Happy new year everybody. Hope you're having a good one! Kicking 2023 off (albeit 9 days late) with my favourite tiny house tour yet. Hope you all enjoy it! :)
Happy New Year to you and yours, George. Gorgeous place! And I pronounce yogurt same as you do, but we like to say "yaw - gert" at our house, just for fun. Speaking of my house, I'd give anything to have a U.S. George Dunnett's help restoring our place, it is in a tiny town in northeastern Vermont called McIndoe Falls. We were not planning on relocating to this region of the state when my husband took a job in western Vermont, but here we are... in a house built in 1850s with outdated everything, drafty, and smelly everywhere. This was not in the plans at our age... late 50s. Haha Regardless, I've fallen in love with the area since moving here last January, but there is so much work that it needs done both inside and out AND subterranean. * sigh *
Just a quick "thanx" for your enjoyable and comprehensive coverages of other tiny homes! I do so appreciate your photography skills, and your narratives are spot on. I'm always pleased to see when you post something...yogurt is pronounced correctly here! LOL
These scammers are really common now-enjoyed the video looks amazing, and having lived on a boat for 4 years (I'm now on dry land) I appreciate the clever tiny house living ideas xx
Thank you, George! I get those messages a lot (you have won a prize) in my notifications. I just delete them. Oh heck, no negativity taken, your just an informative kind of guy. I thank you for that. I always enjoyed your videos and Happy New Year to you as well.
Such a beautiful tiny home and way to conserve a piece of history. The views are just gorgeous. To my understanding, the table cloth didn’t originate in Italy and is more of a French and British thing that made its way into Italian restaurants (and other restaurants as well). Waiting to hear back from a relative over in Foggia, Italy just because I’m curious now! Another great tiny home vid! Thanks for sharing! 🤠
You did it again George!!! Another great video!!! Your commentary is so great ~ I love hearing you speak, your accent is great, and your humor gets me every time!! And thank you for the heads up about those dastardly scammers ~ they wrote to me, but as soon as they asked for something, I knew it wasn't you ~ my intuition kicked in. Have a wonderful day ~ I love you! p.s. How's kitty and your new renovation? Be well and happy!
Happy New Year George! You've found an absolutely unique place to show in this vídeo. Really beautiful and full of history. It seems very cozy and warm. Thanks for sharing!
That’s a super cute cottage in a gorgeous place. What a brilliant idea. Thanks for the heads up on scammers. I hope you all have a happy new years and look forward to more episodes.
Thank you George for the video, acknowledging the owner and your friend. Thanks for the warning - there's a lot of that sort of thing around right now, some are worse. All the best for New Year
I thought I recognized your voice! Used to play in Cod4 sniper lobbies with you lol. Brought me back to the good old days. Glad to see you’re doing well. Cheers
I always report those comments as spam. It's an absolute disgrace that YT refuses to do something about these people. They are happy to, via machine learning, penalize creators for cursing in the first thirty seconds of their videos, but they can't be bothered to cull out, via machine learning, these accounts.
Ohh Thank you for the vital bit of information, I have noticed that very thing. I appreciate you letting me know how to tell if it's autheically you! I really enjoy your Tiny House Series.. I have told several of my friends about your channel. Looking forward to the next video.. Ohh yes, you pronounce Yogurt the same way as I do. Blessings to you Friend 😁
I thought I should just address it to make everyone aware. Hopefully going forward, people will notice and report them as spam. Aw thank you! Appreciate it! :)
I like the conceptual separation of activities on the walls in the extension. Tiny house builds seem to end up with everything layered with bits of one space (dining, relaxation, hygiene) over and undertween another, which can be chaotic. This has small spaces, but clearly dedicated and isolated ones. That said - I'd have maybe furnished the extension differently, with a coffee table and rug in the center. The emptiness looks like it would suck away the cozy cabin vibe. Could be a different sense in person though!
That's a good point. Never really thought about it. And yeah I think I would add a little rug and coffee table as well, but I think it looks good either way!
George brill narrative and fantastic build by Simona and her husband. I am sure this is a good example of how to rejuvenate run down regional and urban areas - on top of this the new forms of communication & green practices should help more toward the "good life" :-).
That was a stunning place, I love the window and yes being a Scot I say it the same way, all my kids are born and raised here in Ireland so they also say it the same, and every time they get WHAT its Yoogurt lol, Great video oh and Happy new year xxx hugs Dede xxx
Thank you George for the visit to the Italian Alps. Absolutely gorgeous tiny house. The view out that window was stunning. The scammers love your site, for some reason. I go through and report every one. Icky people. How is Junior? She was a no show today. Happy New Year to you too.
It really is a lovely place! Ah, that's very good of you to help out with the reporting of spam. She's all good! I tried to get her in at the end but she was sleeping so didn't want to disturb her.
Thank you so much George. Enjoyed the tiny house tour. Rebuild was amazing but the surroundings landscape is breathtaking. Always look forward to each and every video. Wishing you a very Happy New Year from Texas. So sorry you are being scammed it is happening to every content creator in USA exactly how you described.
Thanks Donna! It really is a wonderful place. Happy new year to yourself as well. And yes, very annoying! Hopefully RUclips will find a way to get rid of it completely.
Hi Patchy ... I don't think that there is a sink to do dishes in the bathroom. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think there is a hand basin, toilet, and perhaps a (forward facing) bidet beside the toilet . (?) Nice use of space. This certainly is a unique upgrade for a historic family building, especially for a holiday rental. I particularly love the cosy look of the bedroom and it's woven (wicker/branch ?) ceiling, and that the impressive view is fully visible/enjoyable from the glass front wall and small attached deck. Good on them.
Hi, George, and Happy New Year! You pronounce 'yogurt' just fine, and thank you for addressing the scamming issue up front. It is a negative thing on social media anymore for anything that is trending/popular. Good that you have the official check mark. Cheers and have a wonderful year ahead ~ Blessings!😇
Happy New Year George! What a beautiful location for an interesting and unique tiny house. This is a great idea for a series…how did I miss the others? Got to catch up
Thank you, Patchy, for the heads up on “fake-you” websites, posts, etc. I hope I respond to the right person, but think I recognize your style, including posts! … I luv your vids and ALWAYS look forward to your next installment! ❤🎉🐶
George, I have gotten that scam on several other sites so it is not just happening to you. Thankfully people realize it as such. Love your videos! Hugs
Thanks George for another interesting video. Personally, I don’t like the tiny house strategy but I do love properties so it’s always an eye opener. Beautiful location 🏔
Hi George, I couldn't live in this but I could visit the sh*t out of it! That cacoon of a bedroom is amazing. And it's yogurt(north American spelling), just like you said. 😉
Beautiful small house, with a fantastic addition! Great episode! Very reminiscent of RUclipsr Martijn Doolaard, a Dutchman who is renovating 2 very similar ancient structures in the Italian Alps. Like the house in this episode, the construction is stacked stone and Doolaard is completely renovating them. Love your channel! Check out Martijn Doolaard's RUclips channel for more Italian Alps stone building adventures!
Loved the video! You put so much effort into these tours and it is appreciated. Just as a sidenote, I am pretty sure that 'the sink for washing dishes' in the bathroom is actually a Bidet for washing your private parts 😅
Happy New Year 🎊 Nice little cottage. I pronounce it yōgurt. Some people pronounce it with an added "h" before the g, and some pronounce it yawgurt. As a kid we'd have used a little smile above the o to indicate it was a "soft" vowel. The Swedish and Icelandic have got that right!
@George Dunnett Just the same as you pronounce it, but for sure, I've heard people pronounce it with two o's. It's such a funny word, with so many pronounciations. No wonder the english language is ridiculously difficult to learn.
Happy new year to you too! I pronounce yogurt the same way as you (I'm American). But, I have heard some other people (mostly English people, I think) pronounce it with a short "o" instead. Thanks for a lovely video.
Hi, italian here, just wanted to let you know that no, the checker tablecloth is not at all an italian thing. More like an italian american movie thing I guess, I rarely saw it in any restaurant here in Italy and even less in italian houses.

Another enjoyable video, George--keep 'em coming.
What an enjoyable tiny house tour. Your quick wit and beautiful video work make for a very interesting and entertaining watch.
George, that is a beautiful tiny house in beautiful visits. It shows you can turn almost anything into a beautiful tiny house.
Totally agree!
Love your videos. I caught the "sink to do your dishes" comment. Perhaps it can also be used as a bidet? lol
😅
George, thanks for the heads up, seems like the scammers are out in full force, reporting them as I see em also. Thanks for another AWESOME tour!
Thank you! And they certainly are. Hopefully RUclips will do something about them soon.
Definitely enjoyed the tour and humor you slipped in.

Actually, before potato came from the Americas, chestnuts were used as side dish with meats, either cooked and mashed or roasted.
