  • I was planning to continue with more stops in the Llanview memory lane last night, but I ended up not doing so instead. So now we go ahead and proceed with our detour/voyage down that beloved fictional town in Pennsylvania. Here we go with one more trip to Llanview in the 80s. Once again, this look at the lives of the Llanview residents/citizens has already been published in parts by ‪@HamiltonBernique‬ but I decided to put it all together.

Out of all of Dorian Cramer Lord's many true loves in Llanview, I'll always have a soft spot for David Renaldi. I absolutely loved Michael Zaslow's portrayal of David, and I thought that he and Robin Strasser had great chemistry whenever they did a scene together. It was magical. Oddly enough, when Zaslow came back to OLTL in 1998 shortly after he was controversially fired from his iconic role as Roger Thorpe on Guiding Light following his ALS diagnosis, they made the brave decision to write his illness onto the show. Quite a touching moment. Glad that OLTL managed to stand by him right up until the end of his life. Zaslow was a talented and brilliant actor who was loved by many in the daytime community, and is still dearly missed almost 25 years later. May he RIP. Thanks so much for sharing and re-visiting! I have another super random S.A.U. related question for you. Would you love to see/hear ABBA make a special guest appearance on "Quest" as themselves performing "Mamma Mia" and "Dancing Queen" at the Delaitre Ballroom in February 1977?

Michael Zaslow really stayed strong especially during his time with ALS disease. Whether he was the pianist David Renaldi or the villanous Roger Thorpe, Michael kept us entertained and captured our hearts with his talent. He is still missed today! 🙏🏻. I am honored that you enjoyed it!
To answer your question, it may be tough to get ABBA to come to the Sanchez/Caputo studios just to get them to appear on "Quest" in 1977. A busy singing group, I shall say. But it wouldn’t hurt to try and write them in at that time.

As I said before, we're gonna do what we can. Unfortunately, our REAL and S.A.U. archives don’t carry EVERYTHING from EVERY single show in existance and that includes S.A.U. shows as well. And also, we have an [imaginary] staff who is in charge of what the episodes of "Dora!!!!" are gonna be and that includes seasons, episodes, episode titles, airdates, and broadcast channels. And also, it takes a lot of time to come up with it all, so please be patient with us as they are settling things out and as I'm trying to finish up posting the soap episodes that I have in my digital archive. But you never know what episode we may share from the 5-season sitcom "Dora!!!!". Stay tuned! : )
