And since i'm older now i can see her point of view, a few years ago i wouldn't agree at all... I guess it's mostly about how you interpret the word "creep". Perspective is everything.

In earlier Radiohead days I think thom was more focused on being an additional instrument and emoting than actual enunciating. Some of the late 90s n early 2000s artists were a reaction to this style, and artists started to put an emphasis on enunciation as a hallmark of there sound. im thinking in particular the great album from postal service, amongst many others from that period. But yeh great job having ur mum, it was great!

Dave this is so different on other corny parent/kid vid - your mom and you have such a unique and lovely pure back and forth - when she offered cuseling to Thom it was so classic - I hope he contacts her :) Youre lucky you have a great mom - I am not sure you'll be able to convine her o do this again but I am SO down for it. Like, maybe give her a couple simple more positive ones it would be fun to see - maybe less depressing like "House of Cards." Maybe "High and Dry" then go a different direction and do "Exit Music" but let her know the play it is based on first - then really challenge her with like "There, There" or "Pyramid Song." Wow - I am just like telling you how to exist in life - sorry man, just caught myself, maybe I need to talk to you on Videotape (woah - SO totally not meaning I am about to off myself it as meant to be poor humor). By the way, all of us most pure (I am 25 years into RH being my favorite band upon my first listen to OK Computer in college) all struggled with the lyrics. It is one of the best part of being a fan though - singing the wrong words for like 7 years then going back and then finding out how much more epic the songs become once you know what he is saying. Also, 'Mephistopheles' is pronounced "Meff-uh-stah-fuh-leez'...and totally meant to rep the devil waiting just beneath him as he contemplates what he is facing as he records his possible last farewell - I personally never saw it as suicide, maybe terminal illness or equally just someone scared of death who maybe just had a close call and realizes he needs to say so much but is too scared but wants to be sure he leaves it behind him, sadly almost only able to finally be open and real once he is free in a way and not there to face the results which might even be positive. Unique song I could not stand and was literally so upset as I felt "In Rainbows" was only the tiniest step below "OK Computer" in being utterly flawless magic, yet I could not get this last track ruining it - I was so frustrated AND bewildered so many other fans not only loved it instantly of the 9 album closing songs they have it was/is their favorite. BUT - several re-watches of 'From the Basement', which while I do now very much enjoy the studio track on the album, to me it is still my least favorite of all 9 and I feel that live version is so so superior and I still wish they'd used it or one just like it instead...Phil's little natural drum trills beginning midway and Ed's shimmering guitar on that live cut breathe so much of a more organic and hopeful twist - new life into the song just on their own. That comment turned super long really fast. Great vid - totally loved it, thanks and would really enjoy another one. Your original vids were some of my favorite RH reaction vids - may have to go back and re-watch them. See - this experiment has real dividends and you can thank your mom - I will directly - you have a sweet and honest and wise personality and your true nature shines. Of with his Handbag - maybe you can give Thom a lift - he is actually a pretty upbeat guy - just normal - lyrics are poems nd our poems are so often where we cruise through those most challenging and hurtful elements of our life experience. Fun, but I don't know, I think this video would have been more interesting if you had just focused on letting her react to the music and interpret the lyrics instead of playing a weird game of trying to make her decipher them when even those lyric sites get them wrong half the time.

Well it's a bit misleading. This isn't a reaction video at all. This wasn't about her reacting to anything. You should have called this video, "Can my mom understand thom yorkes singing?" That would have been more appropriate and correct. It would have also have prevented me from clicking on this and you could have avoided this interaction, which you probably aren't enjoying. I like reaction videos. I don't care if your mom can understand someones singing. We all clicked on this because we expected a reaction video.
To be fair, if a boy can’t look you in the eye, it’s because he is too shy. If they look right at you and make eye contact and keep looking, that’s when you should be worried.
There are a number of reasons someone can't or won't make eye contact. Intimidation, deception, hatred, keeping a secret, etc. All concerning motives. All reasons that places trustworthiness in question.

I personally knew several boys AND girls growing up that were awkward and would look away when someone looked at them or looked down instead of looking the other person in the eye. The whole "people that don't look you in the eye have concerning motives" thing is something that just happens in the movies and then people assume ulterior motives when the person was most likely just awkward.
