always a sad time when they come to the end of their careers and useful lives. after i retired my 1994 international school bus became a spare. It was used to being driven everyday. I filled in a few times after retirement, and of course wanted my dear old 94 back. Fired right up like usual, but I could feel how stiff it was from sitting. I threw it into reverse and it groaned like an airplane. Just like people they need to move everyday.
@@themarylandman1475 That fs-65 looks like it has hydraulic brakes instead of air brakes so there is a lever instead of a parking brake knob and the high idle is probably there just to warm the engine in cold weather
Famous_ YT GTA it’s under the school districts contracts that school buses are to be retired stern 10 years of service. The used buses we are finding for sale right now are 2003 to 2009 units. All buses are bought from the corporate company as for sale as is
In Texas I think it's different there's this one bus that's in the district that's still in service in I think its flat nose but it's from the mid 1980s I think and there is another one but closer to the the early 80s almost late 70s but not real sure
021053, 57 or 59? I had bought 3 of them. But First Student received them used years ago used to cover at a few locations near me to replace older buses. They had super low miles and were in great shape, other than rusting out!

The flat nose bus is 100% identical to the one I rode my first grade year of school. Now I'm graduated and that bus retired a long time ago.
