    I feel like the sky rays just have more reliable damage into the field than hammerheads when so many armies have 4++ on their tanks and whatnot, is your meta just saturated with Marines?

      The Skyray is good, my issue is with damage output. The d6+1 can be swingy at times and -3 Ap into cover and possibly AOC makes tanks even without invuls save like they have one...The Hammerhead also gets the two seekers so i can do a good impression of the skyray for a turn...
      As for my local meta, I would not say its crawling with marines. I see alot of CSM, Demons, Tsons, and alot of Tau suprisingly enough. I have also played against alot of black templar lately as well.

    This list is quite similar to the one I'm building! Question for you - are you considering running each piranha separately? Or as a group?
    Pros for group: can guide with one unit, can use a single strategem on the whole unit.
    Pros for separate: can run around doing secondaries independently, only takes losing 1 to use pinpoint counter offensive, can each guide if need be
    Thoughts?

      I always run them separately. Double the FTGG observations , double the pin points and just more flexibility for secondary play. Not to mention the battleshock test on objective holders is slept on since AOC is mostly going to be used on the unit holding the marines objectives.

    Interesting you like the Fireknife? In my Retaliation list they haven’t really signed yet so far.

      Yeah In Mont'ka against the right targets they can be really good. The leathals help play up the S7 on the missles and the two damage is great against Green Tide feel no pain they get from the painboys. Not to mention tageting a full unit is a full reroll to hit so you can even fish for the 6's. Mont'ka also has a strat to increase the AP and make these good even into marines.

    What would you pull to pivot this to retaliation cadre? The hammerheads and piranhas? And sub in what?

      Will be putting out a Retalitation Cadre Video Soon.

    Great discussion, you got a sub from me.
    Do you ever find yourself light on observers ? Everything seems to look like they want to be guided apart from the 2 stealth suits with the 2 devilfish and 2 piranhas as backup observers.
    How often did you find it useful to trigger the stratagem to give full rerolls against a unit that kills a tau unit ? I was planning on using missilesides rather than fireknifes with commander (90 points more expensive) so triggering the stratagem could give the missilesides full rerolls to hit and to wound on the 30 shots from their guns (with just reroll to hit on the missile drones 12 shots).

      I have found the lack of observation targets an issue from time to time. Technically in this list if you count the breaches as observers in a pinch there are more observers then guided units.
      The pin point counter point offensive strat is great and with piranhas is easy to trigger two times. Was great against big bricks of ork boys.

      @@Woundedon6s I really like pathfinders to help the observation issue. Being able to observe twice is great and if they aren't required for that their 32 shots (including 8 for recon and 2 gun drones) for 90 points isn't bad.
      I really like piranhas and they worked awesomely in the index era so I'm tempted to use more than 3.

      I run a similar list, and I absolutely do. Adding a unit of pathfinders to hold the back and double guide will be my solution, but haven't played yet to see how effective it is. Montka's strength are those lethals - gotta be guiding!

    Any thoughts on starscythes?

    • @Woundedon6s
      @Woundedon6s  2 месяца назад

      Many in fact. Will be included in my upcoming retaliation cadre list and video. Played right into the correct targets they can put in work, but I think they really need the retaliation cadre buffs to be efficient, farsight does not hurt either.

      @@Khobai interesting. I’m testing starscythes with Farsight, each running double burst cannon. Like the idea of wounding boys on 2’s with the shorten blade. Free Strat the Arro’Kon Protocols for maximum ork pile.

    i hate it that Orks are allowed to use up to 120 Boyz.. it´s just ridiculous and jeah 5+ Invul 5+ FNP ... have fun
    btw love your Color scheme with these Grey and a touch of Red and White. what Grey color did u use for that?

    • @Woundedon6s
      @Woundedon6s  2 месяца назад

      That is basalt grey by Vellajo…The orks are tough but they are a fun matchup. While I had a bad game against them the other night there was a pile of dead boys.
