See, now there you go again! Dang it! Making those genius shop tools, that every guy with a shop wishes he could make but does not have the tools or brains to make it (and that would be me). Love these video's, and your work Mr. Cunningham. Thank you sir.
I like the looks of that one a lot better than buying a factory built one. Lol. That looks slick Frank, on my next shop to do list. Thanks again friend
Thanks Frank, Might be able to make it friendly to push out kingpins and hydraulic cylinder pins that are stuck or even a stuck ball joint. Just thinking of other uses. Maybe use Railroad tie plates with gussets for mounts, since there are a lot where I am located. Concrete brace rods and nuts look better than using expensive acme rods. Great idea!
thats a really handy tool!!!! i built a similar one for pulling and pushing all those track hoe bushings, but i had to upgrade to high strength all thread, the galvanized available from the local hardware store kept breaking on me!

I see the TD 8 mentioned in the comments, and in the video, any idea where to get a sprocket, or a weld on sprocket tooth ring for a TD 8 C? Thanks for any help.
I’m betting the first guy who showed up with a pocket on his shirt raised as much envy as you do when you show off your clever fixes and tools. But, then again that’s what innovators do! I’m starting to turn green already! #envyalert

Any particular reason for using the coil threaded rod instead of an acme threaded rod? I could not find any particulars on the coil threaded or attributes of it.
sequoyah59 it’s pretty inexpensive here are the specs. I suppose you could use any thing you wanted, but I like how it threads fast. www.daytonsuperior.com/docs/default-source/tech-data-sheets/b12coilrod_td.pdf?sfvrsn=c9f2d560_31
Seeing this is making me think of an application for a break for CMU block walls to get chip face. Maxwell Supply, here I come. Unrelated, but I just noticed a crack in the loader bucket (thin metal) of sub compact tractor. Do you have a recommendation for welder to repair?
Do you have recomendation for shop/person to repair? R/R the plates on the bottom that have been worn away over the years of use. The crack is on one of the corners where the plate steel has been ground down over the years. No box blade, so would back drag loooonnnnng gravel drive. I have since the improved skill since watching videos and spending a bit of time in a skidsteer. If not, general enough repair, I think, to use Google to find shop. Thanks.

Thanks for making this video. I'll need to make one for my TD8 when I fix the Idler.

Nice work on the build. Can't have too many helpful tools in the shop especially built with your own two hands!
Thanks!

This coil thread is super tough, way better than regular all thread
That Is A Dandy Little Tool , Doesnt Have To Be Fancy , As Long As It Works
Thanks!
Nice portable press. Handy in a pinch I bet. Cool build.
Thanks!
Thanks, Frank - more Yankee ingenuity at it finest!

Try Kirby Smith in OKC? FP Smith in California? Also
There are several aftermarket undercarriage companies
I'll bet that would work great for king pins.

1 inch, but bigger is always better.

Unrelated, but I just noticed a crack in the loader bucket (thin metal) of sub compact tractor. Do you have a recommendation for welder to repair?
That may work, as for the crack, it depends on the location. I will usually vee the crack and weld up with 7018. May need to plate it too.
Do you have recomendation for shop/person to repair? R/R the plates on the bottom that have been worn away over the years of use. The crack is on one of the corners where the plate steel has been ground down over the years.

@@Digginok Norman.
Will that jack work on it side in the horizontal position?
ruclips.net/video/wmtJjTp6rw4/видео.html yep
I have to push four pins out on my D6R and hate the thought of hammering them out. I'm in southern Oklahoma myself and love your vids
Might need a bigger jack for a 6. I appreciate you watching.
Seen 75 ton purpose built pin presses not push out D8 links
They can get pretty tough
Dont buy another nut for that left side. You shouldn’t need any nuts under the plate that holds the jack down firm.
How many smashed finger's and choicest word's before you came up with that ? lol are you back in town or still playing in the mud ?
Playin in the east Texas gumbo!
