Really enjoyed this video - and just love the SoundToys suite. I cannot resist putting at least one SoundToys plug-ins on most channels 🙂 'The vocals sound cool - and kinda maybe cooler than what's actually going to come out'. This comment at 11.25 stood out for me - resist the temptation to always be going back to a mix and tweak interminably 🐒
Thanks! We're happy to hear you find them helpful.
Appreciate this walkthrough. For us soundtoys fans, it's good to get some fresh perspective on tools we've been using for a while!
I love using Little Microshift on vox and instruments; Setting 1 and roughly 5 to 15 percent wet.. gives everything a nice subtle width increase.
This is a fantastic tip! Thank you STs for pimping my DAW world! I must say I'm surprised you don't have a link in the discription to your site and to your new amazing VERB! SELL SELL SELL!!! I want you to be successful so you continue to innovate with cool new products. PEACE!
Some really great ideas.
For the sake of younger music creators, I think an important message to include in videos like this his that these decisions are not linear or absolute. And very subjective. Sometimes removing effects in parts of a song can increase the value when it is present. Or using different components of the chain periodically. For example, pitch and distortion can become fatiguing for an entire song. Maybe drop those components in just on sections or phrases.
But I know this is a product tutorial and not a production tutorial.
I personally found the mono reverb hard panned on a primary centered item (the voice) to be distracting. And I also think that sometimes a bone dry vocal dead center can be absolutely mesmerizing.
Like I said, It’s all subjective.
PS: The only reason I took the liberty of offering a comment was that Soundtoys sent this link to my email.

Thanks for sharing! That's why we like to say "mix to taste" :)
this video is so brilliantly done and isn't filled with fluff. Thanks, guys!
Thank you!
very cool! I'll try using this technique in part of my final exam mix
Thanks so much for the free presets!
HI PARKER! Sounds sick!
Hey dude!!!! thank u :)
Sometimes I forget about the effects rack and I really love it. I never do a mix without Sound Toys!
Because I very rarely tune the vocals unless absolutely necessary. If I need to just in places that need it. Plus would never go to that Extreme on Vocal effects. Old school I guess!!
You are a star Parker ❤❤
very very very nice
Metal Headzzz RULE!!!!
The song lyrics tho 😂
🤷
