Hi Gerry, I was using my iphone and experimenting with a fisheye lens with the phone chest mounted with an accessory I found online. To be honest I was purely seeing what I thought with a view to making some recordings in the future so it was a real shock to actually find something whilst I was doing this.

Adam look at my shadow from 1min 30secs having been detecting since the age of 8 and being 39 now I know how to fill holes I have never left a hole open in my life.
I've just got the trauma of having it straightend... I was going to do it myself but as soon as I realised it was Henry VIII I went off the idea.... always has been something about his coinage that I really like.
As they say Stuart when in doubt dig it out :) there was definitely a spittty iron tone in there as well unfortunately because I'm wearing backphones it's not really picked up by my cameras microphone. I'm off to some fields nearby to where I found this coin tomorrow so I live in hope of another.

I nearly always run my gmp just flicked out of auto do as little discrim as possible. My other settings are standard silencer I, iron volume 10 o'clock, sensitivity 2 o'clock with 11" coil but varies depending on the site! Not saying my settings are right but they work for me
Hi Marek I find it best to not use Auto at all... use the machine just flicked out of auto as this gets you the best recovery speed. My basic setup is :- Iron Threshold - Just out of auto Ground - 11 oclock Iron Volume - 11 oclock Sens - 2 oclock (with 11" coil), as high as bearable with the 9" coil silencer - 1 Personally I prefer the 11" coil on this machine to the 9"
Awesome find, can't help but feel sorry for someone a few hundred years ago losing a week or months pay or not bothered about a noble man/woman losing it while riding across country hope it was the later.

I love to metal detect! And the feeling is just like christmas, Birthday and a orgasm at the same time! Also recording your trips is a nice idea! it wil always give a smile on your face when you get older!
maninbootsuk Hogg for a while they were the choice of local farmers around here! I've had these for a number of years now but someone told me that recently the quality is not as good.... possibly now manufactured elsewhere to reduce cost. I love them very comfy and warm in the winter.
Yeh i'v heard they are (were) very comfy boots, never managed to find a pair though,.. now all the good brands are made in China, much to their detriment.
Hi Adam if you look carefully you will see from my shadow and the camera rocking that I am filling in my holes with my feet! this was my first ever video so the camera angle was not set correctly! however once you look at the video closely you will see you jumped to the incorrect conclusion. I will await your apology :) good luck with your detecting mate.
You can clearly see he's filling the holes in, using his feet like the rest of us do. Look at the video again, when he stands up he's not walking but there is lots of movement because he's filling the holes in you fool

I've not straightend it yet but its a Henry VIII Crown of the double-rose. I've not straightend it because they carry a good £ so it scared me off lol
