Consumer inflation slows in June: Mervyn Abrahams

  • The inflation rate for June was 5.1% down from May when it stood at 5.2%. It is within the target range of 5-6%.
    Several food and non-alcoholic beverage categories also showed lower annual rates in June. The interest rates were also kept unchanged.
    But does this translate to more cash flow for households?

    I wonder which SPAR is currently selling milk cartons @ R79.99. Our SPAR is selling it at more than R100.00 currently.

    Who are these people trying to bluf.. food is over priced..
