgrade. Have WT mats in both our vehicles.
Yep! Washable mats are a must in a truck! One of my first purchases.
great video my friend. You and I would get along great

Personally I much prefer the column shifter and bench seat.

My wife got me the supercrew mats for my ‘09 supercab as a Xmas gift. They were too big. She quickly replaced them and the new ones fit like a glove.
Hey! I have a 2014 F150 5.0 XLT and my radio's clock is flashing. Will that radio upgrade you showed totally fix that? Awesome Video btw!!

@@CarsandClippings- The radio came back a couple times. Then finally fully failed with the blinking clock. I couldn’t even set the time.

Good question! Maybe the remote start and the wheels. I’m sure there are headlight assemblies for them.
