When they kissed I started making very inhuman noises. I've been struggling with not being accepted for the past year, ever since I came out, and this really hit my heartstrings. I hope I can find somebody that loves me as much as they do in this film.

Anyways I had a hard time coming out with being bisexual and stuff so here is what I did
1. Came out at school no one had a problem with it
2. Started to tell my mom but my conscience was like ABORT ABORT ABORT THE MISSION. So that failed.
3. Tried to tell my mom again but same thing happened ( I'm scared to tell her bc she is Christian but I believe in more than 1 god and I dont like what some Christians stand for....
4. Finally excepted the fact I can't tell her so now I just won't tell her.

Ahh ! I completley understand your struggle and have too experienced this. You're right, it isn't always as easy as a kiss, and mutuality immedialtey ensues. But there are other ways you can always give love to others, even if the one you romantically love doesn't see you. It's hard, but there's always people to give love too!

OMG this was filmed at a high school that is really close to me! Like I literally played a volleyball game there once...
Woah cool! Fun fact: I actually didn't film the classroom scenes inside the highschool, I just took external shots of the school and then used my own college classrooms because of permission issues with the high school. All worked out though! Thank you for watching :)

I wanted it to end happily and resolving both of their internal and external conflicts, because sometimes love that is healthy, good, and prosperes inner self growth does exist, and I really wanted to tell that kind of story. I think it's really really important to always be kind to others, no matter their differences, so them trying to have a friendship despite being opposites is a super important part of the film, because in the end they turn out to have more in common than they initially thought.

Ha. Sometimes it still makes me laugh too! It was done in a whole classroom full of extras who were also in school with my lead characters, the teacher was also a professor at my college, so it was pretty funny to film. Hope you enjoyed it though, thank you for watching :)

WHEN THEY KISSED I STARTED CRYING SEND HELP I CANT
Story time: The first EVER on screen kiss between the two of them was the first day of shooting, and they had never even spoken in real life. Basically what happened was the actor playing Ever kissed Cecilia's actor, and then ran away... It was SO pure and adorable!
The fact that you used novels made this already great short film like twice as good. I absolutely love it!

Hannah Ruth thank you for your kindness!! Haha actually, the funny part is most of the fears in this were actually their fears, and it was actually them doing their fears! In the eating bit, they ate dead crickets, then they climbed to one of the tallest buildings on campus on the roof, and the dancing thing was in the middle of our school cafeteria, where I put on a slow song on the loud speaker and they danced in front of everyone !!

This is the most adorable thing! That kiss! Oh my gosh!
Hahaha the kiss took so many takes, the actors HATED me by the end, I think we shot the kiss in 5 different locations, for around 40 takes in total, but this was our last take and TOTALLY worth it.

I'm a little confused on your second question, but if you're asking if their girlfriends were okay with their on screen relationship, then yes! Ever's actor had a girlfriend at the time of filming and she was fully supportive of the film! Cecilia's actor was single at the time. If you have any more questions let me know! :)
