Qualquer tipo de papel que não seja extremamente grosso ou extremamente fino deve servir (ex: sulfite, papel dobradura, color set, folha de caderno...)
Folding the units and the initial assembly wasn't too hard, but connecting the two end units together is a nightmare.

Fireworks is fun :) I just made one for a collegue. I fold it the same as yours, only skip the step of the diagonals to center. It's fun and doesn't take all too long to make. Most difficult step to me is the last step of folding down the parts between the corners, it usually tends to fall apart lol xD, but more or less 1hr is enough to make it

I'm of the Akira Yoshizowa-John Montroll 'school', but I do dabble in modular origami. This one looks rather nifty, and I must say, Mr. Nakashima, you have some deft fingers there, Sir. Nice video, clear and easy to understand. I shall give this Yamauchi piece a go. Thanks for making this.

Great tutorial! My cousins loved it so I made 6 more by myself. Took many hours :-/ but I got better and a lot faster. Good instructions. Wasn't that hard to make.

Super craft. I did the same. Wonderful papercraft. Hats off thank you for introducing the new idea of making papercraft.make different types.
I made it and showed some of my friends and they asked me if I could make them one, and I go hah huh this took me 2 and a half hours to make if you pay me 20 bucks maybe XD

Thank you for making and sharing the tutorial! I struggled to make one, and had to keep going back and pausing the tutorial.
I ended up tossing my first one because it kept falling apart, and the papers eventually started to tear. I think it was because I used thin and used papers. They were already weak and had folding lines from other origami objects. On my second attempt, I used new thicker and stiffer paper. The final fold areas started to wear out, so I had to use tape to keep them together. I finally succeeded on my third try. Mine turned out smaller and didn't look very neat. I had used papers with patterns (instead of a solid color) on one side and plain white on the other.
You are the only person who tells the viewer which side to start on. (Out of who I have seen). Thank you.
@Engine omar True, but he uses colour and white sided paper.(most of the time)

I used 3 white sheets 3 black and rest colored but the white sheets don't look that amazing. Anyways!

i was soooo happy with the outcome..i mixed colors pink and apple green..i had a little difficulty with folding after connecting them but the outcome was great!! i was like a child smiling all the time after i tried moving it!! it was worth it..thank you :-D

Gosto muito do diagrama publicado. Uma possibilidade a mais para a compreensão. Penso que a diagramação é uma "arte" a mais. Temo que a tendência seja desaparecer por conta das postagens gravadas em vídeo, além de ser muito difícil. Não é qualquer um que consegue fazer uma boa diagramação!

he put the difficulty level to simple! 😂 it took me about an hour to fold 5!
So its almost 2hrs since I began!
Its the connection of the two ends that's stumping me.
I'm using slightly thinner craft paper so the last section on the ends is getting very weak now.
But its bedtime so I have to leave it til tomorrow night.
Maybe I'll get it then.
Next morning while having coffee..............

But had to cheat.....used a paper clip to hold one side together while I fitted and folded the other side.
My advice to beginners.....start with larger paper, maybe 12cm square or even bigger.
Nothing wrong with having a larger star. ;)

Awesome! I used orange and red with bigger (6"-15cm) paper to make fixing easier. Beautiful end result and turns inside out easily.
