Is there an easy way to check how a velocity pivot is oriented after lots of use? I'm thinking about building a crane truck and I'd love to add an automatic packing function
Im not a expert but im pretty sure Robotic Pivots will not be rotated by external forces no matter what, i once used unpowered Robotic Pivot (power) as the connection between train assemblies and a chasis and they would not turn at all
Yup, they won't be rotated by external forces but they can be "broken" if it is too high of a force. Did I accidentally say something contrary to that? Thanks!
@@454ss_gaming I feel like it was implied you could force them to rotate because of the demonstration but that may have been just me. Though i know what you mean.
I actually use robotic pivots on a train that I'm building, both the compact and fluid variants, and I know many couplers in a train community I am part of put them on robotic pivots that have been turned down to 1-2% power, so they have a little bit of give for the tight curves workbench tracks have, use no electricity (not connected to electric grid at all), and they spring back with sufficient force to be pretty much rigid when not on a curve. Using them significantly lowers the locomotive power needed to get around corners, which can be really helpful, especially so you're not playing a game of chicken between giving it enough power to get around the very curvy tracks at the workbench, but not too much to slam yourself into the end of the track the moment you exit the curve lol. I've also used compact robotic pivots as more of a spring on a few occasions for various other contraptions, they seem to act as a constant force spring to me, haven't done any specific tests though to confirm that. Just some of my experience that I wanted to add in.
A question I not sure I ask how to use or hook up a two robotic power pivot with propellers and use them as rudder and turn in the same direction to turn the boat . Do you have any videos of how do it ?

How do you connect pivots at angles like on that tow truck im having difficulties.
