Honestly no one has been able to dupe the tarte maracuja lips correctly. I have them in almost every color and I'm obsessed. I tried the elf, nyx and flower beauty ones and they don't live up

i cannot stand them. the store display was a warning cuz they were extremely melty gooey mess there and turn out they are also a melty gooey mess that i cannot put in my small purse without feeling it's going to get everything sticky.
Re:Tower 28 gloss, I love the thick, tenacious formula and find them genuinely hydrating. That being said, I owned 3 of them (chill and xoxo twice, so can’t speak for the milky shades) at different points in time over the last few years and these guys go off FAST. chill, the clear one, even turned blue tinted a couple of months after getting it.
Just wanted to share my experience because I agree with the rating and your comment about tower28 products being reasonably priced, but as someone who owns a decent amount of lip products to pick from, these were not worth the price at all when considering cost per wear.

The Beauty of Joseon sunscreen in my next buy, but I'm currently loving the Heimish Artless Glow sunscreen and primer. No white cast and excellent under makeup.
I just got mine, it seems to be great under makeup not as hydrating as some other korean sunscreens Ive tried but I have no complaints

I think it’s such a vibe when in older movies, we sometimes have that female character who’s badass or idgaf vibes, and she always reapplies her lipstick or gloss. It’s super cool and those women were too 💋🌷

That _Cover Girl Lipstain_ isn't really new. It may be new to "the internet", but they had something VERY, VERY MUCH like that back in the 90s (I think). It was probably before your time, Kelly 😉But even the packaging looks pretty much the same, only back in the day, it was shorter and fatter (kinda like me!) 😂 I loved it back then. I'll probably love it again. And yes, from what I can remember, it dried-out pretty quickly back then as well. The more things change, the more they stay the same... 🤔

As someone who was probably born when the product you’re talking about came out… it’s interesting hearing how cyclical trends are. Of course as a mid 20s lady with a marketing degree, trend cycles are something I knew of since my teen years but it sounds like they didn’t even improve any of the formulation which I assume there must be some kind of formulation discoveries over the years in the realms of makeup. Maybe there are some improvements but some things stay the same.
I am absolutely obsessed with the second shade of the nyx bronzer. It's perfect. I use it for blush and bronzer too ❤❤❤

The Patrick Ta blush is definitely my favorite….you don’t even need a lot of it, like one or two dips into it is enough and it’s so beautiful. I have the shade She’s Vibrant and she is definitely vibrant.

Try the quickie concealer as an all over product in the summer months. It gives my oily skin a matte finish for days when I just want to spot conceal, mascara, brows and GO!
I absolutely love the cover girl essence. I got it in 2 shades darker than my skin tone and use it kinda like you would bronzing drops without mixing with anything. It’s the best natural looking subtle tan since the product is such light coverage. Best to come out in 2024 in my opinion so far ❤❤

Completely agree with the CG bubbly skin tint thing. I don’t like having to rub out the ball things, it clings to my dry patches, only looks great on perfect skin days, meh, definitely not worth the price to me. But I have dry skin too so…
The issues I personally have with the Covergirl Simply Ageless Skin Perfector is that it never settles? Like it just sits on top of my skin and if I apply other products on top it MOVES. Also, it accentuates every pore on my face like crazy. Thankfully I got it on sale for $17 on Amazon because I would have returned it immediately lol I’ll stick to my Purito BB cream haha
Love the NYX bronzer as well. I've yet to find a bronzer that matches my skin tone as best as this. I do also wear it as a blush on my no makeup makeup days. Thank you for the recommendation!

Beauty of Joseon sunscreen is indeed amazing!!!!! I have very sensitive eyes to both mineral and chemical sunscreens; i tried 35ish different sunscreens and nothing compares to K Beauty. To be fair, the other 3 Korean sunscreens are also very, very good, almost exactly the same except for slight differences.
i SWEAR by the tower28 clear gloss (chill) i used it before it went viral and honestly didn’t even know it was going viral rn and i tell all of my friends to buy it. it is so shiny and hydrating, i always say that it genuinely feels like a layer of water on your lips

The Covergirl Essence is the FIRST liquid foundation product I’ve been able to confidently use in ages. I’ve been a powder foundation person since my holy grail Clinique foundation was discontinued years ago. This actually looks natural and works really well with Glow Recipe Strawberry BHA Pore-Smooth Blur Drops. This combination has been so successful for me personally that I’m feeling as though a whole new world has opened up. One tip though - less is more with both products!

For anyone like me who was looking for a more moisturising sunscreen BOJ was good but Round Lab Birch is amazing and doesn't sting the eyes when swimming etc.
A brown mascara that's more milk chocolate is the Lash with out Limits by Essence. I've really enjoyed this mascara and reminds me of a tubing mascara going on (does not remove like one though).

I haven't seen that CG lip stain marker recently, but they did that same product in 2008ish. I enjoyed it when it was first launched and might have to pick it up now.
Thats crazy I also just got a palladio lip stain marker to use as a lipliner! I got pinky as I am pretty fair. Also you really gotta get into korean skincare and makeup its a game-changer Ive been using Korean or Japanese brands since like 2012? Would love to hear your thoughts on brands like Romand, Etude House, Peripera, ect.

the stain marker isn't a new thing, kiko has one for years now i think it's been on the market 10 yrs ago, sadly it's not cruelty free so u can't try it but i don't think you would miss much tbh. i don't rly like lip stains so anyone who is should try it and report back!
The BoJ sunscreen is one of the more elegant SPF formulas I've ever used and really made putting on SPF enjoyable for me each day!
Alright Kelly, you've talked me into the NYX bronzer! LOL My skin naturally turns a rosier shade when I'm in the sun (which I don't see often being a religious SPF wearer) so, this sounds perfect for my fair, cool-leaning neutral skin tone.

Love the nyx bronzer on my 55yo tan skin BUT theres hardly any product in the bulky compact. How do i know? It was delivered shattered and the pan is extremely shallow.

For acne prone skin!!! The beauty of J suncreen might clog pores - I wore it for three months and had little bumps everywhere that went away only after I stopped using it. I miss it so much though and im so jealous of the people it works for

I couldnt even count how many BOJ spf tubes ive gone through! Its absolutely unlike anything I've tried. Ive stopped looking for spf, its only BOJ for me.
I wanted to love the Danessa Myricks Colorfix, but the formula was so disappointing to me. 😩 I bought the shade Milky Way specifically for the waterproof, budge proof claim, only to find that it completely breaks up and disappears in water. Such a bummer! It's definitely not waterproof, which is what I need. 👎🏻

Lip-liners help to keep your lipstick on your _lips_ not on your face 😄
They can help to define the lip shape and help your lipstick last longer :)

They do exsctly ehat theyre callled. They line your lips to give them shape.
I have 2 lipliners, a clear and a nude one. The nude one is for shaping my lips and also a pretty good long lasting lip color in its own right. The clear one is when I wear darker colors or use eyeshadow pencils as lipsticks, it stops the bleeding of the pigment from inside my lips and makes the product last longer.
