anyone know y=x^2 and y=-x^2+4, i thought when we reverse the sign of x it reflects in y-axis , but why this graph is reflecting in x-axis?, kindly clarify
Multiply by a bigger number to make it smaller. Compression. Multiply by a smaller number to make it wider. Stretch. Edit: With g(x)=-3x^2 If it’s wider, without parentheses, it’s a vertical compression. With g(x)=1/3x^2 It’s going to get stretched. There are no parentheses so it’s a vertical stretch.
thanks!!!!! I HAD NOOOO IDEA HOW TO DO THESE AND I HAVE EXAMS IN 7 HOURS
