    is there a mileage limit on each app or upcharges depending on how many miles they put on the campervan or RV?

    • @NomadJunkies
      @NomadJunkies  3 года назад +6

      Hi there! The apps don't have limits, but as an owner you just want to include a limited amount of miles for your renters. We limit at 175 miles per day, and we sell bundles of extra mileage as add-ons. It's a good way to increase your RV rental revenue. We give some tips here : nomadjunkies.com/en/rvezy-review-the-ultimate-guide-to-rent-an-rv-for-your-next-road-trip/ Let me know if you have other questions, cheers!

    What if your van breaks down while it’s being rented ? Or a renter brings it back a day late and someone else needs to rent it ? Thanks

    • @NomadJunkies
      @NomadJunkies  3 года назад +4

      If the van breaks down while rented, it won't impact your insurance and there is claim process for that, RVezy and Outdoorsy both got you cover for that. For your second question, I always leave one full day in between rental to avoid that kind of problem, because it's possible that the renters miss a ferry or something with the van, you don't want to do a check in and chek out as an hotel or Airbnb will do.

    Do you have a fleet of RVs? Or, just a few? Primary biz or do you have jobs, as well? Very curious and trying to weigh my options.

    • @NomadJunkies

      We just have one and it's a side business. But few people manage entire fleet and make this their main business. I think starting with one is a good test. :-)

    Just used RVEZY and will not use it again. So many problems. When i callled the "help" desk couldn't help. I later found it that I had two accounts (no idea where the second one came from). I bought additiional insurance but I think I still paid for a window that was broken by a thrown rock from the tires of an 18 wheeler on HWY 40. I say I think because there was a dispute from the owner when I returned the vehicle. I was sent two emails about the "dispute" the first said I had one, the second said it had been settled. I called Rvezy and was told the person handling the dispute had left for the day and I he/she/it would return my call the next day. I didn't get a call but did get an email saying the dispute had be settled but it looks like they are keep ing 450.00 USD from my desposit. That is after I paid an additional 350.00 USD for additiional insurance. Of course it might be something else, as I have NO idea nor can I get anyone to tell me what the dispute was. I enjoyed the trip and will rent again, but I will not be using RVezy. Oh, and there is NO way to leave a review on their webpage - that should have been an indicator for piss poor performance from the beginning.

    Can’t agree with the insurance topic. General liability insurance isn’t as good as owners who purchase their own. This 1 million dollar insurance policy is garbage. We need a company that allows owners to buy insurance, and charge the renter. Only those who have local insurance agents will know what they need.

    Do you have a good gauge to estimate occupancy? How many average days a month is it rented in spring/summer/fall versus winter?

    • @NomadJunkies
      @NomadJunkies  2 года назад

      We don't rent in Winter because of the snow, but about 90% occupancy in summer peak and 60% rest of the time

    Hey, good info on these vids. We live in Cochrane AB, so we are close to Calgary (and the airport) Banff National Park, Canmore, Jasper National Park. We have tons of great camping, hiking, fishing, skiing etc all with in 20 to 40 minutes depending on where one wants to go and what they want to do... so i think our location to do something like this 10/10.
    I am thinking about getting into the RV rental business, and just wondering about the real viability of it. Realistically how much could a guy make with a 32ft bunk model that has a master bedroom, sleeps 5 (mom, dad, and 3 kids) very comfortably with an outdoor kitchen, AC, and 3400W inverter generator. I would provide full service (delivery, setup, take down, BBQ, firewood... everything needed for a great time of camping.

      Hi M&J! Thanks for sharing! It is a good way to make extra money. You can find out how much you can make with your unit by doing the first steps on RVezy: nomadjunkies.com/go/rvezy-owner-signup/ They have all the stats from similar units, so they can tell you how much to expect! Have a good time getting in the RV rental business! Let us know if you have any other questions! :-)

    Hi Nomad Junkies. Thanks for this video. Do you own the van yourself or have you created a company that officially owns it and generates the rental revenues for you? Also, I was wondering if you have to pay anything apart from the 20% service fee to use RVezy. For example, do you have to pay anything for the rental insurance or is it all included in RVezy service fee? Thanks!

    • @NomadJunkies
      @NomadJunkies  2 года назад +4

      Allô Charles! Thanks for the good words. We own the van as a personal thing, not corporate. I believe that RVezy and Outdoorsy are mainly made for personal owners, not for companies. When you use one these platforms, you will see the price you will earn from the renters. They automatically show you the price with their commission already removed from it I believe. They do take a cut on the renters add-ons and basically everything the renters will add as extra.
      The rental insurance is included with any platform that is the only way you can use this platform, so you don't need extra insurance. Actually, it won't change anything on your current personal insurance. When a renter rents your unit, it goes on Rvezy or Outdoorsy insurance, not yours.
      I don't mind that they are taking a commission because the risk is on their insurance, it will not impact my insurance history and theses platforms find the renters for you too. :-) Let us know if you have other questions!

      Helloooo Julie! Basically, you will never loose the 50%! We talked to RVezy and they said : ''Renters are required to leave a review for their owner. However, if a renter does not complete this step, it will expire after 7 days and automatically complete the booking. In addition, we reach out to the renter 48-hours after their closeout phase starts and urge them to review the owner and complete the rental. ''

      @nomad junkies, I am from canada recently booked a 2022 sunseeker to get into rv rental business through rvezy and outdoorsy, how do you rent in both platforms at the same time? How the insurances will work? I have been calling several insurance companies in canada they are allowing only rental platform to rent through, can you help how your insurance company works to rent both at the same time? And also with respective to liability,is it safe to have registered rv on personal name or an incorporation name?

    Thank you for this info, i read their q&a what if there was a hit and run which may be rare but a reality. In that case if nothing is reported cops are involved .. as per what was written if nothing is reported insurance from rvezy may not cover us.. in terms of a criminal involment like a hit and run the owner is responsible in a civil suit regardless if they are the driver or not

    • @NomadJunkies
      @NomadJunkies  3 года назад +1

      Interesting, but if the renter hit and run, we have his driver license, so will that work? The chances are that they will be witnesses if the accident is with another car.

    What if they leave it suuuper dirty? Can you charge an extra cleaning fee if this happens?

    • @NomadJunkies
      @NomadJunkies  Год назад +1

      Hello! Yes, well you decide the amount of deposit from the renter, let's say 1000$. Before completing the return form, you decide if you want to make a claim if something is broken or in terrible conditions. RVezy and Outdoorsy will hold the deposit and contact you to solve this. Normally, you will get your extra cleaning fee from that deposit.
