@@The_Goldenhammer. I don't remember where I heard this, probably the Stormworks subreddit, but apparently he had a post somewhere explaining how his life circumstances has changed (i think it was a new job somewhere else) and he is unable to continue work on his channel.
@18:40 ish looking at that I think it would be nice if the pipes could work for running ropes so you could hide the ropes in structure, so say if you had a moon pool you were wanting to raise and lower a sub in you could hide the whole system in the walls with only the final ropes being exposed
im impressed by your ability to always chuck these videos out post update with basically all relevant information for the new part. ive only started getting into stormworks shortly before mrNJ stopped making content so this helps a lot.

As someone who always starts building big complicated cranes and proceeds to get pissed at the janky ass nature of this game this is a nice addition. Now if only they'd add modular hydraulics that be great
Just adding a torque input to the winches would be all we need. Likely as new blocks as how Stormworks updates. t would also give use gear ratios and speed of motors back. Especially that last one, we need. You could also have Power Take Off systems from a motor.
I predict that the Huge winch will get a lot more popular with this update :D Btw: the winches no longer have a speed setting but now, for some reason the rope anchors have! (it probably was a mistake, but it’s still pretty funny :D)
as always, realy nice demo. looking at your idea of being able to Pull on the ropes, i think, that we need to actually have a force a winch can lift as maximum. As the pullies look right now, it is more or less just a fancy way to redirect the ropes.
I think the allowing hoses and cables is basically required, imagine you build a crane that uses a magall and youre still stuck needing an electric connector going to it so that you can actually power it

It's a nice addition for sure, but as you said. If you go ham with ropes your game will suffer, so prepare for slow mo. I 'd like to see straight pass through version of these too. We could avoid a lot of clipping with that.
now we just need ropes to stop being bungee cords. would be nice to have a stretchy rope and a steel (hard) line for lifting. If we lift any weight the winch lines still stretch and bounce around.

Could you make a tutorial on how to make an auto pressure hold for a small room? (simulate air in and out with pumps) pressure can be set with a keypad, I used a PID but it overshoots it (quite) a bit and "vibrates" in outputs. (Basically pressure hold for over and under pressure?
If I’m understanding you correctly then I did something similar for the ballast tanks on the sub I made. For your setup I would use the Greater-Than and Less-Than Logics. Connect the pump that you use to fill the room to the Less-Than and the pump that pumps out to the Greater-Than. Then connect a meter (Barometer for pressure in this case) to the A ports on the Greater-Than and Less-Than. After that connect you a Keypad to the B ports on the Greater-Than and Less-Than and you should be good. Also might be best to use two small Keypads or one large Keypad to send different set numbers to the Greater-Than and Less-Than (like sending 2 to the Greater-Than and a 1.7 to the Less-Than) so the pressure will fall in between the numbers and the pumps don’t constantly kick on and off.
I would rather have bugs fixed than updates with new features. Its a nightmare to play multiplayer either you die of a bug you glitch in the floor or the physic shits itself when restarting the server

They wont too much for such a studio to have to completety make this work on an xbox and also this game is wayy to performance dependant the xbox whouldt evan be able to play this without alot of limitations like max creations or amount of physics blocks or evan just blocks and there is way to many buttons for an xbox to be able to play this

Losing the speed option in the winches is definitely a L
I really hope they'll add some rps-powered winches. It just feels wrong to use electrical winches on steam powered creations

They can be used to make a simple wrecker now without using the robotic parts
why not a pully that can be powered by rps on the side so you can power it with an engine
