I totally fell you, I live in Brazil so christmas day and new year r hot days. And guess what I'm planning to do to celebrate 2025? Yep! A Sangria!!! Thanks for the vermouth tip, I'm going to try that.
Greetings from Argentina (Also in summer obviously) It was very common to drink sangria when I was a college student, since it was quite cheap to make during meetings. For sweetness we used to simply use sugar. And speaking of the size of the jug and the possibility of scaling it upwards, I must confess that we once prepared it in a broken washing machine. As for the quality of the wine we used...well, I can only say that it amazes me that I'm still alive hahaha. Greetings and an excellent 2025 to you!!
I like to use fresh oranges and orange juice from the oranges on my tree in Dec/Jan (Southern California) instead of lemonade. Haven't tried with vermouth, will do that next glass :) Usually add Coke Zero for sparkly feel.
My favourite is usually 50/50 wine and vermouth, apple bandy (calvados), curaçao, sparkling water (the liqueurs add enough sweetness, so it doesn't need soda) and slices of apple and orange with a twist of lemon.
Its always a good time for a good Sangria! 🍹I sometimes add a touch of Grand Marnier. Very nice for that little 'something-something.'

The perfect drink for good old grey New Year's Eve in Germany 🏖 😄 Happy New Year, Cara!

Boycott Fever Tree: they supported the Republican National Congress and Trump in the US; and Nigel Farage in the UK.
What? Man we don’t need that here. Everyone welcome. I’m not a Trumper but know many people who are and they’re very nice peeps. Unity.
