I’ve used Dove soap since I was 12 years old and also used glycerin soap for acne. I’ve used other products and causes major breakouts. I always came back to Dove. I only use glycolic acid once a week
Oh yeah girl!! I use this every morning leaves my skin very soft and then I use Vit C like timeless or Vichy ampoules, 3rd step moisturizer and super goop. I learn this from you is been life changer, I am 62 , people at work say that my face always glowing with little makeup even customers complement me. I appreciate you very much ❤
🎉thanks for another nice bit of derm-acation‼️ I’m so tired of people saying cleansers are washed down the drain, so ingredients don’t matter. Thanks for explaining the correct way to use it (taking time to massage in), the PH impact, and why ingredients matter in the long marathon of skincare‼️❤️❣️
I wouldn’t buy this because I prefer to have one gentle cleanser, only wash my face in the evening, and use glycolic acid peel pads twice a week on the nights I don’t use retinol. BUT this seems great for people who wash their face twice a day and want to save a step, and/or are dealing with skin dullness as a main concern and need to exfoliate daily. It’s always nice to have options!
Loveee all your videos. Thank you for always sharing skincare drugstore products that won't brake the bank!. Could you please share a video of your routine makeup?
Fab advice, Doc! I’ve very sensitive, mature skin and am very surprised that I can tolerate this product by introducing it very slowly to my skincare regime. - just as you recommend. Liz. UK.
I bought the loreal glycolic 3.5 cleanser after watching one of your videos earlier this year xx great cleanser, great value and I've had no issues with it and I see a difference when I use it :) ty ty ty !!! ❤ from 🇨🇦
Thank you for this -- could you please do a video on good cleansing/repair/moisturising for women in their 70s/80s/90s? My mom recently hit 80 and is depressed partly because there is no information or videos geared toward women in her age bracket. What are good routines and habits for women in these ages? Thanks.
Here’s one of Dr.Locke’s for dry skin, but I don’t really know what type skin your mom has. ruclips.net/video/8AHA2qb7TGg/видео.htmlsi=NBMO0muwhWnaVJeF There are plenty of women giving product reviews for your mom’s age group. I would search for “skin care for women in their 70s”, (or 80s). But keep in mind, not everyone is budget-minded. Many of the older RUclipsrs purchase expensive products. ruclips.net/video/Q0xj8CbmURE/видео.htmlsi=5MsmMKE0DILXMKIh. This is a 2nd video option, giving many choices. But the video is two years old, however many of the products will still be available!
You had me wanting this until you said “aloe”-my skin hates aloe, I get itchy and sometimes a rash from it! I appreciate that it is soothing and moisturizing for a lot of people, but it is in practically everything, at every price point. I just wish manufacturers wouldn’t dump it willy-nilly into anything they want to dress up with a botanical health halo. [It was especially annoying during the height of the pandemic hand-sanitizer shortages…it seemed like the only ones left on the shelves had aloe. I started carrying a tiny spray bottle of plain rubbing alcohol for hand-cleansing emergencies.] Love the info from your channel (even if my skin doesn’t always agree with your picks.) Thanks for all you do!
You should try the Vanicream cleanser. I love it. Its for uber sensitive skin but all skin types can use it. No anything that normally triggers reactive skine. And its like $9. Love their moisturizers too.
Hi! I wanted to mention the first cleanser linked L’Oréal) does contain menthol. I found it to be too irritating for my skin with that ingredient combined with the other actives that I use.
Since the soap literally washes off and goes down the drain. I will never spend a lot of $$ on it. Plus my friend who works in a luxury spa says it’s the top thing to never splurge on. ❤
Im an esthetician and have been in prestige beauty for over 2 decades. I dont spend alot on cleansers. And although it gets washed down the drain keeping a cleanser WITH actives such as glycolic acid on your skin for a minute or 2 is effective. Otherwise derms wouldnt recommend cleansers such as this and Panoxyl. And $10 is not a lot of money for a cleanser.
I would like to see her do a review on the ordinary line that you can get at ultra. I've herd some foo things about it but still insure. I know lot of dermatologist recommends cerave havent tried the face wash but I know the moisturizer dried my skin out and I already have dry skin. But the ordinary products I would like a real review.
You are my holy grail!! Your help has completely helped my skin look AMAZING! What do you think of drunk elephant vitamin C and the ordinary products?! 🤩
I need a suggestion. I'm 38 and trying to prevent aging, but my skin is very oily and I breakout easily. I need a balance of something that can control my sensitive oily skin same time for anti aging. Most face washes are too creamy for me and feel like a layer is left behind and builds up oil. Same time my face is having fine lines! I'm confused and trying one product after another only to suffer irritated skin, acne or opposite stripping too much oil off. What face wash would work best for me that's also drug store affordable?
Thank u Dr! Love ur videos! Wondering if you could recommend a gentle Vit C day serum (without niacinamide) that would still help with collagen production? I'm 51, still struggle with acne but can't seem to find a Vit C product that doesn't irritate me. The best so far is Timeless 10% C w Ferulic but after a few hrs, my skin gets tight & itchy. Thank u!! 🥰💜💜
Does it work for Roscoe? Or broken little red vessels on yr cheeks? Lmk I’m really interested? I developed these in my early 50’s. I think it’s from my medication for cholesterol or high blood pressure. Please let me know, I wouldn’t want to waste my hard earned money if it won’t help that or make it worse. Ty so much! Yr awesome. 👏 ❤
I bought it after watching your video) thanks for recommendation, I like first results from using it) but I don't like that they added menthol and can't imagine a reason they put it in this cleanser. I haven't experienced irritation because of it yet, but I don't like the cooling and tingling effect) Hope they will make menthol-free version
Why do you prefer the La Roche Posay gentle cleanser over the CeraVe gentle cleanser? Aren't they almost identical (ingredient-wise) and CeraVe is cheaper?
Great show, thanking you from Ohio. I am curious if you have any recommendation for scalp/hair shampoo & conditioners. I took a quick look and did not see any treatments for scalp/hair health. I don't have any problems or issues, just want to use a true healthy products. Thank you.
Would you recommend this for dark skin? I’m black and know glycolic acid is known to cause more irritation leading to dark spots for us. Would be great if you could ever mention that for your dark skinned viewers.
Tried this but I wasn't a fan. It barely foams up and it feels like it takes ages to get it off my skin. I'm sticking with my Ordinary Glycolic 7%, I think.
Isn't the salicylic acid in it a bit harsh for sensitive skin? I was ready to buy just now, so I went to Amazon to look at the product and it's mentioned that SA is in this. Now I'm not sure what to do. I just checked on all three Vitamin C serums and they are costly. Please include some less expensive options in a future video. Thank you for the video.
You had me until you said it contains salicylic acid. Salicylic acid gives me a rash wherever I apply it, my sensitive skin can't tolerate it. Guess I'm sticking with my CeraVe for now.
I am 57 with lupus. My skin is very smooth and soft but it looks like a hyperpigmented blotchy patchwork quilt with dark spots red spots wrinkles 11 lines and no matter what I use nothing helps to even out the skin tone I don’t even want to go outside anymore or look at myself in the mirror can you recommend something that may help me
I remember you saying in another video that you have dry skin. Mine is normal to oily and I still get blemishes at 55 years old. Will this work for me?
How’s the bucuhiol instead of vit c treating you?!😃 i followed suit and it def makes my skin glow but I’m scared it’s not yielding the same clinically proven results vit c will. I’m Black with darker skin and I know vit c is good for dark skin w hyperpigmentation
I believe Dr. Alexis Stephens is doing the same! I went ham trying to find a Bakuchiol +THD (Vit C) combo lol. I’m also surfing around for my Black skin.
I’ve been loving this cleanser ever since you recommended it in another video! It really does give my face a nice glow immediately after cleansing in the morning! The only thing is when I apply my laroche posay moisturizer afterwards I feel like it takes away the glow and my face seems dull again. I’ve tried a couple vitamin c serums but none have really done much for me (Vichy ampoules, neutrogena rapid repair capsules). I need to try one of your 3 faves that you mentioned in this video. Thank you for sharing!! 💕
Well, it looks like I’m changing my cleanser. Thank you! 😅I always thought that since cleanser doesn’t stay on the skin long, that the actives don’t work?
I seem to remember in an earlier video you said you were not using this. It was summer time I think. Was that because of the sun sensitivity of glycolic acid?
I bought this and been using over a week now. My skin is super dry! I use clinique moisture surge for a moisturizer and witch hazel as toner. What can do I to being my face back to life? I live in az and it's cold and dry here right now
I tried it on your recommendation but the menthol really bothered me. Strange because my skin isn't all that sensitive. It also stung my eyes no matter how careful I was. I don't understand why menthol was so important to the formulation.

I wouldn't buy the L'Oreal unless they take the menthol out but I do like the LaRoche-Posay Hydrating cleanser 😊
Yes!! The menthol is heinous.
Hi Dr Locke. Are you back to using vitamin C serum rather than bakuchial? Thank you
Right now on Amazon they are selling this cleanser for buy 2 get one free!, great deal!
Would you say that this cleanser is more efficient or similar to the cerave renewing SA cleanser ? Thanks !!
This cleanser has been on my list for soooooo long. My skin loves glycolic acid. And I've been wondering about this one forever
Hello can I ask you a question?
Hi. The treatment cleanser has Menthol?
Also, the night moisturizer says for OILY SKIN? Please advise, thanks!
I bought this on your recommendation and I swear it’s made a difference in my skin! Thank you!!!
Hello can I ask you a question?
Any budget friendly suggestions for the morning serum and the nightly wrinkle treatment? The ones listed are a little pricey!
What price range are you looking for? I may be able to help. The Ordinary has some great products at great price points as well as The Inkey List.
I know my favorite Derm pretty well - - so I know which cleanser you’re going to suggest😄 but I won’t give it away.
I have my hunches too, kind of new here but I have been binging a lot of her videos. 😉
haha love this!!
Can u use a glycolic toner after using this cleanser?
@@jenniannd I do!!
I love the Hado Labo cleansing oil and CeraVe hydrating cleanser
Oh I LOVE this cleanser! Thank you for the recommendation! What moisturizer would you pair this with??
my favorite facial cleanser is dove bar soap.
Love this cleaner. I am slowly building my day and night time routine products.
For me this cleanser is also really good for back acne :) thank you for this recommendation

Whats the difference between Loreal revitalift Triple Power LZR and the One you recommended?
Great video! And soo agree with the best tinted Spf, it is 👌🌟!!
I'd like to notice that the product mentioned has a different design in Europe - a pink-white-red tube and a red lid!

There is a black dermatologist on RUclips. Her name Dr. Alexis Stephens
I'm a guy and I noticed how my friends are aging in our 50's. Started watching you and you are very interesting this is my first product ever.

Is it o to use vitamin c serum and vitamin c moisturizer at the same time?

there are but theyre pricier.
I’m all ears. I’ll pay extra to support cruelty free brands.
I don't like that this cleanser has menthol in it
Wish they omitted the menthol.
Me too. I used to manage a Clinique counter and they took out the menthol in their products that contained it considering they claimed the line to be fragrance free. L'Oreal should do the same. This is irritating around the eyes if you accidentally get it around them.
