@@CriticalErA so far very good, defenetly an upgrade from my old reciever. The wireless rear speakers work ok. Still messing with the settings to dial them in.
With each pair of outputs raising the cost $700-800, wondering if they had just a preamp model with no amplification where you could get 13 or 16 channels at a reduced price, or comparable? Does Sony serve the pre-amp lineup?
Yes, strip the amps and gives us 2 volts out. Almost all receivers can't output full wattage on all channels. What we want is a Pre-Pro with the same functionality as this receiver.
I'd stay away from this cr@p. Cheap plastic design, useless room correction solution, when 360 mapping is activated, you get a loud hiss from most speakers. I'll take Denon X4800H over the STR-AZ7000ES any time.
Absolutely true man , looking at this siily design , i am glad i bought Denon A1H beast but i had bad luck and it broke after 2 weeks , memory for the Audyssey calibration stopped maintaining settings after disconnecting the power supply and now only service can help . Now for the moment i can live with that , as long as it is connected to the socket. Besides this shit , this AVR is f.... awesome in every way - sound and power 👍👍👍😊
@@LEMON48 The Audyssey memroy issue was discussed in AVS forum and it was a FW bug I remember. Are you on the latest FW? If you are then contact Denon support
If you were considering spending the money on a Sony ES but didn't want one because it doesn't do what you need it to, then don't go back to Denon. Get a Marantz. Both brands are currently from the same company, but I've noticed that Marantz tends to have a better level of quality and attention to detail compared to its Denon peer.
@2:43 you will see the Sony tv turn off .. i bought a Sony tv from best buy and it would turn off every once in awhile for no reason ... later you will see it turned back on.. i returned it for a Samsung and had no issues with it.
The Sony had great sound, but the dealbreaker was, there was no app for the iPhone 14 to control the receiver, change settings and be able to listen to music through my iPhone so I’m sending it back. I have always had Yamaha receivers and I really want to like this Sony.
@@BossTechKing its a hard fail. no dtsx pro no auro in house eq when even D&M are offering dirac now sony is behind the times again. only benefit is its the cheapest 13 channel AVR
Nice to see the ES line back to its roots….
Just to clarify, he said the receivers are both processing and amplifying all channels? So the sweet spot 5000 is 11 ch processed and powered?
These are getting better and better
I ordered the 5000 series, upgrading from 5.1.2 to 5.1.4. Also ordered their two rear wirless speakers to pair. Cant wait!!
how are you liking it so far and what settings do you watch your movies/shows in for full 5.1.4?

Hi Guy, what Dac used in the 5000 and 7000 series- ?
Please come out with ES SACD players again! Miss all those from 2000 on.
I hope one day they come with a pre-pro version , sadly I’m not interested on avr’s anymore once you go separate, you’re never going to back to Avr’s
Cool. What pre are you currently using?

Love the refresh but damn they should update the aesthetics!

When available in India
Does it process and tune subwoofer channels with room connections?
What is the voltage on the Pre-Out jacks?
Hi, is the hdmi 2.1 are 48gbs or 40gbs?
It seem that Brennan mentioned on 1 video they are 48gbs but everybody else said they are 40 gbs
Sony master of electronics
Sony really stepped it up!
Oh yeah. And they are affordable.
Do these new Sony AV Receivers do Gapless Music playback?
do the front located USB play video too ?
Does anyone know if this receiver (AZ5000) can technically do up to 4 zones with use of a preamp...?
You need to make minidisc recorders again
Apakah ini walkman versi home theater???
No Pre-outs on Sony AZ3000 ES thats No good for me, need atleast Front Pre-outs to add my Stereo Amp for better music playback
Just a question, how do you hook up a Stereo Amp via the pre outs? Is there a noticeable difference?
Pre outs to inputs in the power amp
Do the hdmi outputs ... output audio & video simultaneously like Yamaha do or just the main output please ... Thanks in advance
Isn't that the purpose of HDMI? Audio and video through the same cable?
If you are asking if both hdmi outs can work simultaneously, yes you can output to TV and projector at the same time.

Will the ES receivers be available in the UK?
I hope so. Just can’t find nothing about it. I noticed richer sounds and Sevenoaks have the entry level model available on preorder.

Can sony bring these to Australia please
Wow makes you wanna build something great don’t it
always like a chunky AVR
I bought many ES receivers and the HDMI boards have always failed me, and/or I lose access to the GUI menu. “Sony Never Again”
so youre basing this ones performance off a bad experience in the past?
Anything over 3000$ I’m going arcam anthem
Sony is trying to change the game I see! lol Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching and commenting Dwight’s :)
Beautiful but very expensive !
As far as two channel sound quality goes, Sony knock spots off any of its Japanese AVR counterparts
Great AVR, But Poor Remote design........
Newer again Sony
