What a gem, just love her! May she rest in peace.
She's 91!!!!!!! she looks like late 70s She's still so aware and energetic
Painting should be fast, with energy. I love that window into process. A bit of the why is always great to hear from an artist.
She doesn't even look or act like she is 90! she is simply amazing

Love her artwork, she’s still sharp as a tack, and love her joie de vivre!
Her book 'Life with Picasso' impressed me so much. Fascinating woman, so talented and strong.
What an interesting life. I didn't know she was a painter. How brave of her to risk comparisons, and be her own person.
I am very impressed with Francoise Gilot.
She is someone I would LOVE to meet and talk to...
She is simply fantastic!
I discovered her from her book"life with picasso" and I was so impressed by her personality and life and now I'm here and I'm in love with her paintings ♥️♥️
Beauty is ageless and she's got it. And intellect to boot. A very attractive person.
Love Francoise Gilot! Wish the interview had been more in depth, would like to have spent more time with her !
91 and still passionate about art
Look how she presents herself in this interview: Violet frock; black hair, short; red lips. Image. Image Image.
Her reasoning for not painting studies is spot on! 👍🏻👏🏻
Absolutely fascinating intelligent woman, I read her book when I was in Picasso birth town, Malaga (by accident!) as a stranded traveller . Found the Picasso museum and bought the book. Read it in one sitting. She’s amazing and I would have loved to have met her.
Françoise Gilot, muse to Picasso, on her own career as an artist.
She is a credit to her profession. She is an elegant lady who is inspirational to all female artists. This gives an honest insight into her lifestyle, and her work preparations.
Lucky enough to own a painting she made in 1968

I found her comment that painting should be fast interesting. Some painters paint slowly and deliberately and get a bold, decisive, energetic result. I think it matters how someone is thinking their ideas through while painting, their personality and way of being. Another thing she mentioned is she doesn’t do studies. But I think it matters how those studies are. If you make a little painting for a study then yes it can be distracting as you try to imitate it on a larger scale. But if your studies are loose and simple just enough to discover color and some shape then you may still have discovery in the final painting. They should guide, not dictate. Fascinating work and I love hearing her thoughts!
Franoise is so remarkable. Such a huge fan of her work, and so vibrant in spirit.
She is the coolest.

Francoise bonjour!
So glad I stumbled on these videos of your work. Your drawings have something of Raoul Dufy in them to my eye (whom I admire very much) as well as Henri. Beautiful work, paint on mon ami.
I am in a bit of a slump at the moment, your videos are a much needed breath of fresh air for me.
Merci beaucoup,

nice....
She is so cool :)
Outstanding woman. Hell she did survive the minotaure!
I recently perused several art books showing paintings of Francoise Gilot. I was overwhelmed. They are imaginative with very intense colors and original designs .She is a great artist. The focus needs to go to her away from Picasso.
❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I dont understand why not so much talk about her, Shes a great artist. For some reason she reminds me of Frida K.
Can anyone tell me the name of the 4th artist she said? I can't quite understand. Amazing story, thank you for making this and posting.
Ferdinand Leger I suspect..... cheers.

If Picasso were a famous composer, she would surely be a musician today...
I understand exactly what you mean
👏👏👏👏👏
Mooi.

wow she is full of beans and doing great stuff
🤍🤍🤍💛💛🧡✨❤️✨🧡💛💛🤍🤍🤍
If you make a study, you've made the painting! I hear that :) And of course, I see that :) If I make a "study" it's just very primitive. Barely a
(From Uruguay)
Francoise Gilot was a talented artist. Better still she mingled with Picasso. However artists produce dead art and kicking exciting art. Picasso was very much an art guru or shaman he would play with compositions no end. Even though some do look crap but alive😂
Picasso was the greatest
NOPE! ya missed the ground breaker--------- V KANDINSKY....V K invented (( modern )) abstract art------whole "nother cuppa.............art
Her book 'Life with Picasso' impressed me so much. Fascinating woman, so talented and strong.
