Having it all in a rack is way more fun, Primaltap is very creative and fun and the new tweak menus are a great improvement.

this was well worth the wait! thanks for not rushing it, works smoothly here in Cubase 8 PRO and Wavelab 8 on a windows 7 machine, I absolutely love radiator and being able to save presets in the rack.

Yeah... I'm gonna be pulling the trigger on this shortly. I've used the V4 before but haven't had access to them for a while. Stoked at the addition of Devil-Loc, Radiator, and the full versions of some of the "Little" plugins. On a side note, super funny that your one word to sum it all up wasn't "powerful". Love it.
Today i bought the Effect Rack..And NOW its the first time i feel complete in my 80.000 euro Studio!! ;-)

Love Soundtoys! It would be very handy to be able to distribute fx chains in the effect rack to certain frequency ranges for multiband processing! Maybe in a future update? Also a keyfinder, tuner and macros for multiple edits on the fly etc... And mid side! That would be game changing to be able to do mid side processing, multiband processing with any of these plugins from the Effect Rack!! For multiband, you could introduce multiple + buttons to add a new band, then slide between frequencies for each band and drop any plug in on any band. For mid/side, you could have another section with two sliders defining the mid from left and right and side and be able to drop any chain into mid, left, right, sides etc... Also... Dropping 3rd party plugins into the chains would make this the go-to effect rack for everything? lol That might be asking too much but a foo can dream.

what about crystallizer gate function triggered by an external sound? Lots of possibilities to explore!
Just finally digging into the effects rack and loving it, but where is little alterboy? This is a go-to for me (and many others) in our vocal chain and it'd be great to have it in there.

Just recently purchased the bundle and only regret waiting so long. Haven’t really used the rack much yet though (ableton instrument rack serves mostly the same purpose for me).
I think I’ve been spoilt by Reason rack modules, with all the inter-connectivity and routing options; Would be so cool if eventually we could get some inter-device modulation (FF Rhythm designer - to modulate parameters in other soundtoys devices for example) .. That’s just wishful thinking though, it’s perfectly great as it is - best process/effect plugins in my arsenal.
Can I add plug ins from Brainworx and Lindell into this virtual mixer or Soundtoys plug ins only?
Hi. Sorry for the dumb questions, butt being new to ST5 and ST in general. If there will be a new plugin from ST some day, will this be included as an update for vs5? Maybe with an introduction price for customers? And when a possible version 6 quill cone some day, how much is usually charged as an update price? Thanks guys. Cheers

Question... why can't we use the little versions of the plugins in the rack? I find I prefer to the tone of Little Radiator and reach for it before its big brother most of the time, so that puts me off using the rack a lot
+Henry Hill We're working on it. The simple answer, they don't fit. They are much smaller than the form factor of the rack, but we are thinking on ways to get them in without having to completely redesign them or have nasty blank areas.
+soundtoys Does Little Radiator actually HAVE a different tone that it's big brother though?
***** It does, it's a based on a whole different piece of hardware, the Altec 1566A as opposed to the Altec 1567A. Look it up on the website, or just listen for yourself.
+soundtoys Might consider simple black rack ears, as half-rack or 3/4 rack units would have.
If buying this..can i still load just one of the plugins (without the rack) into one of my channels? I dont have to load the rack everytime i want to use one of the plugins!?

Hi, I am brandnew to Soundtoys. Didn't even know about their existence before I saw Simon Stockhausen experiment with them.
And now I've got them.
The initial circus to get them to my computer was complex - I gess accessing a nuclear plant is easier, but the install and authorisation process itself was really easy.
At this moment I only tried some presets from a few of the plugins, and I can already say that Soundtoys simply sounds...wow, sigh.
Only this small remark: perhaps this is not default - I use Cubase 8 - but I would love it is the rack were on top and not somewhere in the list of toys.
But that's a detail.
I now find it sad I didn't knew you before because I spent a lot of money on other brand's effects I won't be using anymore.

Looks cool but I really can't figure out how this is any different than Live's rack.

Plus this is a convenience rack for working with the SoundToys plugin suite, whereas Live does't come with any of the SoundToy's plugins.
So, yeah, the concept (chaining and combining effects as a set) can be the same, the product is different. Same as an Audi is not a Toyota, though both are cars...
Yeah? So for Live owners there's zero value.

Whether Live can replicate the rack part or not, those plugins are still a huge force to be reckoned with in Live.
5:00 Buttry 4 can do that and much more, 500$ , i dont know , to me it sounds like partial fruity loops , anyone Gros beat and others , off course im way beyond that , how about izotope Stuteer for time changing effects , im sure the others come built in , its cool looking , but 500$ daim , i guess Fl studio costs 100$ or more ,you get all of that . Correct me if im wrong

I wish all VSTs would have simple resizeable windows. Such a small thing is actually a big deal for me as I like to use screen space the way I like. Love Soundtoys though. I use ST5 every time.

I really like Soundtoys stuff and use it a lot but the amount of "cool, super-cool, soooooo powerful, amazing…" in this video is really annoying and sounds like brainwashing for dumb kids. What about a more neutral and technical approach in presentations? That said I'll probably get it now that it is on sale :-) at an amaaaazing price. A supercoooool offer LOL
Sorry, but my enthusiasm is real. Annoying? I'm sure to some, but hopefully not to all. I try to show things that get people thinking and creating. And yes, I'm a spaz, and fall back on a ten year olds vocabulary when I get excited. I hope that I help kids be less dumb with a few interesting tips. Of course, I never once said Buy It. I just tried to show why you might want too. I push the "wink" powerful creative elements, because I live in these plug-ins and love them all like my binary babies. That said, thanks for buying and hope you're having fun.

Customer service with this company is an absolute joke. If you have any issues they'll send a generic email response and when their one-size-fits-all solution doesn't work you're SOL. They only care about getting your money. Buyer beware.

Since we’ve had access to computer music around 1990 the quality of songwriting has enormously declined. Doing a 1990 before versus after list…I’ve not got a life!…shows how plastic and uncreative modern music has become. People can’t write songs these days in the quality and quantity of pre-1990. Example. Little Mix v Abba. Ed Sheeran v Jimmy Hendrix. One Direction v Queen. Coldplay v The Beatles. Drake v Prince. Kanye West (racist fool) v Michael Jackson. The list is huge and rarely do the modern artists get close to the quality and quantity of the older music. I’ve left out Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, ELO, 10cc, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Kate Bush, Punk Floyd, Simon and Garfunkel, The Clash, Bob Marley, MOTOWN from pre-1990 and Nine Inch Nails, QOTSA, Pixies, Primus, Fugazi from post-1990. Most of the new artists were actually about before 1990. Madonna included. Tori Amos too.
