- The boys over at @SparksMotorsCo did some AWESOME work to our sand rail to get it ready for our annual cabin trip. This thing couldn't have come out better, and it looks like it might actually work!!!

I'm afraid that you have changed the final gear ratio too much. That car was running a big paddle tire with a large circumference. Now the circumference of the track drive sprocket is the effective tire size.

I'd put wider tracks on it. It's going to spin those over so easy. I can foresee you punching it from a dig in deep snow and the back end just instantly digging down lol

That snow rail looks truly legit! I love it. You should come racing on the snow. You might get spanked by some of the truly fast snow machines we race up here in Canada, the country that invented snowmobiles! (Realize that BRP, Bombardier, Ski-Doo and Rotax, are all Canadian companies. We have a long tradition of hot-rodding and racing snow machines. The world record was recently set for the 1/8th mile at 4.35 at 166 mph...on pavement with a 15' rubber belt for traction and no front wheels... Snow machines here are usually raced on snow, but we also race them on sand, turf, even water - yes they can cross water given enough power. 1000+ hp ! Hell Yeah Brother!

@@TheBazzterd in APRIL of 2021, I was struck by a Chevrolet suburban as I stepped out of my car on the side of the road. I lost my right leg above the knee, transfemoral amputation. Shattered my pelvis requiring rods and screws and spent over 2 years in the hospital recovering. I have my own place now, but I can’t go out like I used to. Or do any of the fun things Cleet does and films for us.

The arms the used to keep the teacks from flipping are definitely not gonna last long. They need to hit the drawing board again on that part . That thing definitely looks like a beast 💪
I think they mounted them backwards on the wrong side. That's why it drives nicer in reverse

Next step for the rail is to see if you can hydro plane/pond skip that sucker. Not sure if it will work since most hydro cars are 4×4 but who knows might get it to go with skis on the front and big enough paddles in the rear.

Snow seems to provide some forgiveness from what shennanigans other folks I follow get up to with tracks. They're not the most long lived but it always seems like a blast while it lasts

My only concern is the drive pully for the track is much smaller then the tires so you're going to have a pretty insane gear reduction and might not get enough track speed for the deep powder

That brake system for the track's to differential steer, incorporating it in to the regular steering would be genius, on top of the genius of creating a whole new marketplace for thier products.
I think you should bring your paddle tires with you to the cabin. You can put them on when the tracks break. The paddles will do pretty good in the snow.

I'd love to see this thing rip a huge wheelie, but the quick hits here and how much pivot those tracks have when he pulls the cutter brake...it's hard to see something not breaking fairly quick. Let's hope not!

Back in the 80's when the Suzuki 500 Quad was introduced. A couple friends put skies on it and drove to another village on a snowmachine trail. Track kits weren't invented yet. 😂❤

What you need to do is put skis on all four axles and turn it into a snow plane. Then bring it to Michigan to the Saginaw Bay

That should be fun! Utah snow if very dry and light at high elevation, might just sink if it's deep. Could try midwest snow near sea level, it's heavy packed and should hook up.

Cleetus you need an automatic windshield wiper and something to heat the windshield and you need some sort of windshield minus 40 degrees spray system. You will be driving blind if you don't have that. The alternative is a heated snowmobile helmet and no window.
Build one like 25 years ago with two snowmobile tracks and a VW Sandrail. That thing would blow by snowmobiles like they were sitting still. I want to say on hard ice, the front times worked better then skies. But that is probably more of a suspension thing.
