Quick note on Eric LeGrand, the former Rutgers football player who owns the coffee shop:
He did not break his leg, he was paralyzed from the neck down performing a tackle in October 2010. He's since devoted himself to spinal cord awareness and research, and his business ventures are part of his fundraising efforts for this.
G may recognize him as the third recipient of WWE's Warrior Award in the 2017 Hall of Fame class during Wrestlemania weekend.

LeGrand is still a very big part of the Rutgers culture, as an RU alum. He was paralyzed on live TV, when they played a game at the meadowlands (Jets/Giants stadium) in prime time. The school has done anything except forgetting about him

Holy meatballs Batman, my package arrived! I sent it September 2023 so I lost all hope already. Was kinda fishing for a compliment from Beej regarding the various "handle with care" signage stickers I put on the box, but oh well. It's a win that it arrived safely.
Also yes, my handwriting is not the easiest to decypher at times. I also was way too excited to send you stuff while I wrote it 😅

I was watching a Korean drama show, and one of the guys had a business meeting with someone from the US. When they spoke English, it came out as a thick Ontario accent so I was stunned. Turns out he grew up in Ontario for 12 years then moved to Korea. I did not expect a K-pop looking guy to sound like a MacKenzie brother.
Cutty Sark and Greenwich Observatory are honestly some of the coolest things I've seen in England. They have the original models of the clocks that cracked the longitude problem, which if you like old clocks like me is incredible.

7:30 - I KNOW ABOUT THE EMPRESS!!! Granted, it was from a letter that was read on Letters Live. It was less about the famous tearoom and more about sausage from other parts of Canada encountering the local wildlife (Seagulls I believe) inside one of the rooms that resulted in the long time ban of the letter writer from the premises. My understanding is that after the letter was written, The Empress's management did rescind the ban.
I don't think I could ever afford to stay there, but I would love to have tea there.

It's also the same for US stuff as well. I get giddy when I hear my state mentioned, and it's not bad news. (Or it's even in the news.) It's just local pride why everyone gets giddy when they hear their home mentioned.

Interesting that you got my two postcards from Ireland/UK, but not the one from Jordan that I had to send from home because I ran out of time. I look forward to seeing it next time. I sent all of them in May/June 2023 by the way. I'll be back there again in a year for a wedding, so expect more cards in 2027 I guess?

The name of the town "Celle" is pronounced the same way as the German word for cell (Zelle) - something like "TSELL-eh".
You can pretty much flip a coin to figure out whether a standalone "c" in a German word is pronounced like "k" or like German "z" ("ts").
Presuming the Gaelic was the greeting Dia Duit, the best phonics I can offer is Dee-ya Dit (closest to English phonics anyways)

Beej is right, Wizard Barristers is easily one of the worst anime I had the displeasure of watching, but you wouldn't know it from watching just the first few episodes.
