If you want even more corn flavor, you can simmer/boil the core of the corn cob as well and then remove later. It's a common technique in Asian cooking for recipes like congee.

I made a pot of this for my lunches last week. It was fabulous. It was flavourful and tasty. I enjoyed it every day. The quantities here did for six days and that was a reasonable potion for me but i could see some people wanting more. I used frozen corn since this is what i had in and the taste was good. It kept well in the fridge. I will be making again.

I just made this tonight, it is very good! I have always had this thing with soups and stews where I have to have lots of bread with it because of texture. But I am cutting down on bread now. Totally did not need bread with this, it's very filling and the texture has enough variety that I dont get put off.
It's warming and comforting as well. Thank you so much!

🥹 thank you so so much! this means a lot. i shared this with some others about my format:
i had a meeting with some RUclips folks. we talked about goals i have for the channel and where they felt i had opportunity. this format seems to be "best" for cooking channels (per them). since a big mission of mine is to reach as many people as i can, i figured i would try it out for a while. please hang in there... this isnt necessarily here to stay but if it means i can help impact more peoples lives for the better, i would appreciate the support.
ps. trying this format is so hard for me. mostly because i feel i create something unique in my own format. so trying this will help me feel better whether it works or not. because i won't live in regret wondering "what if...".

After I added the plant butter and spices and was browning the corn in my Dutch oven, my 10 year-old daughter walked by and said, "Oh my God, why does that smell so good?" It was almost like you called it in the video. Great recipe. Thank you.
