Jones, O.Peterson, Errol gardner etc. But in the last few years, i discover Beegie Adair, i will try to listen your beautiful tunes that remenber the wonderful music, Jazz spécialy. I too only heard of Beegie this year. I love her style. I too am a late comer to piano lessons, I started them at 70 years of age, 2 years ago. I am really enjoying learning to play
I tried to play like this. I wish-never got it. What a genius! Just the style I love. She is new to me 5/1 and i wonder why I never heard of her before. My other piano idol is Michael Feinstein. I started 50 years too late.
Oh for the days of strong melodic lines and intelligent lyrics. What we owe our American friends for their great song book. Have totally given up on modern rock and pop, repetitive, no diction, moronic lyrics etc .etc.
