If you notch the hole as shown in the video, the original plug can be replaced. We recommend protecting any bare metal with spray paint, and if the plug doesn't cover the entire hole, you can use some sealant like # LT37467 to protect the opening. www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/CURT/C13409.html www.etrailer.com/Lubricants-Sealants-Adhesives/Loctite/LT37467.html
I’m glad my Jetta was simple back in the day. But this doesn’t look too bad.
The install is pretty straightforward, as shown in the video you'd checked out.

Great video, I’m taking it on this weekend! Dealer wanted 500ish dollars for installation - lol
We love to hear this! Thank you for the feedback!

Good video. Question what about the hole that was drilled, isn't there a plug to protect it?

It's look easy, but it's not! Have it done at Uhaul!!
The fish wire comes with the hitch?
Actually, the Curt # C13409 hitch includes four of them!

Jesus, that’s sloppy work with the impact... Where’s your torque wrench?
This is why I don’t let so called “professionals” anywhere near my stuff.
I bet you're one of those guys that stands and watches the entire time when you have trades working on your house
@@wileycoyote556 Only when they do sloppy work. Do it right or go home.
