A few weeks ago, I started watching your channel when you bought Pivot. Now I’m watching 3 or 4 of your Great Loop Videos , in order, daily. I’m enjoying this awesome series!
"I am Jenn and this is Elliot!" Guyyyys that was so funny! 😂 Loved this Q+A, surprised by how much we learned! PS our favorite weekend of boat life was totally the same weekend 🥰
I attended Captain Chris training recently. Several of the attendees have watched the channel and loved it. One commented on how good the production quality is. Excellent show.
You folks are great at all you do. You have the perfect mix of commentary, beautiful film work editing and sound. You also work so well together and seem so happy. Thanks for what you do, i've been following the Great Loop for a few years and I've enjoyed every minute.
Lol I love the bloopers in the end where you show that aunt Katherine asked so many questions! Woohoo! Love aunt Kat 🤗❤️ Really enjoyed watching this video! Good job you guys!!
Aww thanks sis! Kathryn who commented is actually one of our dear friends (she has a RUclips channel Adventures of A plus K). Can’t believe you had the time to watch! Hopefully we will see y’all soon! ❤️
@@SchoandJo awww thanks! I didn't watch every minute but watched quite a bit.. really enjoyed it a lot! Kathryn sounds cool and that's funny that it's not who I thought it was lol 😊❤️
I'm excited when you do the great loop. That was a good Q & A thing that you two did. Liked the end bloopers. I'm back and will be catching up from here.
Love following you guys! Wife and I plan to do this - later in life. So awesome that you guys get to do it now! Your channel and "what yacht to do" are amazing! Thanks!
hope the winter goes like you plan and in the spring you get to start the loop with full speed ahead. And no broken wrist this time. Q and A was great for those planning to venture out.
We are down for Greece in any boat! Let’s gooooo! 🙌🏼😜 Oh my gosh dying at the blooper where Elliot calls himself Jenn 😂😂😂 Now I’m editing this AGAIN to tell y’all I loved my shoutout 😂❤️
I’m finally all caught up. I’m kinda new to watching a RUclips series like this. I’m enjoying your journey and I’ll keep following. I’ve very intrigued. You guys have come a long ways with your knowledge and experience in such a short time. Also, I ordered a Smith Island Cake yesterday for Valentines. It won’t be here in Dallas Texas until Wednesday but that’s ok. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be fantastic. Can’t wait for you guys to pick back up again. Hopefully you’ll include be on your next Q&A because I’m curious where you came up with Scho and JO? Let me know please.
Thanks so much for watching Derek! Hopefully your Smith Island cake was delicious! Scho comes from the first part of my (Elliot) last name and Jo from Jen's last name! It is from when we thought we might start a coffee cart but now its here!
@@SchoandJo Truly is, next time your on the Indian River near Stuart/Ft. Pierce Pam and I will meet you for dinner on us. I'll email you and you'll have our information.
The Weboost that you use; is it for boats or RVs? Can you give us a link to the equipment you have? I am getting ready to do the Loop and I need something like this. Thanks!
Awesome comments. You earned your stripes without a captain. I hired a Captain that made the first 3 weeks of my return journey from Tampa to Va absolute hell until I threw him off without paying him. So true about the people out there open boats and in marinas. It’s a throw back feel to an earlier time in America. I’ve heard from at least 4 people with extensive experience 3 captains that the worst weather and sea state they experienced was on Lake Michigan. I hope to meet you guys a when you start North again.
Oh thats super interesting! I guess there's no "one solution", crazy that the captain didn't work out! In my head I'm seeing some Captain Ron situation 😂 We will definitely be searching solid weather windows when cruising the lakes...
Thanks Holger! We typically do a mix of both. We will prolong laundry by doing our delicates by hand once or twice and then do a large load when we stop into a marina. Normally we are about 2 weeks in between laundry but that can easily become one week or three depending on when and were we are. Cheers!
Thank you for the informative video but mostly... the bloopers! As a future Looper, are you planning to go outside (ocean) at New Jersey or do the NJ ICW? I hear its very shallow.
Hehe glad you like the bloopers! I’m not completely sure yet re: NJ ICW. We draw 3.5 so most shallow sections we can get through. We’ve heard horror stories about the boaters there and the traffic so I think we will play it by ear. If we have time we may stay inside but if we need to make some miles and the weather looks good we’ll bump it outside!
I found your reply to the question about disagreements on the boat to be very "perfectly right on"..! Let me explain. My 1st wife and I were married 37 years. We were both U.S.Coast Guard retired, and very boat savvy.! I lost her to cancer 4 years ago.. BUT.. I married my High School Sweetheart, from 40 years ago, just two years ago now..! However.. she is NOT boat oriented, at ALL..!! So I sometimes need help, and expect it to be there, but it's NOT.. And it's not her fault.! She just doesn't know what I know, and what my 1st wife knew, from the history we had together.. And I get that, but I still forget it, too.. We have a 32 foot Sedan Fly Bridge Cruiser. It has twin 360 Chrysler Inboard Engines, and it can be a bear when the wind blows...! Oh, I forgot to mention.. I am also a Double Amputee..! And YES.. WE ARE GOING TO DO THE GREAT LOOP, very soon.. Fair Winds and Following Seas....
Wow... what a story Richard! Seems like you have lived quite a life - getting through some of the toughest challenges but stilling moving forward. I bet you are going to have a fantastic time doing the Great Loop and your new Admiral will get the hang of it 😁 Maybe we will see you out there! Best of luck!
I was wondering the same thing! Love seeing your relationship and kindness toward each other. It’s obvious that you’re good friends and enjoy being together - and, celebrating each other’s strengths
You definitely can, and there already is a bit (underneath the floorboards). There's always more possible! I think most of our noise comes from the v-berth AC ducts, joints in the floor, and in the aft-cabin AC ducts.
When are you two heading back north on the Loop,my wife and I are going to be getting on a yacht in the anchorage you are in toward the end of next month. Vrbo Maybe see and have a cocktail with you two 🙂
@@SchoandJo good evening , We talked with Captain Kenny and Captain Monica tonight about our up coming trip and I mentioned that you were in an anchorage in Islamador. They said that their were several anchorages in the area and haven't met you two yet. They said they hope to meet up with yah some time and talk about navigating up and down the east coast and around the Keys. Their boat name is "License to Chill"
@@pbroad87 Oh super cool! We will keep an eye out for their boat! We were in the Barley Basin, just outside Lorelies on the Gulf Side for a while. Now we are on the Atlantic side near Marathon for a little while. Cheers
I'm sure I am probably stating something you already know, but you have a golden opportunity to exploit a niche on RUclips that no one else has really done. There are dozens of really good sailing channels but there are very few Great Loop channels and the ones there are, are in my opinion, poorly produced or not very creative and interesting. I would suggest that you perhaps rethink trying to do the loop in one year and instead aim for two. One year is pretty fast and there is certainly enough content for two years.

Nope not this year, too much Loopin. It’s roughly the same dates as the Rendezvous which we will be attending!
How do the dolphins react to Ollie? Have you tried crate training?
I'm not sure how much they notice Ollie haha!
Can you add soundproofing for the motor

Chew ginger or drink ginger beer for sea sickness

How is "I learned to watch my footing" not one of the lessons learned??? 😉
LOL should have definitely put that one in, although we call it "3 points of contact" 😁😁😁
Anyone out there want to join me on my boat?
Good luck Timothy 😁
