I guess you know jim and his brothers was back up singers for martly Robbins their a great singer.the first song I heard by Jim Glaser was if I could only dance with you I had his first 3 albums they was so great every song was so good Jim Glaser had a big fan base.im from corbin ky
Even though this wasn't the highest charting single from the album, this one has stayed consistently the most popular tune from the album...probably because it is the most danceable and actually has dance moves uttered in the song (!)
That's an awesome song makes me think about Cynthia Bishop a young lady I was crazy about in high school every time I hear that song to this day oh, and that was back in the early 80s
Beautiful song also this song reminds me of what country music USED TO SOUND LIKE!!! Real country music is Jim Glaser George Strait and Alan Jackson!!! Today's country music is NOT country music. And I think more people than not feel exactly the same way.
kt AGREED!.. I don't know why Country Music had to totally change. Other music genres are still what they are. It's a puzzle why Country had to sell out.
Daisy Flowers Thanx Daisy...I forgot Larry Boone...Jerry Jeff Walker...George Jones...Conway n Loretta...there's many many more!!! I also liked 80 pop music...like George Michael. He was gorgeous! RIP George
His version on Country Family Reunion (which has been taken down for some reason), is better than this one. He was older, but the band in Bill Andersons Country Family Reunion really did this song justice too. I loved it! RIP Jim. 🙏
I Really like All Of Jim Glasers music I cannot believe That The DJ's At KEKB 99.9 FM In Grand Junction Colorado Have never heard Of JimGlaser at all. Why In The Hell Are They Even Working In Country Music Broadcasting If They Have Never Heard Of Him Its So Funny.
Thanks so much for posting this top tune of Jim's. It and many of his great hits of the 80's. Bringing back so many good and not so good memories of my hard drinking days and the issues I had with my husband at the time....rest in peace Bill Miller. Jeannie
I find it hard to believe that I saw Jim Glaser live in Salt Lake City Utah back in the early 1980's . I am a big country music fan and none of the country music dj's here in Grand Junction Colorado do not even know who Jim Glaser is now that is very odd. The dj's at KEKB country radio do not even seem to know who is. And here they work for country music radio of all of the strange things.
@tigerlady49 - Because they know people over 28 dont buy as much music as the 10-28 crowd... everyone tries to push youth but they are so stupid, cause young grows old... if they're lucky!
I hope folks continue to discover Jim Glaser.
This album is full of wonderful songs.
In my opinion.The best Country Music Album ever.👍👍🌹🌹♥️♥️🇺🇸🏴🌞🌞

The most underrated country singer-songwriter and talented musician. Thanks for the music.
Hard to believe this song only made it to #10. The local radio station wore the grooves out of the record.

@Pacisdiligo
No, not really.... Jim G.'s. voice just doesn't come through the arrangements well enough. No disrespect intended at all.
