Ok. Will say this now cause it's not an spoiler anymore. In the books it's explained Neville's BDay is same as Harry's, therefore, uneasy Longbottom's child could be the one mentioned by the prophecy he sent Bellatrix to them and she tortured Neville's parents with the Crucio curse till braking their minds therefore they live in care at the Hospital St Mungo for Magical Deceased. I genuinely love the scene of Fred and George comforting the little kid after he had to do the "lines" punishment. They joke around and seldom take things seriously, but they are good people who care deeply about others, even if they've only just met them.
Funny thing with Fred and Georges fireworks display. In the books there's a poltergeist named peeves who loves to cause trouble in hogwarts and after that fireworks display, the twins told peeves to give Umbridge hell and he saluted them. They were the only people peeves ever respected after that, and he then proceeds to give Umbridge hell
What’s crazy about Gary Oldman’s work as Sirius is that everyone loves him, but he himself said that his acting was mediocre in Harry Potter in an interview. The main reason for that is that he felt he would have played Sirius differently had he known how things would turn out from the beginning, like Alan Rickman that originally wanted to leave but stayed after J.K told him the way his character goes in the end. I think this is definitely his perfectionist side because his work was stellar but I would have loved to see how different his acting would have been had he known.
I actually think it’s not really due to perfectionism and a valid point. One of my favorite things is going back in a book or movie after I’ve found out the villain turned out to be the hero or the other way around (or in Snape‘s case: the villain turned out to be an a-hole in love who’s not good but also not a villain 🤣). If you, as an actor, don’t know the reasons why your characters behaves in a certain way, those moments don’t exist or you don’t play them right. Sirius has a great (back)story that we don’t really see much of and his scenes are not even hinting at more than very few aspects of it. I didn’t dislike Oldman‘s portrayal but it wasn’t as memorable as in the books and I think that’s not just because of his limited time on screen.
Yes in this book theres a whole chapter about how percy was with the ministry and how hes always adored rules and regulations which is why hes always been so smart but the rest of his family didnt like it so he cut them off because he thought they werent going to appreciate his hard work on finally working for the ministry which he had always wanted since he was a kid
The fight scene between Dumbledore & Voldemort was just a masterpiece, it was so epic and great. And yes Sirius dieing was a huge shock to me back when I first watched this movie (I've haven't read the books), this movie was and overall great movie
22:15 the line “nice one James” is one of the few moments that I think the movies did better then the books it’s a really sad moment that Sirius still misses his friends seconds before he is killed
I wonder how Harry felt about that, actually. Because he had conflicted feelings about his dad at the moment, since he had just learned about the bullying thing.
This one's my favourite of the movies, for many reasons....Luna being introduced, Harry the teacher, the (as i heard someone call her and it stuck with me) pink menace, and the best wizarding battle of the series. Top quality book to movie adaptation.
Sirius being killed and Harry's scream of grief, though muted, is still hard for me to watch, even after seeing it so many times. I've read before that they muted the scream because it was so gut wrenching that even the actors involved became emotional.
@joshcahill9551 Yeha that's right he lost his grandad I believe and the emotion of it all came out in that scream.. the cast members got very emotional on set
Amazing reaction! It would be awesome, if you two considered (after watching all the movies), maybe reading the books and have a "book club" type of videos, where you discuss each of the seven books? ;) I think many people would be curious to hear your thoughts on all the things that were not in the movies. Looking forward to your reactions to movies 6 and 7-8!
Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort was such a good casting choice imo, he plays Voldemort so well and the fight between him and dumbledore never bores me and is probably one of my fave moments within the movies.
The scene with Sirius and Harry in front of the family tree is my favourite of the series. Really sums up the message of the film and the series. Makes me cry every time knowing what’s coming 😢 music is brilliant too
There are a too few HP scenes that show off Gary Oldman's skills but this is maybe the best. He is so warm and gentle with Harry while also showing how bitter and frustrated he is with his family and how his life has turned out, losing his friends, the people he cared about most and then being blamed for their deaths. His guilt over blaming himself for trusting Peter. He is a broken man not helped by being in Azkaban for so long, Harry is the only reason he has to keep going but he's really struggling.
Rob, in the book the theme of Love is a powerful piece of old magic that Voldemort does not understand. It is Love that protected Harry when Voldemort tried to kill him the night that his mother sacrificed herself for him and because of that it creates a shield of protection for him. That sacrifice is linked to Harry's mum's blood and because his aunt Petunia is his blood... Voldemort cant move against Harry as long as Harry lives with his Aunt and Uncle (until the legal age of 17 in their universe). It is this reason why Voldemort couldn't possess Harry for long because the magic of 'Love' in his blood he couldn't take it so he won't be able to possess him again. It will be worth remembering also for future movies that in the last book when Dumbledore heard that Voldemort had used Harry's blood for his own resurrection, Dumbledore smiled a little.. I highly recommend reading the books as they are so much more deeper and something the movies couldn't get round to do; it is why they're making a new TV series in order to make it more like the book.
It is said that Daniel’s scream was muted not only because he’d lost his grandad and it broke everyone on set to hear it, but also because the director knew about how personal that scream was to Daniel Radcliffe, so he muted it out of respect.
FYI: In the book, there is much more about the romance between Harry and Cho, and there are Quidditch matches. The Weasley twins' developing business ambition is also an important backstory.
RIP Sirius, my favorite character. His wand is the only one I have a replica of, and I recently picked up the Grimmauld Place LEGO set just to have a minifigure version of him. Can’t wait to build it :)
Man oh man I needed this today. Was wondering how I was going to get through this evening and then both these vids pop up. Thanks for posting them together. You guys’ reaction to Sirius’s death and Dumbledore’s arrival was awesome.
Interesting fact, the prophecy about Harry was one Professor Trelawney made. Most of the time she seems to have no real ability but every so often she goes into a trance and then she is a powerful prophetess but she does not know she has said anything.
The book is much longer. Percy turns against his family and is on Fudge's side. The next three are even darker. Can't wait to see your reactions to those
An important point to remember is that Harry is the ONLY person to have ever survived the killing curse, which is why he's known as "the boy who lived." The finality of that curse is why it is considered unforgivable and earns the one who uses it a cell in Azkaban. When people die because of that curse, they're truly dead. Many reactors forget the mythology from the beginning about why Harry is famous.
I remember vividly reading the page in which Sirius falls into the veil and how I had to put the book down for a good solid day before I could continue to read 😂
You correctly guessed that James was a bully when young but did change ; otherwise, Lily would never have fallen in love with him. Unfortunately, the victim of a bully has more difficulty letting go of the past, which explains Snape's resentment of James...at least partially.
They unfortunately had to cut a lot out of this film for time, since its actually the longest in the series, even a bit longer than Book 7 which got split into two films, but it still came out awesome. Essentially, Percy got divided from his family by working with the Ministry. There's a two way mirror that comes up later in the series that Sirius gave Harry to communicate to him with, and Harry deeply regrets not using it more. It spent most of the book in his trunk. The Snape memory was actually even longer and there was more shown, and Harry's mom was present for his bullying as well - she tried to defend him, and James said he'd only stop bullying Snape it she went out with him and she told him to piss off. Then they just started harassing him in front of a bunch of other students again. Hermione jinxed the sign up sheet for Dumbledore's Army so whoever ratted them out got a bunch of boils on their face spelling out 'SNITCH' - it was actually Cho's friend, not Cho herself in the book but Harry and Cho still fell out about it because Cho was angry that her friend got hexed and Harry was mad that she told on them. There was Quidditch, too. Fred and George had even more shenanigans too. Harry had given them his prize money from the Triwizard Tournament and they started putting it to use on wild inventions. Everyone hated Umbridge, including every teacher, and they all let the school poltergeist and Fred and Georve torture her 😂
Funny thing, don’t feel bad for the caretaker because he enjoyed taking those pictures down. If you go back and watch, he had a smile on his face taking them down and he was upset, putting them back up. He was Umbridge’s little lapdog, and he loved it.
3:21 in a recent interview Garry said he feels he didn’t give it enough and doesn’t like it called it mediocre. I was shocked always loved him in this.
You finally met my Ravenclaw Shero... LUNA! I ❤️ how she's so intuitive and wise... and can see that which others might not quite understand/comprehend.
I think some of the unrelenting darkness of the last few movies is at least partly due to the problem of adapting the books. The books did get darker and more serious as time went on and the children got older, but they also got significantly longer. Just for comparison, Order of the Pheonix (257K words) was 3x the length of Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone (77K words). So there was a lot of comic relief and other lighter stuff in the later books that had to be cut out of the movies in the name of fitting the major plot points into a reasonable length film.
To be fair it's explained in the book that James Potter and Snape took every opportunity to jinx each other so neither were blameless. The only ones who could see the thestrals they were riding were Ron, Luna and Neville. Brlieve me the other 3 were freaked out about flying through yhe air on something they couldn't see. 😂
@@AlanHollowedPhotographycorrect. Ron described riding on the thestral as “mad” in the novel. Hermione just screamed. Luna comfortably rode hers side-saddle.
Can't wait for the next film react. All i remember from the midnight release is some dude charging out of the exit high on mushrooms and exclaiming the infamous quote.
I love the Dumbledore vs Voldemort fight. It really show how powerfull they are❤ Belatrix Lestrange is a cool and awefull character at the same time. Snape is just awesome❤ Sirius death was quick and really hurts me
I'm with you on missing some of the fun. I love all the movies but everyone focuses on praising the later ones for being darker/more adult. But the wonder and fun of the world is what I come back for.
Hi! Loving your reactions, just discovered y'all with your Firefly reactions. If you're looking for more tv series to watch, I'd like to recommend two: Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (2 seasons & Alan Tudyk is in season 2) & Farscape, an Aussie sci-fi series (4 seasons). If you're looking for movies, I suggest Galaxy Quest & Fifth Element. Keep the content coming, you're both really interesting and thoughtful with your comments. ❤
I never read the books, but through different youtubers, I continue to learn more about the Harry Potter universe. It's going to be interesting to see what the future of the franchise holds, as they are going to do more Harry Potter stuff in the near future. I want to see Harry, Ron, and Hermione as adults. I hear they may make a t.v. series with new child actors replacing them though.
Don’t feel too sorry for the caretaker. Filch has plenty of help. Hogwarts School is the biggest employer of House Elves, who do all the real work and we learn a lot about them in Book four. Dobby is working there and one of the many sub plots involves Hermione and them. Dumbledore gave Filch the job because he’s a ‘squib’ like Mrs Figg and felt sorry for him.
After you finish the Harry Potter series, I recommend watching the deleted scenes. Some of those scenes will explain different events more thoroughly. Especially the last movie.
If you know anything about centuar and women prisoners they are known for sexually assaulting them. In the books they find umbridge later with no physical wounds but she is traumatized and reacts only to the sound of hooves.
Love the content as always. I don’t know if you guys are into gaming, but you should try a campaign in bg3 together, it would be really fun to watch, and I think you will like it.
The Snape and James Conflict is alot less simplistic that is depicted in the film. They hated each other, they often looked for trouble with each other, and there was much more of a back and forth in the books.
Alot of tbe older wizarding families are related by blood and or marriage i havent read the books in quite awhile but dracos mom if i remember is belatrixs sister or cousin or some thing like that ,and nevilles parents were literally driven insane from being tortured and are at the same wizard hospital that gildaroy had to go to when he lost his memories in chamber of sec. and had to get them restored
i the bokk dumbledor vs voldemort was better and show why dumbledore is the only one voldermort is afried of Beginning of the duel "But the headless golden statue of the wizard in the fountain had sprung alive, leaping from its plinth, and landed on the floor with a crash between Harry and Voldemort. The spell merely glanced off its chest as the statue flung out its arms, protecting Harry." - Dumbledore protecting Harry from Voldemort's Killing Curse[src] The duel began when Voldemort entered the Ministry, to find out if the Prophecy was destroyed and to try once again to kill Harry Potter, who had been chasing Bellatrix Lestrange from the Department of Mysteries and was then in the Ministry Atrium. Dumbledore, following Harry, intervened as Voldemort was about to kill Harry. Enchanting the statues from the Fountain of Magical Brethren as his opening move, Dumbledore had the wizard statue (minus its head which had been blown off earlier by Bellatrix) shield Harry and keep him back from the fight so he would be out of danger. Of the remaining statues, the witch went for Bellatrix and pinned her to the floor so she couldn't intervene on Voldemort's behalf, the goblin and house-elf statues left to warn important Ministry officials and the centaur (minus one arm) charged Voldemort. Voldemort responded by Apparating near the fountain pool and firing a curse at Dumbledore, which Dumbledore easily dodged by Disapparating and Apparating by the fountain. The two wizards ceased combat for a moment, trading barbs over each other's life choices and guiding principles, before combat resumed.[1] The duel intensifies Voldemort: "You do not seek to kill me, Dumbledore? Above such brutality, are you?" Albus Dumbledore: "We both know that there are other ways of destroying a man, Tom. Merely taking your life would not satisfy me, I admit -" Voldemort: "There is nothing worse than death, Dumbledore!" Albus Dumbledore: "You are quite wrong. Indeed, your failure to understand that there are things much worse than death has always been your greatest weakness -" - Voldemort arguing with Dumbledore whilst in the midst of their duel[src] fter Voldemort missed Dumbledore, the latter then sent a powerful spell at him, one which the Dark Lord was forced to block with a physical Silver shield; the spell did not harm the shield, but made a deep gong-like sound as it was deflected. Voldemort realised from the non-lethal nature of the spell that Dumbledore never meant to kill him, and, surprised, tried once again to kill Dumbledore; this time, the animated centaur statue intercepted the curse and was destroyed. Dumbledore then cast a fiery rope around Voldemort, which he transfigured into a snake and sent after Dumbledore. The snake served as an attack and as a distraction for Voldemort to Disapparate and Apparate in the middle of the fountain, sending another Killing Curse at Dumbledore. The snake and the curse nearly struck simultaneously, but Fawkes flew in front of Dumbledore and swallowed the curse. Being a phoenix, he burst into flames and was immediately reborn as a tiny, featherless phoenix chick.[1] Simultaneously, Dumbledore caused the snake to vanish before enchanting the water from the fountain to surround Voldemort like a sphere of molten glass. The suffocating sheet of water had been powerfully enchanted and try as Voldemort may, he was unable to break free through sheer force and was forced to Disapparate out. Aftermath After a brief pause where Dumbledore showed his first sign of alarm during the duel, Voldemort attempted to possess Harry, in the hopes that Dumbledore would sacrifice his pupil to kill the Dark Lord. However, the power of Harry's love made it impossible for him to possess Harry for long and he was forcibly ejected. Realising that he had run out of time, and that he had failed to kill either Harry or Dumbledore, Voldemort fled as Dumbledore tended to Harry, taking Bellatrix with him, but only after he was seen by Ministry officials who had just Apparated into the Ministry. The duel was over, Harry was saved, and the Ministry could no longer deny the fact that Voldemort had returned.[1] from a fan
I know this is out of place. But I hope you watch the x-men series and eventually Logan. It's such a strong ending and you'll realize you chose a good thing to react to.
no he did not miss spoke harry name is harry james potter and sirius called him taht as a sign of respect because he was as good as his dad and he looks like him
Incorrect. Sirius had been warned earlier (in the novel, at least), to not confuse Harry with being his old friend, James. Sirius mistakenly called Harry by the wrong name in the heat of battle, as if reliving the thrill of the old times.
@@WicketParakeet No prob. Sirius didn’t actually say it at that time in the book. Things are usually much clearer in books versus movies since so much has to be left out whilst filming. More so than usual in this particular case as the novel was so long; longest of the series, I believe. My biggest issue with this film, if I had to pick, is how much was left out.

I genuinely love the scene of Fred and George comforting the little kid after he had to do the "lines" punishment. They joke around and seldom take things seriously, but they are good people who care deeply about others, even if they've only just met them.
Man, your HP reactions make my days. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Thank you so much for the support! and all the great comments!
Yes, in the books, flying on the thestrals is weird for everyone else. It feels like they're getting on a horse but can't see it
Ron's reaction in the book is classic
Any time Trin curses, I smile haha
It is said that Daniel’s scream was muted not only because he’d lost his grandad and it broke everyone on set to hear it, but also because the director knew about how personal that scream was to Daniel Radcliffe, so he muted it out of respect.
beautiful, it was great to watch with you, hugs from Brazil
FYI: In the book, there is much more about the romance between Harry and Cho, and there are Quidditch matches. The Weasley twins' developing business ambition is also an important backstory.
RIP Sirius, my favorite character. His wand is the only one I have a replica of, and I recently picked up the Grimmauld Place LEGO set just to have a minifigure version of him. Can’t wait to build it :)
Luna adds that touch of light the movie really needs ! Such a great character. And I'm going to say it ... Umbridge is worse than Voldemort XD
Is Umbridge really worse than Voldemort, though? Yeah, she's more annoying, but as far as I know, she's never even killed anyone...
I think your reading to much into this XD@@samjohnson7869
Man oh man I needed this today. Was wondering how I was going to get through this evening and then both these vids pop up. Thanks for posting them together. You guys’ reaction to Sirius’s death and Dumbledore’s arrival was awesome.
Gary Oldman gave so much inspiration to Danielle Radcliff in his acting career.
Interesting fact, the prophecy about Harry was one Professor Trelawney made. Most of the time she seems to have no real ability but every so often she goes into a trance and then she is a powerful prophetess but she does not know she has said anything.
Most likely why Dumbledore keeps her in the castle. Voldemort would be after her for sure
The book is much longer. Percy turns against his family and is on Fudge's side. The next three are even darker. Can't wait to see your reactions to those
This movie was about getting the magic world to believe that Voldermort is actually back.
Thank you for another great reaction, Rob and Trin❤
Can`t wait for the next one :)
“We didn’t even get a quidditch game in this one” lol.
Order of the Phoenix is definitely my favorite of the movies. The soundtrack/score is a big standout for me.
Glad you guys are liking these!
Yay, you made my Valentines ❤ Thanks
I’m loving this journey for y’all. Keep it up!
Correction, I believe only Luna Neville and Harry could see them, Hermione, Ron and Ginny couldn't see them.
@@AlanHollowedPhotographycorrect. Ron described riding on the thestral as “mad” in the novel. Hermione just screamed. Luna comfortably rode hers side-saddle.
Said it in the video for Part 1, but for the algorithm’s sake, thank you for your reactions. ❤️
You're really in the thick of it now. The next movie is my favorite of the series. Great reaction.
Can't wait for the next film react. All i remember from the midnight release is some dude charging out of the exit high on mushrooms and exclaiming the infamous quote.
Such a great film series. I can't wait to see your reactions to the remaining parts.
I love the Dumbledore vs Voldemort fight. It really show how powerfull they are❤
Belatrix Lestrange is a cool and awefull character at the same time.
Snape is just awesome❤
Sirius death was quick and really hurts me
Them flying to london, in the books it was weird and the rest said they never wanna do that again.
So excited to see this one! Bellatrix is my 2nd favorite character after Snape.
No - the correct way to finish the statement is - we have something Voldemort doesn’t: noses
hehe nice one!
Even Rob the Slytherin hated Umbitch.
22:11 he didn't mispoke. Harry's middle name is 'James'. It's 'Harry James Potter' (HJP)
Yes, he misspoke. He never called Harry by his middle name...
@@samjohnson7869Correct. Again! 😉 In the novel Molly even told Sirius to not confuse Harry with being his old friend, James.
Weird that so many people are related in these movies. Bellatrix being sister to Tonks and Narcissa but also Sirius’ cousin.
I think Bellatrix is Tonk's aunt, she's sisters with Tonk's mother.
@@samjohnson7869Correct
Sirius is my absolute favorite character. I was devastated when he died in the books 😭😭😭
Baadasss scenes in Harry Potter.... Oh boy you'll change your mind with the next movies lol and with fantastic beasts
I’m going to throw in A Very Potter Musical again 😄 I think you’d like it, especially Voldemort
After you finish the Harry Potter series, I recommend watching the deleted scenes. Some of those scenes will explain different events more thoroughly. Especially the last movie.
Alittle tidbit. In real life the actress who played Luna and the one who played young James Potter were in a relationship for 6 yrs.
If you know anything about centuar and women prisoners they are known for sexually assaulting them. In the books they find umbridge later with no physical wounds but she is traumatized and reacts only to the sound of hooves.
Yup! Every time I see a reactor complain that Umbridge doesn't die, I'm like, "Well, she WAS gang assaulted by horses, that's probably worse..."
Love the content as always. I don’t know if you guys are into gaming, but you should try a campaign in bg3 together, it would be really fun to watch, and I think you will like it.
The Snape and James Conflict is alot less simplistic that is depicted in the film. They hated each other, they often looked for trouble with each other, and there was much more of a back and forth in the books.
you should also remember that we only see the relationship between Snape and James from the viewpoint Snape and his memories are decidedly one sided
Yes, Bellatrix, Narcissa (Draco’s mom) and Andromeda (Tonk’s mom) are sisters.
When you finish the Harry Potter series, will you be doing the Fantastic Beasts trilogy as well?
u enjoy the happy moments ... RIP
i the bokk dumbledor vs voldemort was better and show why dumbledore is the only one voldermort is afried of
Beginning of the duel
"But the headless golden statue of the wizard in the fountain had sprung alive, leaping from its plinth, and landed on the floor with a crash between Harry and Voldemort. The spell merely glanced off its chest as the statue flung out its arms, protecting Harry."
- Dumbledore protecting Harry from Voldemort's Killing Curse[src]
The duel began when Voldemort entered the Ministry, to find out if the Prophecy was destroyed and to try once again to kill Harry Potter, who had been chasing Bellatrix Lestrange from the Department of Mysteries and was then in the Ministry Atrium.
The two wizards ceased combat for a moment, trading barbs over each other's life choices and guiding principles, before combat resumed.[1]
The duel intensifies
Voldemort: "You do not seek to kill me, Dumbledore? Above such brutality, are you?"
Albus Dumbledore: "We both know that there are other ways of destroying a man, Tom. Merely taking your life would not satisfy me, I admit -"
Voldemort: "There is nothing worse than death, Dumbledore!"
Albus Dumbledore: "You are quite wrong. Indeed, your failure to understand that there are things much worse than death has always been your greatest weakness -"
- Voldemort arguing with Dumbledore whilst in the midst of their duel[src]
fter Voldemort missed Dumbledore, the latter then sent a powerful spell at him, one which the Dark Lord was forced to block with a physical Silver shield; the spell did not harm the shield, but made a deep gong-like sound as it was deflected.
Being a phoenix, he burst into flames and was immediately reborn as a tiny, featherless phoenix chick.[1]
Simultaneously, Dumbledore caused the snake to vanish before enchanting the water from the fountain to surround Voldemort like a sphere of molten glass. The suffocating sheet of water had been powerfully enchanted and try as Voldemort may, he was unable to break free through sheer force and was forced to Disapparate out.
Aftermath
After a brief pause where Dumbledore showed his first sign of alarm during the duel, Voldemort attempted to possess Harry, in the hopes that Dumbledore would sacrifice his pupil to kill the Dark Lord.
The duel was over, Harry was saved, and the Ministry could no longer deny the fact that Voldemort had returned.[1]

27:33 ....... A nose
After this series can you guys get into Daniel Radcliffes drastic change in his acting career after Harry Potter?
Swiss Army Man!
I know this is out of place. But I hope you watch the x-men series and eventually Logan. It's such a strong ending and you'll realize you chose a good thing to react to.
😊
I hope when you are done with Harry Potter you give Fantastic Beasts a shot. So many reactors just dont bother.
no he did not miss spoke harry name is harry james potter and sirius called him taht as a sign of respect because he was as good as his dad and he looks like him
Incorrect. Sirius had been warned earlier (in the novel, at least), to not confuse Harry with being his old friend, James. Sirius mistakenly called Harry by the wrong name in the heat of battle, as if reliving the thrill of the old times.
@@Ernwaldo ok soory someone tolde me that was the reason
@@WicketParakeet No prob. Sirius didn’t actually say it at that time in the book. Things are usually much clearer in books versus movies since so much has to be left out whilst filming. More so than usual in this particular case as the novel was so long; longest of the series, I believe. My biggest issue with this film, if I had to pick, is how much was left out.
