This is so relaxing to watch and listen to ... and at the same time it almost brings tears to my eyes. It's what we were led to believe The Future would look like (whoever invoked those two TV tropes pages got it exactly right) in all those movies and TV shows from the 1960s and '70s. I almost expect to see opening credits. Or the camera to turn around and show us Kirk and Spock

Yes, Dubai is nice in februari, swimming and tanning is great but not on public beaches. Have fun.
Dubai Metro is more like a people mover so that's why it's not as fast as other metro worldwide like the one in London or Paris.

looks great and clean, etc but a subway is only as good as its ability to get people to work and i can't help but notice that it announced but didn't stop at ibn battuta (mall). i like to know if there are closures WELL in advance of my journey, so i can make necessary arrangements. i'm glad i don't work at the mall and have to rely on that system!!! spend more time getting it to function and less time cleaning.
I think Dubai forgot what the word "metro" means when they named their train system.
If this is metro, why does it go sooo slow? I would probably take a bus or something. Is there some speed limit? It seems it could go so much faster on the smooth track like this.

Nice and clean metro system and clean country. People do not have to worry about metro stations that stink of piss and have to avoid stepping into dog crap when leaving the stations like in Amsterdam, the sewer city, where littering and dog turds are illegal but nobody cares, least of all the authorities and government who should learn from places like Dubai.
