I hate my speed queen top loader, It is out of balance 7 out of 10 loads. No amount of fixing the cloths helps always have to go to spin only, then back to wash just to rinse the load but make sure to set a timer or it will go through all the cycles AGAIN. (so much for saving water) Mine is commercial so the salesman said i could really pack it tight. NOT, it is so frustrating . I will tell everyone i know NOT to buy this washer. I have to do sheets and towels my cottages and i am always fussing with this machine, not a time saver or water saver as i was told. 50 thumbs DOIWN
Bought a new speed queen washer over a year ago. Washer began walking excessively a few months ago and making lots of noise. Tech has been out three times, replaced all of the springs, no change. I wanted to buy made in America but it hasn't worked so well.
I'm having the same experience! The spin cycle is violent as can be. The springs were changed out but there hasn't been any difference.
Very devastated that you discontinued your old design. I loved it. I am not a big fan of your new design.
AEG, and Miele, had that suspension system for over 50yrs.
It needs to STOP spinning when out of balance! I think it is
damaging to the machine and thumping across the floor!! it has done this when doing blankets- they wind up on one side..the machine is not overloaded.. The machine now squeaks a bit when it starts up at times...if it was balancing itself with fluid shifts, the machine wouldn't be moving across the floor
What would a "staff engineer" be?
My speed queen front loader acts dramatically out of balance every single load, but smooths out on high speed. I think the balance tech isn't working. Not the best use of $2.2k for me

I'm here after my wife put 5 (apparently) super absorbent blankets in our TR5. Jesus, the load must have weight 150 pounds as I pulled them out. I didn't even know there was a problem until the machine was making a beeping sound and I had to pull two of them out. It's fine though!
Problems with this new model,my tech is trying to fix,cannot wash clothes properly constant error code.

The new washers do not work very well.
I need help! My Speed Queen is belt diven. It makes noise during the wash and it doesn't agitate. It only spins clockwise pretty fast that it spills water on the side of its tub. What should I do? Please help.

Is Speed Queen still making top load washer with mechanical timers?
All of our machines have an electronic control verses an mechanical control. There are a few reasons why the mechanical is no longer available. First, we have been using electrical in all of our Commercial products for over 20 years and have found that they last longer than the mechanical ones. Our water level control feature requires a microprocesser that is only found in electronic controls. And finally mechanical controls could not handle the changes being mandated by the government and all the capibilities and functions we wanted to be able to put on our machines. I hope this was helpful information.
