      500 deposit isn’t enough. We’ve been renting our 28’ Grand Design for two years.
      You definitely aren’t telling these people everything. And with 13 units it’s no longer a side hustle. lol. Some people go out of their way to take care of the rv and some are pretty careless. We’ve had people cut on our counter tops 3 different times. I was lucky enough to be able to wet sand the scratches out.
      We even have cutting boards in the rv and make sure we point them out. 🤦‍♂️

    This was very informational, me and my wife have been on the platform for just over a year now and has added a joint venture camper. We actually just figured out the 25% breakdown on all the add-ons and we didn't like it either. We hope to make a living out of this market because it's something we both love. We are going to out and follow you all on all of your platforms and maybe we can share some tips and tricks back and forth with each other.

    what size trailer would you recommend buying for a first timer that wants to rent out an rv?

    • @BoutthatRVLife
      @BoutthatRVLife  2 года назад +2

      IMO a bunkhouse 24-30 feet. One that sleeps 8-10. Our best rental is a Hideout 2021 25 foot bunkhouse. Next best is a 30 foot Grand Design Imagine bunkhouse that sleeps 10. It also depends on your region. We are near a ton of full hookup campsites and the Gorge Amphitheater.

      Hi Karen we have grown a lot since this video was made. We now have 19 RVs we rent out. I would say we stay pretty busy as most of our units are booked completely out. @BoutthatRVLife thank you for responding. Your campers, are they all tow or do you have any driveable ones? Do you know anyone that owns a Class A that rents theirs out and if so how they are doing with their rentals? I've tried reading up to see which RV is popular whether it be a tow camper or driveable but I get mixed opinions.

      @@karenjones8773 hi Karen no we don’t know anyone who has a class A we do have 2 class c Motorhomes that do well. Most of our campers are 24-30 foot bunkhouses that seem to do very well for us in our location.

      We use State Farm for our personal insurance. While our on rentals we use RV Share, Outdoorsy (Roamly ins) and when we rent from our website it’s through wheelbase which is also Roamly.

    Great Video! We currently rent out our 27ft BH and it has stayed very busy. I was thinking of adding another rig to our fleet. Would you suggest adding the same type of rig or do you think it would be better to add something different and have some variety?

      Thanks Joe! I am a big believer in sticking with what is working in your area. If it’s the bunkhouse and it’s working for you definitely invest in another unit or find an rv rental agreement/consignment unit you can split profits with. Check out this video on how we multiplied our profits. ruclips.net/video/h3TBzUwisyg/видео.html

      Ok that sounds great! Couple of key things when getting started. Platforms are great but use them for the renters and leads they produce. Try to be on your own or use wheelbase pro that takes zero commission you will need 5 units fyi. Use add on’s to create additional income.
