I just love how happy the dogs are through the entire performance. Seeing their little tails wag, thinking it’s just a big game, that really makes these special.
@@s.Alekcic this is such a stupid remark. Dogs are made for social cooperation. Cat's clearly aren't as much. But still also cats interact. Some even like to perform with their humans. I appreciate both cats and dogs. But you will never get the kind of empathy and interaction of a dog from a cat. And the fact you are misinterpreting this high level of cooperating as merely command taking, shows you have bluntly speaking, no understanding whatsoever of a dog's psychology.
Chihuahuas can be really sweet dogs if they’re treated and trained like actual dogs! It’s usually the heavily inbred “purse chihuahuas” that end up having the most issues simply because they’ve never been respected, taught boundaries, properly socialized, etc.
I have a Chihuahua corgi mix and seeing this little guy do so amazing made my heart so happy he’s so cute and did so well 😊I’m I’m working on obedience training with my little guy, Maybe one day we’ll get there to.❤
Chihuahuas that have been responsibly bred and treated with respect by their owners are supposedly delightful little dogs. A lot of the negative stereotypes about them are the fault of irresponsible owners. Like those who think it’s funny to make their dog distressed just because he’s small so can’t do much harm. People turn distressing their chihuahuas into content that goes viral, further normalising the disrespect. It’s unfortunate the reputation irresponsible owners have given the breed.
Nice to see other dogs competing apart from just border collies. Border collies are amazing dogs but they're so smart and trainable it's nice to see other breeds shine. The beagle was really impressive
as a beagle owner and lover, i am SHOOK!!! my little idiot could never. ten minutes in, he would have smelled a pretzel in the stands and run off in pursuit of a snack lol

I think sometimes people who don't do training can't quite comprehend just how difficult it is to pull these kinds of routines together. It does takes special dog to do this kind of freestyle work but more than anything it takes a lot of hard work and continual repetition. Takes a patient trainer!
I met someone yesterday who had a chihuahua mix that barked constantly. She said you know how that breed is, they always bark. I told her my chi mix hardly ever barked, and they can be trained not to bark. She was bewildered at that and didn't believe me. Have to say this was one of the most beautifully set out free style I’ve seen - amazing little dog - the bond they must both have with one another(swan lake )
So much unconditional love and joy on display. The dogs show their level of personal regard for their people by being so obviously excited to show off their talents in spite of the environment and in spite of all the potential distractions over a relatively long period of time for this sort of play/work. The music is somewhat questionable in some of the collaborations but the best of each is how the dogs shine and are enjoying everything as they keep getting things “YES!” That beagle was going against every trait breed into its phenotype-ignoring all the smell spots and not barking the entire time. My favorite so far was the chihuahua and Swan Lake, next Papillon and Puff the Magic Dragon. The age of the dogs is heartwarming. They are literally senior citizens and enjoying their lives in the spotlight. ❤ I’ve always understood the happy tail wagging to be like a smile with laughter. You can tell the emotional state of dogs by how much they incorporate their tail wagging with their ear posture and eye contact. Once you can read your dog’s emotions you begin to realize how sensitive and conscious they are. Just like people. You may have an existential crisis when you suddenly discover they understand the language you speak and how much they are trying to communicate with you. Advice: 1) Never say anything to your dog that you wouldn’t say to a child. Remember that you are their world and that your treatment and care will be their entire existence that they have while alive. The positive or negative tone you decide to give them is all they will ever know. 2) Choose to extend love, kindness, safety, happiness, and compassion and they will return it with interest. ❤ 3) Do not ever yell at, scare, threaten, or (horror of horrors) physically punish your dogs about going to the bathroom. Regardless of where or when. It’s a bodily function, not a behavioral choice. It should occur to us that if we were treated like most people treat their dogs in this regard we would be basket cases each time we needed to use a toilet. Can you imagine the anxiety and shame they deal with multiple times on a daily basis simply because they’re never really certain if this bathroom urge will be the one that results in a reprimand, a smack, or the dreaded nose rub? It’s crazy how we do this. We turn something normal into a lifelong stress inducing bodily function. And then we wonder why they act sneaky about it or behave in ways that upset us. It’s never the dogs fault. Don’t ever shame an animal for not being able to use a human toilet, open the door themselves, or control their body to fit into our schedule. I’m getting off the soapbox now. 😂
